The Circus Hostel Hostel

I stayed in the hostel for 3 nights. It was a perfect experience: the property is located in a central location, a few steps from tram, bus and metro. I stayed in the room by 8 beds. Although small, the beds are placed in a way that is hardly intrusive and the cabinet positioned next to the headboard of the bed is arranged a usb charging and acts as a support for any cards, phones etc, and The bathrooms are quite small, the showers are unisex, while the toilet is divided by gender. The staff is helpful and polite. The room already provides for the presence of towels, soap: it is necessary to take the loan from the transposed at a cost of 1€, the same for hair dryer.

The staffs are really friendly.

The hostel was clean and user friendly. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. The location was PERFECT! I couldn't expect a better experience. I highly recommend this hostel.

Perfectly clean, fantastic vibe and great amenities. We stayed here 2 nights in a 10-bed room. Never had to wait for the shower or toilets which were clean at all times. Everyone was polite and respectful. You get a free sample of their house-brewed beer which was delicious, and the bar, lounge and cafe are chill and sociable areas. Breakfast was only €2.50-3 (or more for buffet) and really good. The location is mint amongst lots of bars and restaurants and train/tram services are literally right outside the door. The staff were very helpful and happy. I cannot recommend this place enough! My only complaint would be the traffic noise during the night — ambulances and cars honking horns.

I spent a month here and I can't recommend this place enough! Clean, secure, full of friendly and accommodating staff. Make sure to check out the hostel bar and the Alternative Walking Tour, as well as karaoke on Thursday nights! The patio is also a fantastic place at night to hang out and meet new people. My only complaint is that to get to the staircase, you have to go through the elevator. Sort of defeats the purpose, eh?

Not surprised. The rooms were spacious and tidy. Everything was very clean. The bar is cool. The wheat beer is great. Good location. Few people in winter. The only thing I did not like: no plugs in the bathrooms.

Highly recommend this hostel. It has a beautiful out front patio, and you can sit and do some people watching in Berlin for as long as you like! The rooms are large and have huge windows, and everyone in my room was extremely kind. Also, the showers were great and the reception was very helpful, especially trying to foster a sense of community! Must stay in Berlin!

One of the best hostels I've stayed at in Europe. Clean rooms, bathrooms, hallways. Modern and fresh decorations. Spacious rooms as compared to other hostels. Almost sound-proofing windows for the lively Rosenthaler Platz neighborhood. Lower level houses a microbrewery, featuring its own Circus Beer, and a cozy bar. Convenient location and 1-minute walks to M and U lines. Only wishes were if they had body wash and shampoo dispensers in shower rooms.

Treatment fantastic staff and very good location.

Location of the Hostel excellent, very central and still served by the lines M1 and U8 that go everywhere. The room is not amazing but it is a hostel with a great reception and young space integrated, very comfortable, with beer spiner next door. The Bathrooms are Also good, although they are common to other rooms. I found Myself well in these 5 days.

A great hostel with clean and big rooms, super nice staff and a great ambiance.
The choice at breakfast is not all too big, but for a hostel is quite sufficient. The quality of the breakfast is very good.
Those who like to have a drink in the evening, but don't want to go too far away, can go to the hostel's own bar, with a good selection of drinks and good prices.

The Hostel and the Hostel bar are really cool. Runs Appartements and a Hotel as well. Loved the tiny David Hasselhoff museum. Didn't like the beer.

Very clean and comfortable. You can have breakfast, drink coffee and even treat yourself to brewed beer on the spot.

Stayed in a 10 bed dorm. The hostel was able to set up a good atmosphere for everyone. Staff there were nice and helpful. The all you can eat breakfast could have been a bit better. The location was good can easily walk to many of Berlin's attractions, it also has good food options near by. The brewery has a great atmosphere and a good selections of drinks.

Very good location. Nice beds, good facilities and a nice bar. Street outside can be loud but will become quiet after 11 PM so don't worry about that. The staff is very friendly, the breakfast is tasty and is cheap (especially for Berlin) and includes a free drink. This place is probably a good choice when you want to have a low-price stay — but of good value.

Great hostel to stay at if you're visiting Berlin. The staff was helpful and willing to answer any questions I had. The coffee shop had great drinks and a delicious breakfast buffet for 5 Euro if I remember correctly. The taproom/bar in the basement is a ton of fun and the bartender when I was there was incredible. The 4 bed room I stayed in was clean, had enough room for my bags, had outlets, and a view of the street outside. The showers were warm and I had no complaints.

Was a amazing experience! Staff really nice, clean and is close to the most important historical spots. They don't include breakfast but you can buy it for 5e (more cheaper than in the street). they don't have kitchen!

