Highly recommended, mega tasty and fresh. All very friendly and strenuous. We will certainly be back!

My wife and I were 19. Wedding anniversary dinner there. In spite of all the Corona's actions, everything was perfect. The reception was friendly, we were escorted to the table, and we also received very quickly and the menu. What can I say, the food was excellent, meat, etc. From the Region, service attentive, nice, but not Intrusive. Conclusion: A completely successful evening. I can recommend the Restaurant with a clear Conscience only.

Das Waldhotel Schinkenwirt bietet eine hervorragende, regionale Küche an. Wir waren schon einige Male dort, und wir haben immer großartig gespeist. Beim ersten Mal waren mit insgesamt 7 Personen zum Mittagessen da, und es war wunderbar. Eine tolle Atmosphäre, ein super Service, und dazu noch hervorragendes Essen. Alles war frisch zubereitet, und einfach nur lecker. Ok, den Preis für das hauseigene Quellwasser fanden wir etwas hoch (4, 90 € für 1 Liter), zumal man beim Wasser keine Alternative hat, aber sonst war alles gut. Ein weiteres Mal haben wir mit einer größeren Gesellschaft den 70. Geburtstag meiner Mutter gefeiert. Da hatten wir ein Menü bestellt, was von der Qualität und vom Preis einfach super war. Der Service hat fantastisch gearbeitet, und keine Wünsche offen gelassen. Am vergangenen Sonntag waren wir zum Mittagessen da, und hatten 3 unterschiedliche Menüs: Schweinemedaillons, Schweinebraten und Lachsforelle. Es hat ganz toll geschmeckt, und werden bald wiederkommen! Ein toller Ort zum Wohlfühlen und lecker essen.

Good hotel in a beautiful location. Rooms are large, bright and contemporary. The food is really excellent. The staff is attentive and friendly. Also the prices are really cheap for what the hotel offers. Especially for a hiking holiday in the Sauerland, this hotel is highly recommended, as many really nice paths start practically on the doorstep. I had a very nice stay and can recommend the Waldhotel Schinkenwirt (the homemade ham is really very good) actually unconditionally.

We stayed with a group of 11 people in the restaurant tonight. Unfortunately, the evening was unround. The food was very good and perfect in its individual ingredients. We also enjoyed a very good Weinenpfehlung. Our group consisted of 5 children who had no understanding that the main course took 2 hours 15 minutes. A child of five got his food to the appetizer, which surprised us very much. When we complained the long wait, we would argue, "You are the last to come. " The final settlement was also not transparent, no evidence, no explanation. An apology for the really long wait from 3:30 pm for the whole menu we would have expected. Very disappointing as a recommendation giver.
