Pros: — Quiet and clean hotel (perfect for those who are into relaxing holidays) — Spotless swimming pool (though, in my opinion, Crete as a beach heaven is not the right place to enjoy swimming pools) — 2-minute walking distance to the (pebbly) beach (see the image) — Friendly and attentive staff — Great restaurants/tavernas nearby (about 1.5 km away) Cons: As I was heading to the hotel shortly after I arrived in Crete, I received a phone call from the reception. They told me that due to a technical problem involving Expedia (don’t know what kind of problem it could be, as it never happened to me before), they weren’t able to arrange a room for me for the first night of my 6-night-long stay, which they could somehow only realize the day of my arrival despite the fact that the booking was done several weeks before. They said they booked another room for me in another hotel (on their expense, of course), which was about 2 km away from Chryssana Beach. Fair enough, stuff happens. After spending a night and going through the hassle of unpacking and packing again, I went to Chyrssana Beach the next day with the expectation of a token of their apology. What they offered me was one free dinner at the hotel, for which you can see the comments below, and 15% discount for the drinks at the hotel, which I never used. The lady at the reception also told me that the room they arranged for me was her “favorite”.

The common parts are new and well-groomed, but the rooms are decidedly dated and overlooked. In the bathroom the curtain does not completely cover the shower tray, resulting in flooding every time you use it. During the stay the cleaning service was limited to rearrange the bed, in the bathroom they did not even enter to change the towels. Also not recommended is the in-house restaurant that always offers only the usual vegetables.

Quiet and restful, great service and great cuisine. The pool is very nice. The sea is close, but the beach is of large pebbles.

Very nice, quite and beautiful hotel. The most friendly personnel we ever met during holidays. Very helpful and interested in the hotel guests. They all made our stay a wonderful and unforgettable leave period at Crete. Thanks a lot and jassas.

A tidy clean hotel in very quiet surroundings. 15 minute walk to village centre. Good pool area with lawns. Almost deserted pebble beach on doorstep.

Very good balance between price and quality. We were at the begining of the season and what really impressed me is the adorable smell of jasmin coming from the gardens of the hotel. Stuff is very kind. Special thanks to Sophia for giving us elaborative advices about places to visit.

Very relaxing (very quiet) place for young couples or the people who has reached the wisdom (because of age :). A little bit is far from the center, but after a short walk you get the tavernas and markets, souvenir shops. The stuff is very kind, the recepcionists are helpfull. Breakfast is typical (continental), but good and tasty. I like this place! Highly recommended to rent a car for discover the nearly places (Falassarna, Elafonissi, Paleochora).

We have just returned from a week at the Chryssana beach hotel, Kolymbari, Chania, Crete. The hotel was excellent, very clean and tidy with lovely rooms (with sea views) that were serviced every day. The staff and owners were very friendly and helpful. The pool and gardens were well tended. The breakfasts were very enjoyable. All in all, we loved our stay at the Chryssana and would definately go back. Kolymbari harbour was a short walk away and hosted some beautiful fish restaurants. The beaches are quite pebbly but we found some lovely quiet areas to spend the day snorkelling and chillaxing.

Small hotel. Rooms with balconies and beautiful sea views! Small bathroom with mini shower but adequate! Room was equipped with a 1, 4 m bed, seating, closet (just for hanging) and a makeup table! Breakfast was enough, but there was no variety! Pool was large and very clean. Sufficient loungers were available, otherwise you could also make yourself comfortable on the lawn. Pool snack bar is highly recommended! The beach is right outside the door and is separated only by a quiet street. There are no sun loungers and parasols on the beach. It is perfect for swimming, it quickly goes deep into the water! The village of Kolymbari and harbour can be reached on foot in 10 minutes. There are many shops and restaurants. The nearest supermarket is just 5 minutes away. We went on 3 trips. Samaria Gorge 16 km hiking and finally rewarded with a dip in the sea. Walk from the hotel to Afrata Beach 2 std a distance. Free loungers on the beach. Mystical Crete Tours (in the village of Kolymbari — top price performance) we drove to Elafonisi, fine sandy beach, flat-sloping into the sea. It was a lovely time in Crete.

The rooms are tiny and the bathrooms old and not well mantained, the bath looked dirty, chep toilet paper, ok breakfast but finished half hour before the actual time, the starts are for the swiming pool, common areas and friendly and helpful staff.

Descent place, nice swimmingpool and bar with happy hour for cocktails. Breakfast was almost the same every day. Close to market and beach.

The hotel was beautiful, but it was very remote from any thing it's perfect if u only want to sit next to the pool for relaxation, for us personally it was very boring an had no life, would definitely recommend hiring a car an travelling to the other towns.

Chryssana Beach Hotel is perfect if you want to experience the Greek life away for the big city's. There are close by restaurants and supermarkets for all your needs, the only problem with the hotel is their Internet. Their Internet is so bad that you can hardly do anything, it takes 20 min to load a 3 min long YouTube video also your connection shuts on and off all the time.

Beautiful mini resort. The food is amazing, the chef is great. The pool is a decent size, and the spa treatment is also really nice. The rooms are clean and of decent size. Really enjoyed my stay there and would go back for sure.

In June 2014, we were one week in the Chryssana Beach Hotel and very satisfied with regards to the rooms, the service of the staff, the quality of the breakfast and the cleanliness. Special mention is the entire staff, from the housekeeping bishin to the reception (in particular Mrs. Eda, Angelika, Manolis), as well as the General Manager Mr. Spiros, who acted as the staff always very prudently, friendly and quiet. The location of the hotel is wound nice and just a few minutes from a very quiet beach (pebble). Swimming pool and above all the green area in the Centre of the hotel are very well maintained.
In the course of our stay we have again brought as far as possible, a very sweet young cat, which we (severely emaciated) found in a bad state when the car, front man. After the visit to the veterinarian and purchase of special food and enough spare food, we went back up according to the information of employees of Mrs EDA and the GM with the health and condition. We have called the hangover Chryssano. Who ever the hotel visited, please look a little after the hangover. We have feed up to approx. End of October 2014 sent in addition to the hotel. Please also outside feeds from hotels E. G. In taverns cats and possibly dogs. Where cats rather on the road here in smaller groups. The animals are so grateful and the food can be bought in any supermarket. The locals have due to the crisis as well as money for animal feed, what harm is sad.

For a hotel like the bathroom but isn't up to par. Shower (with awning) which flooded the bathroom completely. Bathroom very small. Somewhat secluded, Pebble Beach and not equipped away. For the small country need to walk for a quarter of an hour. Recommended to have the car. Positive experience and would recommend.

Clean room, great service, delicious food, super pool. Luxury at a reasonable price. Close to everything.

Chryssana Beach Hotel is a great hotel and it is ideal for families. We had very relaxing holidays.
