A really nice business hotel. Very wide selection of food for breakfast, something for everyone. Don't forget to use the 2 saunas and steam room in the fitness area!

Excellent hotel. Very pleasant staff, great Breakfast buffet and lots of snacks at the bar (I renamed it the "squirrel" bar) only a few metres away from exhibition centre and a 5 minute walk from the city centre. My photo is from my hotel window, looking down onto the Exhibition centre.

Kulanz is unfortunately a foreign word for this hotel. It is 0% possible to move a reservation to another date that could not be noticed from an unfortunate state (tire burger on the way to Essen). The room is charged in a hard-hitting double. Reference is made to the booking conditions. Thank you very much, I am aware of them! But goodness also means that you can look over them and reach the customer at least a bit. To all assistant colleagues: No recommendation for business bookings!

Has been a professional guest several times. Sometimes with and sometimes without an overnight stay. All in all, a super conference hotel the way you want it to be. Rooms clean and especially modern, as the whole house everything is rebuilt. Service as well as food and beverage selection impeccable. I really can't think of a negative point, except the arrival on days of the fair. But the hotel can't do anything about that …

Basically nice hotel with good food and friendly staff. It was difficult to extend the stay. This was not easily possible on the ground. I was actually asked to take care of extending my stay through the relevant portals. Furthermore, the fact that the gym was closed for maintenance only prompted the hotel management to have a drink voucher worth less than EUR 10, —. This despite being a guest for over a week. Good service looks different. What a pity!

Came in late at night, checking out the morning after. The room was very cool and quiet with a comfortable bed. Their breakfast was also pretty good.

Completely excessive prices as far as food and drinks are concerned. Should you want to relax on the super rooftop terrace, each run of a waiter costs €5€ running fee to the hotel's own bar. If you are sitting in the bar directly on the ground floor, the operation is more than poor. After 30min we left (although only 2 other guests were present). Wheelchair users were also thought of almost to the end, but only almost. You can drive up to the 7th floor and have to walk two very steep stairs up to the roof terrace, however the 2 steps out of the hotel to the terrace have a ramp, Also very smart.

Class hotel for conferences with plenty of space everywhere. It starts with spacious parking spaces in the underground garage, from where you have a great access to the elevators of the hotel. The room is very spacious and tastefully decorated. The breakfast leaves nothing to be desired – from freshly squeezed juice to all the possible stirring-or any other egg variations, which are prepared directly in the live-kittens of the chef.
The conference rooms in the EC are very generously designed. The complete exterior wall consists of a window front in the rooms, so that the rooms are very bright. The media facilities are very good, the catering service is simply excellent. The attentive staff made sure that there was plenty of drinks and food, the used dishes were immediately cleared, so that the conference rooms looked very tidy and appealing all the time, defying intensive use by just under One hundred participants of the meeting.

Perfect Congress Hotel. Friendly staff, brilliant breakfast, meeting room with daylight and smoothly functioning projection — and sound engineering. Steam bath really good hot. Highly recommended.

Great experience with the hotel made. Visited the hotel in the course of a company event. It is in the lobby as well as in the breakfast room, in the rooms and in the event rooms everything is clean, new and chic furnished. Extensive breakfast and lunch buffet as well as friendly and courteous staff (from reception, service personnel to social media team;-)
Another plus-/Servicepunkt is the free bottle of water in the minibar.
All in all a pleasant stay which I can recommend to anyone. Once I'm back in the business, I'll come back.

I was the first time for Sunday brunch in the hotel restaurant today.
It was just a dream. The hotel is beautifully decorated and modern. The restaurant of course also. Despite the size, the acoustics are very good and you hardly notice the other guests. The food is the absolute force. Nothing is missing and there is even a glass of champagne to greet you.
However, the excellent service is particularly noteworthy. I have never experienced such friendly staff. There was really no one brummelig. We have reserved directly for Mother's Day so that we can definitely get a table again.
Oh one was the yummy… these chocolate cakes.

My parents were at an idea of the "Honest Brothers" and decided to spend a night at the hotel. They were totally delighted with the room and also the staff. If you are visiting the city again, you would immediately stay in the hotel again.

There is nothing to fault, neither in the great rooms, which look really like on the pictures and are in a top condition, very clean and modern always happy guest here still with the nice courteous staff.

Wanted to order something at the bar and was immediately compmented with the words "dogs are not allowed here. " Honestly, this is the first hotel where I couldn't eat anything with my dwarf head. At the Martiott, Hilton, Park Inn — never have any problems. Most hotels at least have a compromise offer for guests with dogs.

My co-workers and I stayed here for the Essen Spiel 2017 board game convention, and it was probably the best hotel experience I've had in Germany.

My son works there. Hear from businessmen I know only good. They are delighted by the service, accommodation — room and cleanliness — food.

