Was just generally great in all aspects. Friendly staff, friendly open-minded guests willing to team up for a night out or even some casual beers at the hostel. Would recommend 110%.

Terrible experience with customer service. I needed help to know what to do with my early check out and the girl in the front desk just told me she works there but she wasn’t in working hours and it was my fault. If you are there, you should just help the customer. Also when I arrived, no one told me what to do and she told me it was my fault.

Big and spacious rooms with decent lockers. Fan in the room to help you against the summer heat. Location is great I think. Sure, a bit outside of the mainstream touristy areas but those are kinda meh anyways I think. Just a couple of blocks away you will find vibrant nightlife, plenty of restaurants and bars, grocery stores, and so on. Mauerpark is like a ten minute walk away. Metro station is like five minutes away and so is the tram. You will need a public transport card if you're in Berlin since it's such a big city. The kitchen is great, the lounge was really sweet but the garden was even more awesome. Just a shame there were so many wasps but I understand there's not much to do about it since the bloody wasps are all over Europe right now.

Everything in this hostel is modelled to consider and care for the guests. I have never stayed somewhere where I have felt more welcomed by staff and guests alike. I cannot recommend EastSeven highly enough! The rooms are spacious, the beds are comfortable, and the bathrooms are incredibly well maintained— they are cleaned twice per day! The spacious garden has ample seating and the kitchen is well-equipped with everything you need, including labels for your food. There is a charging station with every type of charger, hammocks and a foosball table outside, and during happy hour everyday beers are only €1.50! EastSeven is a social hostel where it’s easy to talk and hang out with people. I went out three of my five nights with other guests and had an amazing time. Don’t be put off if you’re looking to stay somewhere to relax or have down time though— I found it easy to have time alone in my room and the garden. This hostel is worth every euro and I will be staying here again during my next visit.

Staff was great! Very friendly and helpful. The location is nice too right near the metro and busses.

Overall the best hostel I've been to so far, anywhere. Didn't expect much but it turns out they have everything you could possibly need and more, even a guitar they lend to guests. This is the place to go, I hope I get the opportunity to stay here again.

Well comfortable the bad thing is the kitchen and bathrooms.

Awesome vibe here — definitely not a big party hostel but still very social and in a great location. Staff are super friendly and rooms/bathrooms are super clean and comfortable. Just around the corner from U-Bahn Station so it's easy to get wherever you want to go. You are given a wristband at check-in that also gets you discounts at a few local eateries. Would definitely stay here again.

Best hostel I've ever been to atmosphere wise. The design is not flashy but works well, everything is well explained, a lot of details have been setup so people interact with each other if they want to. Quite a lot is made so you discover the city in a good atmosphere and the location is perfect.

Awesome experience at the hostel. Barbecue, happy hour with cheap beer, nice reception and cleaner people. Also free food.

I booked this hostel for 2 Nights and its honestly one of the best hostels ive been to in my entire life. There is a great kitchen for cooking, the beds are great, usually a bit older of a crowd. But great for meeting people of all ages. The owner even was nice enough to check me in an hour early since there was an opening. Super professional service. Even had a cool book in the lobby with nearly every club in Berlin in it. Great hostel.

Recommendable and clean hostel with an international flair, shopping and tram within walking distance.

Coolw cinnamon, nice staff, showers a bit dirty, otherwise all good.

First of all, two tiny criticisms: On the one hand, the showers are not so the hit (maybe the shower heads would have to be uncalcified again …) and on the other hand, the air in the wet rooms is quite stuffy and you can't open the windows.
Otherwise a great hostel experience friendly and fun team, everything really clean and if you look for it, you will actually always find social hustle and bustle in the lounge or lobby.

We were here with the whole family including child and baby. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The rooms are clean and have everything you need. However, the sanitary facilities should be highlighted. Despite communal swimming pool, it was always and at all times very clean. Top Hostel in a central location.

Friendly staff, comfortable rooms with heating, clean bathrooms. The kitchen and courtyard are both great and it's located very close to a train station and cool restaurants and bars.

One of the best hostel I ever been! A big room for 4 people with a very big bathroom inside! Very clean! There is also an external bathroom for each floor! Great people and a fantastic position! Very near to Alexanderplatz!

