Very old hotel hotel, broken multiple repaired lying, no socket ventilation or windows in the bathroom, dirty bedding!
The food was ok but the drinks of horror, powder edible orange juice for breakfast, bitter coffee, cocktails were cheap powder juice alcohol mixtures : (
Service was partly unfriendly and the worst was at the buffet where of the many guests who crowded, no one stood and squeezed a mask and the waiters clapped the food on the plate!
The only pool was salt water super warm and always crowded, the animation was just annoying and noisy!
The garden was very nice and the location was also ok, despite transfer over two hours from the airport.
We can't recommend it!

Just home form this beautiful hotel… had a great time and would recommended a holiday here… reception. Bar staff. Even maids cleaning our room were all very friendly… but the animation team were fantastic… these guys had a great part of making our holiday wonderful… they work hard to entertain everyone… thank you creta star for a great holiday… p. S food was fabulous too… we certainly will be back xx.

Beautiful hotel in a lovely location, great food and drink variety. Hotel staff were the best: professional welcoming manager in restaurant, head barman in pool bar is brilliant, cleaners do an amazing job, Animation entertainment team fabulous, waitresses and waiters are fabulous, especially Anna who is leaving today though. “Choose Crete, Choose Creta Star! ”

Everything about the hotel is to a high standard. The food is plentiful and varied. Entertainment is very good. Can not fault it.

It were two beautiful weeks for me and mu wife in creta star… Ambient very nice and accurated, staff very kind friendly and with a lot of experience, food was fantastic!

Very good hotel with the feet in the water! All the staff is friendly and competent. The restaurant offers a wide variety of dishes. All rooms have a balcony, but no safe, they are at home. Unfortunately, as in all hotels, guests reserve the sunbeds very early in the morning and there are almost never. Around the hotel, there are 3 supermarket and 1 distribanque, but the city bus n°20, which is air-conditioned, going to Rethymnon and runs every 1/2 hour.

Just arrived back from an amazing 10 nights at Creta Star. The hotel itself is immaculate, quite modern and just beautiful to look at! Every member of staff couldn’t be more friendly, the bar staff work extremely hard and are all amazing! They all make an effort to talk to you and get to know you. The entertainment team are also faultless — Monica and Maria were our favourites, they put so much effort to go around and talk to everyone and are so enthusiastic and you can see they love what they do! The chefs and kitchen staff are always smart looking, and polite, all friendly faces. Same goes for the cleaners, they were just the nicest ladies ever and you can see they work very hard to keep the hotel and rooms clean. They always greeted us on passing them. Pool was cleaned every morning, and the groundsmen also made sure the hotels grounds were in a really good condition. Food was delicious with plenty to choose from. The hotel is out of the way a bit costing 20€ for a taxi into the old town, however you have everything you need at the hotel with a little supermarket right next to it and inside the hotel. If you want a relaxing holiday with friendly staff, amazing food and overall a very clean hotel then I would 100% recommend Creta Star. Thank you to all the staff for making our holiday one to remember.

The food is top notch, but the hotel itself is old — it would do well to upgrade. Beach is rocky, it is better to have co-ots. Shoes. There are no problems with sunbeds, but the best places (at the pool, in the shade, under umbrellas) from the early morning deal with towels, as everywhere else. So if you like to sleep, you will stay some out of the way or in the sun.

A bit older hotel but it is being kept in a really nice condition. Food is good, every single item in open buffet has a marker with alergens. Staff is willing to help you if you have a food alergy (for example they brought me gluten free bread and deserts). You can access the sea from the beach only in a few locations, but the sea is clean and shallow. And if you have a birthday during your stay they will even bring you champagne and a cake and staff will wish you (This was really surprising and my mother was very gratefull for this. Thank you! :) ).

For lovers of recreation (rather than binge drinking) this is the perfect place!

Very nice, spacious, clean 4-star hotel. Excellent service, delicious and varied food, animation in the daytime in the bassin with a fitness instructor, in the evenings entertainment in the form of a musical, comedy, songs, dances, competitions.
Pool for those with very young children, indoor pool with warm water, cocktails for all tastes, cooling drinks and.
You're not going to get bored here.

Currently on our last day of a 10 day stay. A lovely hotel. Very clean, plenty of choice with food, all staff very friendly and attentive (from the maids that clean and make the beds, to the reception staff to those that serve in the restaurants and bars). Animation team work long hours and are friendly, they are always on the go. We were a party of 7 (3 rooms), when we first arrived one room didn’t have a balcony. We spoke to reception and they changed the room to one with a balcony. Which we were pleased about as on line and in their leaflet, it does state ALL rooms have an outside area/balcony.
Family room number 600 has amazing views and a huge ‘L’ shaped balcony. Beach was also lovely, albeit a bit rocky, beach shoes advised. Harry was friendly and always accommodating (both in the Italian restaurant as well as at the bar). Main man in the buffet restaurant would always go out of his way to say hello. Definitely recommend the Italian restaurant, gorgeous food and fantastic views watching the sun set.

It's a great hotel! A solid four! The animation team is especially memorable!

