Unfortunately no more stars because our room was a bit dirty and then something got old. Some fresh paint and new furniture would be great (desk totally scratched). Also stairwell unclean because everywhere carpet and not sucked. Staff friendly and helpful, breakfast rich and tasty. Hotel is centrally located between the old town and the port, all within walking distance.

Interesting and nice designed rooms. Clean and comfortable, and a good breakfast. The rooms are also in a silent area.

I was very pleased. My room was clean and quite well equipped. The furniture may not be to everyone's taste, but there is a case about that. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was rich and delicious. The location is quiet yet super central. You can walk very quickly in the old town. There is a tram very close by, which takes you directly to the main railway station. I like to book again.

Rooms are decorated in old soviet style. But it was okay. Bed was good. But the breakfast was super good!

Shower suspension defective. Water, very, very heavy. At 4 stars, I would have expected more. A sauna should also be available at 4 stars. Own parking, misrepresentation. Well, for one night, I'll take that up for money.

The first disenchantment came upon entering the room. That it was relatively small, OK with that I could live. But carpeting and the smell that hung in the room, at first I was pretty disgusted. I wanted a room with tiles. Information was that all rooms were carpeted. This information has later proved to be wrong.
During my week-long professional stay, I somehow got used to the smell. Despite airing, this unfortunately did not go away.
Another disenchantment followed on the second evening. The carpet… was not sucked! He was already dusty on my arrival and then that.
The cleanliness at this time was unfortunately not really capitalized by the cleaning power. Dental plaster glass, Brauseduschkoof and bathroom surfaces with lime residues. Dust everywhere. Only the bed was very clean.
In the whole room and in the hallways of the hotel, Ablatzer of old furniture furnishings. Everywhere Fingertat to the breakfast dispenser jam etc.
It may be a subjective assessment, because I can imagine that male guests will get along with such details.
Why still a relatively good 3-point rating? Extremely nice breakfast buffet with a variety of choices in a very spacious room.

Good location, 20 minutes walk to the old town. Staff friendly. Rooms have come a little in the years. Breakfast very good with rich selection. Bus and tram just outside the door.

Decent hotel. You have to take the tram (708) to get to the city centre. Breakfast not very rich. The staff are rather friendly.

Quiet, clean, spacious and friendly staff. Maybe a little bit old fashioned but no complaints. Breakfast was perfect!

The location of the hotel is very good, 12min. To the promenade and the city centre.
The hotel itself made a good external impression.
The rooms were not cleaned properly (ground with lint, dust on the pictures, hair in bed) The shower door can only be moved with great strength and courage, Ziehrleisten are broken, Türzage defective, the mini bar lacks the socket cover, all in all very Worn, used room.
A 4 star hotel not worthy.
The price is comparable to other hotels in Düsseldorf, very good.
Conclusion… sufficient for a short trippur foliage, with a lot of air upwards.

Disaster! Rooms have really come in the years and the beds do not look very inviting! Also checked out immediately after checking in…

The Wi-Fi is a bit slow, but everything else is ok for a 3 star hotel.

Very nice hotel with good value for money. Room was well appointed and clean. Breakfast room on the ground floor some cool atmosphere but Greichlich selection, also of fresh fruit. Staff helpful and friendly, on arrival there is a mulled wine to welcome you. Location very good, everything within walking distance.

Was there at the fair and outrageously expensive. Unfortunately, this is the case at these times. Would not like to book there even at normal prices. For a 4 star hotel very abgeranzt.

Good location between the old town and the harbour. The staff is very helpful and makes for a pleasant stay. Breakfast exceeded my expectations. The room was pleasantly large and clean. I like to come back.

You might be surprised by the décor, hard to define your style. It is clean, quiet rooms and with very good shower (flow and water temperature). The breakfast, buffet type, is very varied and of quality. Also, throughout the day there are free coffees and drinks available in Hall. Located 10 minutes from the historic centre and 30 minutes from the train station (15 min by tram)

On the whole we were very happy with our stay. However, not all lights worked, in the bathroom you could not turn the key and the O-juice from the minibar was over 6 months ago expired. It was all so clean and the staff was also very nice. The breakfast was also delicious.

