Price performance in my opinion very good. Nice owners/employees, rooms practical and clean, breakfast at the price almost more than you can expect.

Already old, room old and full of spider webs. Pipe TV and the rest not up-to-date. Rain accumulates on the balcony without running off.
Breakfast was relatively small but still everything was there, still the best at the hotel. But the house dog has lost absolutely nothing in the breakfast room!
The first arriving person of a large group (10+) dirket to demand advance payment for the tourist tax for ALL is not possible.

Room clean and functional. Otherwise not much to offer. Baked buns for breakfast is not contemporary. Feuchtigkeitsfecken.

Small fine hotel on the Bode. It's almost famillier. The owners are very hospitable. Breakfast is not a good choice. Rich and delicious. Even in winter without snow you can do a lot of business. Destinations such as Wernigerode, Witch Dance, Ross Trappe and more. Are worth seeing.

My wife, Bärbel, and I have always been quite keen to experiment when it came to holiday planning. So this time, too.
A hotel in the heart of the Harz. And in the midst of the "hard harcerers" a Dutchman! Do you think that will go well? The reviews on the internet did not bode well. Yet: "No risk, no fun! " The booking was perfect and after about three hours over the country road we turned into Treseburg.
The facade actually left something to be desired, and our mistrust seemed vindicated. Despite all the "negative evaluators" — we were warmly received and the furnishing of the reception alone compensated us for our mistrust. Our room was more than appropriate to a "Three Star Hotel. " Of course, anyone looking for the hair in the soup will find something. After all, the house is one hundred and fifty years old.
So: Sist down all claims! The Luppbode does not want to become a "Four Star Hotel"! The required demands cannot and do not want to be made under the current circumstances! Because the entire hotel, with the exception of a few excellent temporary staff (thick hug to Jule and Regina), is run by the managing director Dolf and his family and/or friends or girlfriends! Why are you going to ask? Because no one is willing to accept the starvation wages and miserable working hours in gastronomy. Point!

We arrived after a very long drive from the UK via Dusseldorf for a car festival at Pullman City Harz and we were given a wonderfully warm welcome by Dolf and his staff. We arrived late and the chef although had stopped serving by then made us a beautifully presented cold platter. All our party have really enjoyed our 3 day stay and we had some great evenings and more than a few beers chatting with Rolf who is a great character. The food is also very good and reasonably priced.

The restaurant of the hotel "to the Luppbode" is not recommended. We were on Sunday, the 13.09.2015 with a friendly family to four people, and four Golden Retrievers of the American line of work in the bode Gorge hike. So we wanted to have in the beer garden of the hotel, which advertises itself as "dog-friendly" lunch. After a long and exciting hike in the beautiful bodetal Valley, our dogs were also a little excited of course. We made a bill of €80 and also not stingy at the tip.