Top location, Sauber, nice staff, fair prices.

Overall: Fun place to stay. Very social. Great location. Clean facilities (private bathroom in each room! ). Price on par with other hostels in Berlin. Service: 2/5. Sometimes the desk people would be too busy socializing to actually do their jobs. Also the desk closes at midnight, so you can't pick up your luggage late/early in the morning (was an issue for me because I had a very, very early train to catch). Towel rental was cheap (1 euro). Atmosphere: 5/5. I didn't hang out at the hostel too much, but it seems like a pretty social place with lots of activity going on. Location: 5/5. Short walk from train station! Good amount of cafes/restaurants in the area.

Good accommodations in an excellent location in East Berlin for a reasonable price. Friendly staff that gave good tips about interesting destinations. It is a hostel so don't expect more than a room with a bed.

My friend and I got the private two bed for a bargain. The front desk person was quite helpful and we had no issues! Clean rooms and bathrooms for a great price.

Awesome hostel! Staff is very helpful yet not intrusive, rooms are exceptionally big, and best of all the bathrooms are the cleanest I've ever seen in a hostel. Located right next to the subway as well. Would definitely stay here again :)

I've stayed at the hostel for a week with 2 friends, and we kept the room clean. The staff was nice and helpful, but the bathroom was usually not clean. The room was very small and there was no room for our clothes except for a small closet. The heating didn't work. The worst thing though was that when we got back home, I received an email that we broke a fire escape sign or picture, and stole it. Not only we didn't do that, we also cleaned after us and the room was 100% fine. I tried to clear things up and I was told everything was okay, but today I was charged about 20 euros. My friend saw the manager and talked to him, and later told us that he seemed to dislike Israelis, so that might have been the reason. Anyways, I strongly recommend avoiding the EastSeven hostel.

Really enjoyed the hostel. The staff was super helpful, the place is clean and very well located. Underground stations less than 10 minutes away. Area has good coffee shops and the hostel offers breakfast every morning for a small fee. I'd stay here again.

This hostel is wonderful! It was a two minute walk from the train station and we are warmly greeted at the front desk. The rooms are wonderful. The beds are so comfortable and it has a very Cottage like field. At the outdoor area is covered in green ivy in there's a cute little fire pit and seating area. Lots of restaurants are very close by and lots of cool shopping. Also this place is very clean which I found to be very important when travelling.

One of the best hostels I have stayed in, and by far the cleanest! Stayed in a top floor double with my girlfriend and felt like I was in a private hotel. Room bins emptied and bathrooms cleaned daily, with not too many people to a bathroom. The whole hostel was clean and nothing was broken or dilapidated (as can so often be the case with hostels). The kitchen has excellent facilities, the living room is spacious, and the back garden is gorgeous! Everyone working there seemed to enjoy their jobs, and we felt very much at home. If you want somewhere to socialise and a comfortable retreat after exploring the insanity of Berlin, I can't recommend this place enough.

Clean, cosy, friendly and with all the amenities you need. Nearby the underground and so easy access to city centre. 2 minute walk away from Lidl and delicious restaurants so dinner is sorted no matter what you fancy. Staff are helpful and can help you get onto tours and pub crawls each day so there is always lots to do! Would definitely stay again.

Great hostel! Especially for first timers. Stayed there as a solo female traveler for my first hostel experience. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The place is very clean and organized. The coffee is cheap and good. Great location, next to public transit and tons of restaurants and shopping. All of my belongings were perfectly safe and it was easy to meet other travelers. My only advice is to bring ear plugs since other guests can be noisey at night.

This was the best hostel experience I've ever had. Everything is clean, the place well located but still quiet, the garden is adorable and well organised, the front desk people are helpful as hell. It felt like a home. The breakfast is good and cheap, you wouldn't ask for more! Please note that there's no elevator and that the blinds are quite cheer, so you can't oversleep too much when it's sunny outside!

Location is fantastic as it is close to the station and is around the corner to a street of restaurants. Facilities within the hostel are great but there is no lift so keep that in mind when booking. The staff there are like a family and make sure you have the best stay you could. I would defintely come back!