Terrible experience at the restaurant of this hotel. We came here during Spiel ‘17. We had decided to have breakfast and play a game. We asked if we could sit anywhere in the restaurant. We opted to take the table in the far back as to not disturb anyone. And the came the manager… she said: This is a restaurant. It is not a place to play games. So please eat and go play elsewhere. The restaurant was empty at the time. So we left, without eating or playing. The way and the tone she used made us feel like we were commiting a crime in the restaurant. It’s only a game and it’s Spiel after all. If you are not gonna accept gamers then what’s the point?

Very convenient to Messe. Comfortable beds, and full sized bath towels (been to many hotels with smallish towels.

Wir waren in einer Gruppe zum Frühstück dort. Super nettes Personal und echt reichhaltiges Frühstück mit frischen Waffeln und Omeletts etc. Wir werden sicher wieder kommen. Tipp: In der Tiefgarage des Hotels kostenlos parken (beim Personal melden für das Ticket)

Good but expensive fair hotel. Nice sauna but below average gym. Food and bar good to very good but priced at the upper limit.

This Hotel had nothing but also nothing good! If you would like to book a night, was fully booked, the Hotel weird way, but if you want to for the same date two nights, it was available! Pure Rip-Off. As always, I have then booked 2 nights and after one night's stay deb there canceled. The bedding what is unclean, and with hair and dust consumed. For a lot of money, you expect clean Laundry! Then my room was located directly at the construction site (noise is not pre-programmed) enough, they gave me a room across from Housekeeping. In the morning, every Minute the door is on and popping. So no sleep possible. Just to feel uncomfortable. Then the Wi-Fi was constantly interrupted. When checking out I pointed out the defects and said I want to compete in the second booked night, due to these shortcomings. To meet me with the price, offered me a Cocktail on the house (as a non-alcohol drinker) for the next time you visit. Hello? Who would like to come back again. Simply just outrageous. The second night paid 150€ for nothing. Any other Hotel would give the guest first, a clean room, a second, and then the price come. Never more.

Air conditioning not great and no bath, but other than that a fantastic experience. Location is quiet and close to plenty of good restaurants, staff very attentive and speak great English, rooms always very clean. One of the best breakfast selections too. If you're in Essen, you won't go far wrong here. Not cheap, but expect quality.

Huge, modern and functional spaces. It provides Wi-Fi, projectors for refreshments In addition to the buffet canteen.

I was basically, as always, very happy. In particular, the service at the bar and the really nice clean room and bath are to mention.
Unfortunately, the colleague at the reception on arrival was not quite so straightforward. At the time of check-in, I noticed her, that I would regularly for many years in the Atlantic. 2014 my employer and my home address has changed since but. Now, visiting the 3. Since then, one's always still, failed to change this contact information.
This was a private trip and I had booked privately a few days previously directly on your site. Was the answer to my question why the old employer on the Declaration is still noted, I had booked the room Yes about this company. Well, I'm no longer worked for the company since March 2014. Should a staff member at the reception a guest = customers something claiming that she definitely doesn't know.
Unhappy. I found little authentic sound. Maybe I am too critical. But I have been working for many years in senior position in the distribution and know that the customer pays my salary. And how do my employees with our customers.

This is a great hotel, interesting (somewhat IKEA-like) decor, modern updated bathroom with a fancy shower and heated towel rack, everything kept immaculately clean. There is a kettle and coffee/tea selection in the room, and a small fridge with minibar drinks, but you can fit something small in there if needed. There is a free bottle of water in it on your arrival. The reason I took a star off is that no one told me the breakfast (ridiculously priced at 24 euro per day, mind you! ) was included. I found it on my final bill after 3-night stay, but was told it cannot be taken out because this was a part of the room rate. For a bunch of shops, grocery stores, restaurants, wonderful cafes, etc. You just have to walk about 10 minutes to Rüttenscheider (or Rü) street. For US travelers — most small shops, cafes, and even pharmacies do not take credit cards, cash only! There is an ATM at a gas station, ~5 min walk from the hotel.

Very customer unfriendly! Had to cancel due to illness a booking; 90% cancellation fee! Outrageously and not to understand! A cancellation fee is okay, but not in the height!

Compared to other hotels I found this procedure to set the alignment of a meeting with only 20 people as 'something' too cumbersome.
But the meeting rooms, hotel rooms and meals in the restaurant / bar was very good; the staff very friendly.
At a dinner party 1 week later, aligned through the IGA-optic with about 40 people, the food was very good, only the ambiance reminded me rather an extremely well covered finishing as at a fine restaurant. Lacked the background music, the light at "full speed" and 1 lonely candle per 8 person table made little comfortable. It arrives with little usage significantly better.

It is a nice and safe place to live, just adjacent to Messe ground but quiet expensive considering the deliverables.
