Reviews of Hotel Villa Subklew
➜ Unfriendly owner. No air conditioning. Overpriced.
➜ The positive reviews about the hotel can be found on well-known hotel search engines. As far as I can judge, they are true. However, there are some points that for me are a complete no-go:
1. No refrigerator in the room, although this is incomprehensible for the village with the most hours of sunshine and the highest temperatures in Germany.
2. No hair dryer.
3. No network reception (! ) in the whole building! Neither Vodafone nor Telekom managed to penetrate the building. To make a phone call, I had to walk 50 meters from the hotel. Sure, this is little guilt from the hotel itself, but clear minus for the village. In order to clarify the question in advance whether this was the fault of mobile phones themselves, I can only say the following. In total, we had three phones (2 iPhones and Samsung Galaxy S6) and no reception at all three.
4. Furthermore, there is Wi-Fi only on the ground floor within a radius of 3 meters around the reception. So, even in the breakfast room you couldn't get Wi-Fi. If we add up points 3 and 4, then we were completely cut off from the digital world.
Conclusion: despite the kindness of the hotel owners, I and my family will not come back. 3 points are only available for efforts of the family that runs the hotel.

Very nice and centrally located hotel with super friendly hosts. Clean rooms and a great breakfast! I would visit the hotel again at any time.
