Great sights! And castle is very interesting in itself.

The castle is quaint. We had a room in the Watchtower/Youth hostel. Simple, two bunk beds, 2Stühle, a table. Finished. That's all you need to stay overnight. Communal toilets are modern. Room as well as bathroom and toilet were spotlessly clean.
Although not logged in, we got supper, €6 per person. Goulash with dumplings and great salads, sausage, cheese pudding, fruit and much more, really gorgeous.
The breakfast was not less extensive and quality as well as the evening meal.
The staff were very friendly and helpful.
Conclusion: 3Sterne for the room. Staff and great food catapult the star number to at least 4 stars.

We had hoped for more. Well we could access the tower. The rest was too. It all worked a bit abewirtschafftet. Without hurting anyone, next time around, we'll drive by. There are worthwhile goals.

Something exceptional to stay at a castle. 3 nights have cost 208, 00 Euro incl. Breakfast for 2 persons, absolutely fair. Dogs are also allowed, of one friend, of the other enemy. We had one, so another plus. In the village of Hohnstein itself is not very much, in the evening it looks very mau to be comfortable with a beer a possibly End of the hiking day. Nice staff, good choice of breakfast buffet. Ideal for families who love nature.

Very nicely located in Saxon Switzerland. Very good food and very friendly staff. And everything maintained and clean.

Absolute Inability! In terms of booking, everything else I can't judge. I have sent a request by E-Mail, for a booking for two people in the Hotel. With special conditions (agreed upon). The people who had replied to my E-Mails, have no idea about the agreement, and the "Chef" had it not been for questions. For this reason, I told to reserve the room, without obligation to have it cleared with the "boss". I called in two weeks the rhythm to Know what the current Status is with regard to the agreed-upon cost. No Info. Now, I get the Information that there are no rooms in the Hotel are free. So either don't do it on purpose because they need to, or just can't do it. As mentioned at the beginning, I was just the booking, don't judge the performance!

A visit to Burg Hohenstein. There is a parking lot right in front of the Burg. It has only limited parking spots and is free. There is an entrance fee to the Burg. Inside you will find old artifacts from back when it was still intact. Take a climb up the tower and it will offer you fantastic views over the Polenztal. Inside the Burg the is a restaurant and Cafe. You can sit inside and outside with nice views down into the valley.

Beautiful town with great hiking routes. Castle is nice and well maintained, but is a functioning hotel and youth camp, so many areas are private. I imagine starting as a guest is quite an experience though.

Beautiful old castle, but unfortunately, the money for a renovation. The castle itself is also a youth hostel.

It is a concentration camp were murdered in the many people. And this place is touted as a cozy atmosphere and beautiful castle. Anyone who lives here will get nightmares! How can you make it just a hostel?!

Absolutely fantastic place. Magnificent hilltop citadel in the midst of a charming medieval village with beautiful distant mountain views. ReallyRecommended for a daytrip if you're visiting Dresden.

Send old castle in Saxon Switzerland, you can climb to the very top with the Vespa. Beautiful views of the surroundings and the memorial for the victims of the concentration camp Hohnstein. Unfortunately, in Winter almost everything is closed.

Nice view over surrounding area aswell as good service, food and drink are better than normal. The more expensive rooms are nice, with shower and TV, towels provided.

I'm not going to go there with my class as a class trip, I personally had to face since but I hope this will be a Great fun to be the one we make at the end a disco party (✪㉨✪)!

Super Location with breathtaking views. The service staff is always friendly and helpful.

Ambience good, no Wi-Fi in the rooms and TV offer very modest. Breakfast is mediocre and dinner is very modest.

Hohnstein castle is a really nice place to vacation to. The environment is really stunning and there's really not much in the surrounding area you can visit. The Service is also incredibly nice and friendly. The food is very tasty. Castle Hohnstein, I can only recommend any further. 5 stars.

You should visit the Castle and book it is worth one or better several nights.

A stop for the tour is offered. Varied accommodation for groups of all kinds.

We were given subpar dinner and breakfast. Bedbugs and mold were found in several of the rooms. Was supposed to stay 3 nights, left after first. Cleaning crew denied there was a problem.

Very interesting Museum! Special delicious were the giant cream puffs, knew that even a small cheeky Sparrow who landed on our table again and again to get a piece of.

Have spent some great days. Breakfast was ample and varied.

Here we have a couple of very nice holidays can enjoy. Friendly to occurring staff. We will definitely come again.
