Small hotel in a small almost back alley like street, almost 800meters from the railway station. There was no lift, difficult to get suitcases up as there was a door wedged open leading onto a roof?. The room was not too bad in size but it was very hot. No Airconditioner, and it was impossible to open both the windows, we could only open one about 10cms. We had to do some furniture re-arranging just to be able to close the curtains. Spotty Wifi only at the reception and it would be turned off overnight. The attached restaurant served breakfast buffet only. No lunch or dinner.

Staff at the front desk were not friendly but the breakfast staff were very nice. Besides the breakfast was really varied there was something for everyone.
At room level it's quite small I'd say it's enough for one or two days. There is everything in one room the sink is very close to the bed and the shower also there is no carpet near the shower.
I was pretty disappointed with that side all stuck in a room.

The hotel is falling apart. The heating runs in the summer and does not run out. The carpet in the small room is only residual waste. Tv did not work, internet only three meters next to the reception, so if you are lucky never. Reception heillos overwhelmed and understaffed. But the staff on the ground are brave. Breakfast is okay if you don't let the stains on the tablecloths deter you. Here, the location is exploited to generate cash before everything falls apart and the mold in the bathroom gains the upper hand. For a night to have a roof over your head, but for more it's an imposition for this price.

Of the price you can't complain. The breakfast was very good. The room, however, was very small and the Wi-Fi did not take.

Hotel is a purest Disaster. They have made a 3 Bed room Out of a 2 Bed room. The Bathroom is vieeeeeel too small and then also for 3 People (Girls). Among Other things, there is mold on the Shower tap! Hotel doesn't get a Star from us. We are looking forward to Breakfast tomorrow morning.

Very small rooms and also the furniture and furnishings were partially broken or already very old. Looks run down. Bath too small. Good location and staying overnight is enough.

Good breakfast. Great woman who runs the breakfast area. Communication difficulties with the reception. There is no one at night, if you have a problem you keep it until 6.00di. Morning of the following day. Very good area.

Very outdated hotel and uncomfortable mattress, felt unclean with cracks in walls (breeding ground for bed bugs) and strange stains on the carpet. I moved out after one night even tho I didn't get my money back.

The hotel has a great location at the center of the city, price is cheap. However rooms are tiny and definitely in need of renovation.

Wi-Fi is very poor. Breakfast average. Rooms below average. Staff are very polite and nice.

Rooms and especially restrooms are very small. No elevator! Furniture is from 60's. Good thing is breakfast included in the price.

The hotel glory days are behind it but we had a pleasant stay. The staff in friendly and speaks English. The rooms are rather small and a double bed consists of 2x90cm beds next to each other. Breakfast is nice.

The price is certainly favorable for the location but completely herruntergelebte cramped rooms. Numerous defects and damage to the equipment in rooms and bathrooms. Moderately clean. Staff friendly but overtaxed. Booking confirmation only after repeated request… Conclusion: not particularly… we will not book again in the ARDE.

Small room for 3 people, but clean. Staff not overly friendly, but excellent breakfast buffet and not that expensive.

I was there more often because it is very convenient for the central location (on the Ruhr Area wide road) and does not cost much. Attention: At the fair it will be considerably more expensive — but this is at all hotels in Cologne so… + + Good breakfast offer + quiet nights despite central location (O. K. A few drunk tourists and other drunks are there before the hotel…)
— Wi-Fi connection is not available in all rooms + + well by subway (appeal Courtyard, 5 (! ) Lines).
+ + walking distance from the main station with light luggage + + friendly, helpful staff.
— The bar is not open for long.

A very old place, rooms rather small, atrocious Wi-Fi, fairly good breakfast. Central location so easy to get to and easy to find restaurants and such like. Overall very decent for overnight stays, but I'd find somewhere nicer for longer stays.

Central but poor services.

Bad. Poor hygiene, reception closed in the evening, WI-Fi bad, small room and poorly furnished, heavy physical keys to take with you due to the closing of the reception, not comfortable location. In case of events in Cologne, as in my case, prices arrive at exorbitant figures.

Only the location was good. EZ is ung. 5 sqm. Demolished and uncomfortable. Fright for 1 night. You cannot hold out anymore. Very out of date.

Completely off it all came… Unpleasant odor throughout the House … was breakfast goes I will let me surprise tomorrow.

I must say it drives each U train and 2 min walk are the personal supper nice and spend on people who do not like much money would that be optimally.

The staff was committed Hotelkatastrophe somehow still save. Breakfast was in order. State of the rooms is terrible. Broken furniture and electrical installation. Doors are difficult to see and to go. Very dirty (In the Bad fecal matter on the walls) In the Breakfast room to be defective Fussbodenfliesen with carpets covered. Nachkriegsflair. Never go back to this Hotel. Do yourself a Favor and book somewhere else.

Quite a musty smell in the entire Hotel. The coronation was then the bathroom, the really evil after mold has smelled. The staff was also quite unfriendly. Once and never again.

Perfect location for a stroll around town. Small but clean rooms. Bathroom was clean and it did not smell after mold. Good Breakfast. Parking garage right next door, EUR 10 per day. Oh Yes. Very friendly, helpful staff.

If you're looking for an outdated and unhygienic hotel, with seriously unfriendly personnel, than this place is definitely for you! We discovered a serious blood stain on the bottom of our matrass. The door frame of the bathroom was broken. The lower wooden frames inside the bathroom were moldy, probably because of the unhandy shower-curtains, that eventually do nothing to keep the water from spraying all over the place. And the air-ventilation in the bathroom is a joke I think. Also, the moment we walked in, we tried to click on the light, but nothing happened. After a small adventure with our phone-flashlights, we discovered the light bulb wasn't turned in all the way. But still it made me question when the last time that room was prepared/dusted/cleaned. Yes, it does lie in the middle of the town, but that's about all of the good things I can say about the hotel. The staff is super unfriendly as well. When I asked for coffee I got a very ironic "yes master, right away". When we then decided to move to a different table, we wanted to take our unused cutlery to our new table. But the woman said something about leaving it where it was, at which time another woman came to the table and just dropped the cutlery she was going to bring to our table and bolted off angrily. This is NOT how I wish to start my sunday morning on vacation. In the end, the sandwiches tasted 2 days old. At that point I was just happy the ham hadn't gone bad and the cheese wasn't moldy.

Great dirty carpet, tiny rooms, not soundproof, musty smell, free Wi — Fi. Only positive point: the location and one of the two people responsible for the home (one that speaks English). Avoid.

Biting Schimmelgeruch in the bathroom. Absolutely arrogant hotel owner who wanted to know nothing. Never again.