Not recommended. Lunges cost 7 euros at the hotel's own beach. Lying in the garden and pool were all reserved early in the morning. Hotel is crowded. A great many Russians. No proper air conditioning just fake ventilation system. Rooms in the years. No four stars unfortunately.

Nice hotel, but h already in the years.
Old tiles, old joints and old doors. While everything is Sauber, it no longer shines.
The mini golf course is not recommended (3 clubs and 2 balls and the ball jumps on the rubber track in each direction and the playground slowly rotts.
The pool is great, but there is also nothing special (water features, slides or aquatic animals).
If you want to see Creta and go to the beach, however, the hotel is highly recommended.

Very nice neat hotel complex, clean rooms, not light courtesy and nice staff. Food was varied and delicious, who finds nothing should stay at home. Car rental, a few meters from the hotel, very cheap and good. I have one more comment to get rid of the negative posters. Those who judge this hotel negatively should stay at home. Would you like to see the person who will always have their facility up to date at home!? The hotel is super clean and the food varied! So Nörgler, books 6stars in the future;) Or stay at home!

Great buffet stay varies the staff is adorable pity that people reserve the sunbeds in the morning for the not to go right away wide choice of cocktails.

A very nice clean and well maintained hotel complex. The food is delicious and something for every taste. All the staff are super friendly and Wi-Fi is also available in the outdoor area very well. From here you can take a relaxing day trip and the car is conveniently located opposite the rental.

Staff are really polite and attentive. I'd ask for a room far from the lift & fire door as it was quite noisy.

Hotel is very secluded, evening walks pointless outside of the hotel there is nothing of interest. The hotel is very nice, unfortunately very secluded. A week is enough.

The place is well located. You have access to the beach and other activities (such as the gym or Jacuzzi) in the hotel. The rooms may lack "cozy beds". Every evening, themes of very different meals are offered and you eat easily to your hunger (note however that clothes are regulated)

We were there the second time and will certainly be there again this year, a top class hotel, very nice clean facility, top service, very good food with an enormous selection of delicacies, very friendly staff, clean rooms and very Quiet.

Was very nice there. Clean rooms, nice and friendly employees, large buffet with plenty of choice and located directly on the beach. The bus stop to the nearest town was also right next to the hotel. I can only recommend.

I love coming here in the summer with the fantastic service I am given and the weather is a bonus.

Great location. Nice staff, very good food, nicer — albeit smaller — but not overrunning Beach (October), clean and plenty of program. Something has come in the years, but still not old-looking and very beautiful! One feels very comfortable and like in a — the stars-appropriate hotel! We will come back again!

Great Hotel
Although the rooms should be refurbished, they are no longer up to date.
But the hotel grounds with a direct location on the beach, the nice staff and the food make up for it again.
So we weren't here last time.

We had this Hotel as a 5 star Premium Deluxe busy, unfortunately, far from it! Not a nice room, much too small bed, a bathroom without ventilation, poor cleaning, and, moreover, is still a toddler in the Hotel, although this as Erwachsenenhotel is offered. Pool bar during the day only as Getränkeausgabe and although the tables and chairs available no operation. Staff although trying, but not enough for a 5 star Hotel. Food bland and tasteless.

Were the last week of August we were there. Had been very beautiful there. The staff was very friendly. There a lot of nice people have met and made some excursions. Was overall a great week! Male, 20.

Great hotel. The service is 1a. (For the most part german speaking) staff is always friendly. Has a keen ear for problems. With us was scaled the shower head, immerhalb a short time he was been renewed.
Food totally surprised US: every day a different theme.
Rooms are clean and very well decorated. Also the daily cleaning of the room was without complaint.

Only downside animations are limited in days, the evening better appreciate the calm, not dances! The night club offers shows from another world, not very interesting.

Creta star is exactly the right hotel for a relaxing seaside holiday. Unfortunately, it is not well suited for strolling and shopping, because up to Rethymnon, but a corner are gone quickly to reach families with small children and buggy to, however, but a little awkward with the bus. Still, the holiday was a success and our two girls from 15 months to 12 years old have had super lots of fun there. The animation is excellent and lovingly cares for the guests. The food was just very rich old — and for every reach something tip. Just a great holiday, even though we had a few problems at the departure in Germany and our stroller first on the day of departure to came, but this hotel was nothing, on the contrary, the travel line locally has endeavoured very drum to get it anyway, whatever, it's still well must. The staff is extremely friendly, especially to the children. The rooms were super nice.

To Whom it may concern, I am writing to inform you that I had a extremely wonderful two weeks at the "creta star" with my family from July 9th through to July 23rd. The staff and management took excellent care of us. And the animation team was brilliant and had a positive attitude always. This was the best holiday in my life. I will in any case next year again enjoy for Creta star my vacation. It was to be really awesome! I was all happy, so. :~).

The Creta star hotel is a very attractive hotel. Everything is very clean and well maintained, the food is very good and the staff friendly and obliging. It can only recommend the hotel.

Need to change the rooms you can loose the bus if you ask somethink to the reception (only one staff? ) thats normal: (.
