Well run by the most friendly and helpful family. Rooms spotlessly clean, good breakfast choice, ideal position for town, bars and beach. Wouldn’t stay anywhere else.

Considering the hotel is only a 3 star hotel, the hotel is good. Kind staff, clean rooms, air conditioning and very central to city centre, beach and old town. The breakfast is somewhat simple. Little to choose from.

Good location, close to the beach, tourist information, restaurants and the city center. The rooms were small, but nice and very clean. The bathrooms were nice, clean and roomy. The breakfast was simple and tasty, including a great greek yoghurt and homemade jams. Super friendly staff! My only negative experience was the somewhat unstable Wi-Fi signal in my room, but overall, I enjoyed my stay very much!

A great place to stay. A lovely family run hotel with good quality rooms and showers. All the family make you very welcome and will do anything to help you. A very good buffet breakfast. The beach is at the end of the road and the Old Town is a short walk. Once you have been you will want to go back, as we have.

First impression was very comfortable, great hotel with good location close to beach and town and the port. Small and friendly family-run hotel. The rooms are small, with small balcony but free air conditioning! There is good free Wi-Fi for up and down. Very breakfast day, but tasty. Delicious Greek yoghurt, bread, cheese, cereals, jams and cakes. Could be eaten outside or with a very relaxed atmosphere. Cleaning staff were very good and caring. Beds were hard, but rooms were very soundproofed from the outside street noise. We had a nice chilled week with beautiful hotel, it was very good value for money.

We returned from a two-week stay, and it put into three words:-What A find! 5 star hospitality service by our hosts namely Christanthi and her sons Marios and Yannis. Our air-conditioned bedrooms located at the front of the hotel and it was always to a high standard. Sheets and towels were frequently changed. Refrigerators are delivered free of charge. All traffic to cut the well equipped balcony doors, ensure that we had always a peaceful night's sleep. An ideal place for couples to stay. The majority of Astalis customers are "Repeater". On most nights, the courtyard at the top of Astali will meet alive with holidaymakers for drinks after their evening meal. A nice added touch is, if Christanthi is their home-made cakes and sweets; We have stayed at higher rated hotels, and the Astali surpasses most of them in kindness. The only downside is that it is not ideal for wheelchair users.

Astali Hotel, Rethymnon Arrived home yesterday after 2 weeks at the Astali Hotel. This is the first time we have booked a hotel without a swimming pool but we did not miss it one bit. The family work so hard to ensure their guests are happy and the hotel is extremely well run and friendly. Nothing is too much trouble. We had an early pick up for a trip and merely enquired if cereal could be ready for us but when we came down the full breakfast was available for us. There was always a nice chat on our way in or out and we learnt a few words of Greek and offered a few words of Welsh in return. The position of this hotel is ideal for The Old Town, beach or harbour. We had a comfortable room and once the balcony doors were closed we heard no traffic noise. We had a wonderful holiday and will return. This holiday is probably the best value we have had anywhere in Greece and we wish them a successful season. From room 206-666-20th June 2013. Xx.

A great place to stay, the Astali hotel in Rethymnon very friendly family this family-run hotel just can not enough for them the ball always had a great time in this very clean and tidy accommodation, breakfast is a good time as we very well, everything that they want clean sheets and towels every day good bar prices plus home, will not miss fruit and jam to the best Lemonatha of the world and have.