Pleasant hotel, good value for rooms and quite a good range of foods for breakfast. En-suite was a little grubby and hairs in the shower basin. This was not so good. Apart from that no issues, as I say good value for money, staff were also friendly and helpful.

Hotel lives from the substance, badly in need of renovation, with nice service and catastrophic parking situation… Level fitter Room nothing for business travellers.

During Anuga exhibition you can't be very picky… In general OK hotel, good enough breakfast, OK coffee, but bathroom needs some updates.

Location is ok, 7 mins walking distance from Rhein Tower but rooms are quite small and bathrooms really small. Pay attention when you will checkin because if some festival in dusseldorf prices will jump from 70 EUR/night to almost 350 for the same room. You will hear what others are doing in the nearby rooms. Walls are really slim. You will everyone phone discutions.

The location to the customer in the port was perfect. My room was pleasantly large. Nearby sin nice pubs to the stay. In the morning there's a broadband breakfast.
The staff was always very helpful.

I was there with 2 other people after our City apartment in Cologne just before Gamescom 2015 baden went. Through the short book, we have a 3 room also cost-effective! The arrival by car is easy for people, the traffic are used (so not me), but there is a bus station and a tram station just around the corner! For the car is a Parking garage under the bridge recommended, but cheap in the vicinity of the STATION! In front of the Hotel, you may stop for loading and unloading. This way I could easily check in, while my escort to the Parking garage could drive. I was very fast and friendly welcome and immediately for Frückstück and free W-Lan works. Our 3 rooms was very large, a bit dark, but in the heat the better. There was a kettle, a Hairdryer, and a Radio and a television. The beds were comfortable, tumbled maybe a bit, but was not bad. The bathroom was cleaned and layers of towels, soap, toilet paper, and body lotion (every day). Unfortunately, we were allowed a few days later to find that our window is not on tilt, but only in the curtains festhing. To say it was for someone immediately organized. I recommend the Hotel, by the way, a NIGHT (22-06) introduce! You can indeed times in the Evening, like to sit together, laugh and talk, but the fact that all of the Windows to the patio, you may, unfortunately, until deep in the night, rude and loud Mitbesuchern listen. Here could be the night to introduce and also to point out.

I had a beautifull stay, the staff was very friendly and the location of the hotel is good. The room was clean and well equipped. Ask for a room facing the back, they are a little more quiet, but also the front rooms are ok, there is not much traffic on the street. Breakfast was nice, good selection of food.

We stayed there the second time and it was again a very pleasant stay. They made a breakfast make over with new coffe mashine, good value for money Staff still friendly and helpful, room clean and quiet always worth coming back.

Have a weekend in Düsseldorf is booked, I was the Kastens Hotel recommended and I have made the right choice. That in the front Desk was very accommodating and I also like my rooms booked. The location is just to recommand you is in 5 minutes in the old town and on the Kö. The Breakfast could not be better, it was abundant there, of salmon, cold meats, scrambled eggs & S. W. Come back.

I was with my wife and my small son in the Hotel box. The Hotel is Centrally located near the old town and also the Kö is not far. To foot one can do everything very well. Positive was at the Hotel the friendly staff at the us without demand a cot offered. The Hotel is bright and Modern. The rooms are clean. There is W — Lan and TV with all major channels. The Breakfast is very good. We would love to come back.

+ The Hotel is bright and individually decorated, the location between the Kö, the media harbour and the old town is well, as spontaneously can be decided where and what is being done, to me it has the way to the old town done at the Maxplatz over, there is also an art-house cinema, the Highlight is the proximity to the Apollo theatre in the media harbour, 5 minutes walk. — Parking in the vicinity (public), for the first Time was the directions can be a little tricky. The Breakfast room is bright and friendly, but without a view, so that the day is very quiet started with reading the newspaper, and this at a really abwechsungsreichen buffet.

We stayed at the Kastens Hotel while we were doing a round trip through Europe. It was a very pleasant stay, with nice and helpfull staff. The room we had was quiet, facing the courtyard of the Hotel. The size was good and well equipped. We have used the free Wifi in the room and the free coffee and tea facilities in the Lobby. The breakfast was outstanding with lots of choice. Fresh fruits, eggs, Bacon, muesli etc. We can really recommend this Hotel, for a short as well as a long stay. We will return on our next trip.