Hostel very friendly and well located with Metro, tram and buses at the very foot of the hostel. I recommend.

Great hostel that is super fun, their 8-10 bed options are a little weird however, your head faces the door which for some reason I don't like and the entire floor shores 2 bathrooms and 2 showers. The showers are pretty lame and don't compare to the Scandinavian countries. But the location is FANTASTIC and the bar can get pretty fun.

Great location, nice rooms and super friendly staff!

The lobby is very homey, and the shared rooms and bathrooms seem clean and tidy. We had a large corner room which help make for a great stay. Staff was very friendly and helpful, and also gave us vouchers for free breakfast and drinks as we were staying over Christmas. Would love to stay with the Circus again.

Good value for money. Rooms were pretty nice. A bit noisy if facing the main road. And some times smells of cigarettes if windows are open. Their own brewed beer is pretty good.

Very clean, which is the first thing I look for in a hostel. Location is great, staff are very friendly and helpful. Also, they have really good walking tours starting from the hostel.

Had some friends come to Berlin they stayed here. Prices were good. Place was super clean and nice. Rooms were bright and well made. Whole place had a fun and relaxed atmosphere. Also right on the U8 so you can get everywhere quick.

This hostel is in an excellent location, with lots of bars and restaurants within a stones throw. It's also only a 20 minute walk from most of the museums. However be aware that as the area is very lively, there is a lot of noise at night. Also, the women's toilets are currently broken on at least two floors on one side of the building meaning there are only two per floor and they are right at the other end.

Had a great stay here, very clean and nice hostel right in near the centre with lots about. Lots of solo travellers like myself so great for making friends! Staff all very friendly and a good laugh. Really enjoyed my stay!

Rooms are comfortable and modern. Good location: just a few steps away, there are connections to all public transport. You reach the center in 10 minutes. The place full of bars and restaurants.

The hostel is very good, the staff at the front desk is very friendly and willing to help you at all. The location is very good and the cleanliness of the place is appropriate. In the cafe of the hostel, you can get a good buffet breakfast for 5 euros, a very good option to save money and enjoy a great holiday in berlin.

We went for drinks in the hostel bar, and later for lunch in the attached cafe Katz and Maus. It's a nice place with a good atmosphere and friendly staff. The outdoor seating area can get very busy as it's popular with the younger crowd. The bar has their own micro brewery where they brew their own Circus Beer, and they make their own gin. It's located on a lively street with many nice restaurants, and a park nearby that's very popular when it's sunny.

Good, clean rooms and clean bathrooms. The front desk staff is very helpful and understanding. They have a nice brewery, a cute cafe, and an outdoor seating area, which is great for meeting new travelers. Public transit is near by and the hostel is pretty centrally located. The only downside is that it can get noisy at night with the tram right outside.

Great place for the price! Walkable/short tram to all the sights you want to see in Berlin. Decently clean, and very creative and bright decor. The atmosphere is friendly and open — perfect for those looking to meet new people (mostly those in their young 20s during my stay in June).

Great hostel! Clean, spacious and the location is one of the best in Berlin. It is so well connected to the rest of the city! This is definitely one of the best hostels I've ever stayed in. Other plus points are underground parking and the bar where they serve their home made gin.

My favourite hostel. Near the train, comfy beds. However, the best part is the modern feel. Really well designed interior and good smart card security. The Wi-Fi was also very fast. The view of the crossroad was impressive too. I can write so many amazing things for a very long time.

Friendly staff, good beer and good coffee and a great Wi-Fi connection here. The bar area has a great selection of books (many on Berlin) to peruse while sitting in the bar/ lounge area. I saw a very good jazz trio on a Sunday nite, which I hear is hosted weekly.

This is a new property. I liked the location (great), near the entertainment. The room was too small for my habits, there was no closet, no minibar, shower was very spacious.
Breakfast was a little varied, these bio products.
I expected better.

Visiting Poland before the trip, I stayed for 3 nights in Berlin alone, I can't find a better place to stay. This is an excellent location, the first day I walked around, and next day use the subway. Both are excellent, staff very friendly, my questions are very eager to help. Breakfast was good, especially the homemade muesli. Room is clean, the bed was comfortable. I'm sure I'll come to this hotel again.

Very friendly, very clean well priced. Good location for tourism, 1hr+ walk from clubbing district but very good public transport location so trams every 20 mins throughout the night. Very friendly and varied crowd with large rooms. Will be coming again.

The hotel is great, location great, the door's various transport networks. The hotel environment is very good, staff really friendly pleasant, they were very help. Hotel around the area with lots of places to eat and drink, but the hotel bar, not good. Would strongly recommend this.

Nice upgrade compared to the Circus Hostel.

