We were there for a nice weekend to the 30th birthday of my better half. Great location and great staff and the menus in the evening were extremely tasty. We will certainly come back again.

A brief introduction to my evaluation: we are a couple, beginning 30, self-employed in the design industry, with dog. We have chosen the hotel Astenrose because of its two-time award of food. So we were happy about the Christmas present of 2 nights in the Hotel Astenrose. Our expectations: Exclusive food in a 4 ⛤ ⛤ ⛤ ⛤ Hotel, which could not be more murderous. Unfortunately, the anticipation was there after the arrival. The rooms are simply equipped but very large! It is very clean! That's great! For the dog there was a bowl ready with water and delicious readings. Very attentive from the hotel! The bed was covered with satin bedding. Personally not my taste and I know from other hotels also so not. WLAN does not work in the room, only in the restaurant. Unfortunately we had no cell phone reception in the room, so we had to transfer data to the lobby every time. Now to the furnishing of the rooms: for a 4-star hotel The fridge was missing and therefore also the minibar, which is obligatory. The bar in the hotel is not open 24 hours. So late in the evening another glass of champagne or beer… No-way at Astenrose. No Kosmetilartikel like cotton swabs or cotton pads. The balcony door does not go on either. There is a wedge on the floor in front of the balcony door. On request that the door should be looked at, the owner replied that the door was not opened in Room 2. Strange, in the next room it goes.

Too expensive! When I go outside with a sign Locke: hikers and bikers welcome… then I expect in the inside also a suitable offer for hikers and bikers, who for a maximum of 1 ladle soup will certainly not spend 7 euros. Nothing to complain about, but price certainly nothing for a short stop for hikers and bikers!

We spent a wonderful time in the AstenRose. From the charming hosts to the beautiful rooms and the fantastic cuisine all in all, you will be able to enjoy the hospitality!

Very friendly, delicious cakes and warm welcome despite dirty dogs. Always happy to be back.

The following estimate is based on a business stay of two nights.
The reception on arrival was overshadowed by discussions about the settlement of the hotel bill. A cost-taking statement was made, but the fact that large companies have fixed booking dates and do not handle each individual invoice by hand and online banking did not seem to be known. Although this was quite easy to clarify, the tone of the owner was more than inappropriate. The entry of the identity ID has never happened to me and did not help to feel good.
The room was very clean and comfortable. A porcelain cat on the bed seemed a little cheesy to me, but it certainly contributed to the cozy ambience of the room. However, the technical equipment was disappointing. A very loud mini-fridge under the desk disturbs the sleep and the mini-TV with extremely bad loudspeakers does not correspond to the current state of the art. Wi-Fi is available but does not reach all rooms and requires registration on the side of a commercial provider. This can also be solved better today.
The first breakfast was an absolute disappointment. The owners were too busy with the 15x15m gravel field, which was used as a parking lot, to complain in advance about 7m long company vehicle, as it would hinder other guests (the house seemed completely empty except for an older couple who Car park housed a single vehicle) so for a tea for me no more time remained.

In this hotel everything is just right. Very friendly and warm staff, excellent service, clean and beautifully decorated rooms, very good food.
Spontaneously, we searched for a hotel in Winterberg and the random moved us in the Landhotel AstenRose. The coincidence meant it very very well with us. We have been received very warmly, check-in was very quick and the room were shown to us. Here I would like to express a special praise for the beautifully furnished rooms. It adjusts immediately a "feel good factor". As a whole, the Landhotel bribed with its attention to detail.
After the long journey, we were naturally hungry. The restaurant area had a wonderful atmosphere and impress us with a first-class Panoramaausssicht. The food was very fine and it was entered on individual requests. It has convinced the first-class and very large selection of wines and spirits. I lived nearby, I would come on a visit to the restaurant alone. The service was very friendly and extremely attentive. The restaurant impressed at all levels.
The rooms were very quiet and contributing to a good night's sleep. They were very clean and it was there everything what you need. Also from the room, we had a nice view.
The breakfast was extensive and left nothing to be desired.

We arrived in Cottbus and would like to thank this way again for the very warm hospitality. "" We can recommend the hotel without hesitation, because the motto "small, fine and familiar" applied in any case. We were lucky enough to live in the Tower Suite, the comfort and the views of the "Kahler Asten" were fantastic as well as also the catering.
In the morning you could enjoy the extensive breakfast buffet for the hikes in the sauerland region, and in the evening there was a delicious menu. At this point a special greeting to the super nice service.
The vacation in the Sauerland really liked us and we recovered just fine.

A great hotel and excellent restaurant in a quiet location, directly on the Rothaarsteig and below of the Kahler Asten.