Location is great, just quiet enough to not be annoying, but perfectly situated for transport. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable, and while we didn't take advantage of it, they have lots of activities happening for guests. Their microbrewery is great, the beer tastes amazing if not a bit expensive. We stayed in an apartment, which was comfortable, classy and reasonably affordable. The one odd thing was the lack of a washing up sponge and soap, although there was a dish washer. This is the second time I've stayed at the circus hostel, and if I never return to Berlin I'll be coming back here.

This hotel really astonished me. The building by itself seems to be a redesigned normal Berlin apartment building, but they designed the rooms very nice and you clearly see that they put a lot of attention even to the smallest detail. Don't expect a posh hotel but one where the costumer is the highest priority. Extremely nice stuff, great breakfast choices and even a very different and at the same time so relaxing designed bar/restaurant area. We really enjoyed our stay here and would not hesitate to come back again. Oh, I almost forgot… The location is really good to to discover the life of Berlin.

It was our first time in berlin We. Didnot know where to stay after 3 hours of walking we found the hostel… Okay let me start by saying by far it is the best hostel I stayed in better than a hotel! Rooms are clean bathrooms are good Reception guys they are so cool! We stayed for 8 nights for best prices good location close to everything! The bad news was for our group that we met there we had to move everynight from that little garden outside because they close it at 11! Thank u for everything.

Amazing hostel. Just finished up a Eurotrip and I can honestly say that this was the best one. It had an incredibly friendly atmosphere, 80c beer across the road, public transport literally at the front door and a really friendly & strong community vibe. Beds were comfy, you have a private locker above your bed & bathroom/shower facilities were ample. The only thing I can mention, which was kinda hilarious was that someone took a shit in the shower. Apart from that it was perfect. That being said, someone shitting in the shower was one of the most memorable experiences of my Eurotrip. I can't recommend this place enough. You'll make some great mates, have a few cheap bevvies & make some amazing memories. Another admirable mention is the reception staff. They are total bros and more than willing to help you out. The Circus Hostel is a solid 10/10. I can't wait to visit Berlin again & I'll most definitely stay there again.

Quite nice but at incredible prices. And the Breakfast is for the price a bad joke. As you get elsewhere, better selection and paid for half of it.

Very enjoyable! Loved the room. First time I stayed at a place that offered an all organic breakfast and soy milk as an alternative. Yummy :-)

— The pillow was very uncomfortable (hard), so I prefered to sleep without it. — One window had a defect (room 212), so one was hearing the noise from the street (cars, buses, tram) more loudly than necessary at night. The service guy tried to fix it the second day, but could not fix it entirely. Of course, I do not know whether the problem still exists. — On the website, the locker was said to be free of charge. However it would have been necessary to use a padlock (either bring your own one or buy one for 5 EUR). + I could leave my bags in the luggage room even after having checked out. This was quite helpful, as the latest checkout time is 12:00 but my bus from Berlin back home was leaving just in the evening. + The bathroom was ok + The location is very central. + The prices are ok (compared to other hostels) All in all, I can recommend the Circus Hostel and will probably come back the next time I will be at Berlin.

A clean, modern hostel well-located in Mitte next to an U-Bahn station. Optional buffet breakfast also good.

This is a great place with an nice atmosphere. It's got the U-bahn and tram just outside. Also easy to visit by car and with good parking facilities. The hostel has nice rooms with free bed sheets. It's shared toilets and bath (remember towels), but both are modern and clean. Great breakfast. The only negative about the hostel, must be the noise from doors closing from other rooms. It's very loud, and make it hard to sleep. Else, this is a place I would return to. Friendly and young staff from many nationalities. Recommended.

Hostel-very central, modern, ideal to meet people. The biggest drawback is that the lockers are dwarfs, they are next to the bed, and you get it just right, a netbook, and 4 things of value, the suitcase or backpack you have k to leave the side of the bed. It has No kitchen or communal room to eat. The employees are good people, probably when to pass 2 0 3 nights as much, but not.

The Hostel is quite ok, however the Methden of the Manager is questionable, because of this of an Evening reception to our room came, and the boxes taken away, because we're supposed to loud music would have heard and also our Alkoholvorrat taken.

Despite not being exactly central is located in an area with a lot of life both day and night, to start with the pub in the hostel in which we spend great moments, and also just in front of a restaurant multietnico that at greatly reduced prices tea is always given to eat, it seems to be 24 hours. Anyway you have a metro stop at the door and in two seasons these in Alexander Platz. The facilities are new, seems newly renovated and very well maintained and the cleanliness is impeccable for all parties. The security is also excellent, three security filters before you find yourself in your room. The staff is very nice, in addition to part of the is a latino, you want not, you can get it any trouble idiomatic.