This is probably my favorite hostel ever! The atmosphere was amazing. It's not very big, so everyone gets to know each other pretty fast. Everyone generally meets in the common room in the evening and hangs out, and then goes bar hopping later in the night. However, unlike other hostels I've been too, people actually get up in the morning to see the sights. The hostel does this thing called supper club, where you can sign up to make dinner for the whole hostel (25-30 people). The hostel gives you €30 to spend on ingredients and reimburses you for your room that night and gives you a free beer. This made the hostel even better because it brings even more people together since everyone loves free food! I met so many amazing people here that I will miss dearly.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in EastSeven Berlin! It is so easy to find, only 2 stops from Alexanderplatz on the U2 line. The staff are so friendly, helpful and always willing to give you recommendations and advice on where to go and how to get there in Berlin. The hostel offers discounts to local places to eat in the area, purely for being a guest there. They also have a lovely little kitchen where you can cook and there is always some kind of free food available. The common room was cozy and comfy and we met so many cool people from all different sides of the world. Thank you EastSeven for making our stay so comfortable and wonderful and I am very sure we will be back soon.

I really felt at home on my stay at east seven. We couldn't meet people because we were on the streets visiting places most of the time, but when we got back to the hostel there were always a good atmosphere to relax, eat or drink something. The room were comfortable, clean and there were a lot of space. The kitchen is complete and multifunctional, they have all the tools that you need and you can also bring your own food and cook. It's a really good hostel and I recommend it for anyone who comes to Berlin.

The best thing in Eastseven is not the confortable room, the top cleaness or the decent price. No, the best thing is its cheerfull atmosphere where you have the opportunity to meet great people during great activities organized by the best staff ever.
Which hostel proposes you to cook for everybody (they provides the ingrédients) and getting a free night doing so?
Beside this, the common space is very chill. You will meet here people from all over in a familial atmosphere. So if you find yourself in Berlin, don t be silly friend. Come to the Eastseven \0/!

I was living for five days with my friends Ezequiel, Alberto and Carol from Spain last week at East Seven Hostel Berlin. Good customer service, they attended to us even in our mother tongue. They clean twice a day rooms, very spacious with wood flooring. You have an option to charge mobile there and you can select music as you prefer with spotify tool into a common area. We did a tour for six hours around city centre with a guide for 15 euros each one. I really recommend this hostel. Excelllent price-quality relation.

Very nice, clean, spacious, well-organized, central and comfortable. Rooms by the worth paying for (and it is not for nothing expensive). The staff is also very nice and pleasant. The garden and the breakfast are great. And the neighborhood in which it is located is perfect: quiet and modern by the day and bars and a very good atmosphere for the night. What more could you ask for? Thank you! PD: well, if what you want is to give the party the father within the hostel, this is not your site. For that there are the bars/clubs of Berlin.

Excellent hostel! Without being especially fancy, this hostel hits all the right spots, with extremely helpful and friendly staff, good rooms, an obsession with cleanliness and hygiene, and a great common room where you meet people from all over the world. The breakfast for 3€ is great value for money given it includes real coffee that even Italians will like. Plus, unlike some other places, the internet is perfect at all common areas and it worked fine in my room most of the time.

Very nice hostel. Extremely clean. Great kitchen and helpful staff. Special mention for Christian who was there to receive me when I arrived late at the hostel. Ensured that my first impression of Berlin was a great one. Loved swapping stories with the hostel folks as well. Highly recommended.

We were with 2 small children in the EC housed: The room was really nice, everything was super clean (incl. Bathroom) and very spacious. Super nice staff, beautiful common room. All very relaxed! The location is very well and conveniently located. We will come back again.

EastSeven is an all round great place to stay. First off, everything is clean and in good working order. Secondly there is a great atmosphere here, the staff are helpful and cheery. Thirdly, there are great offers for food and coffee for travellers on a budget. Breakfast buffet is only 2 euro, beer during happy hour is 1 euro and you can get cups of coffee for liking them on facebook! (otherwise 1 euro, and very fine espresso coffee). Rates are cheap during winter season and there is a kitchen that you can use to cook food and save more money. No hassle with location either. I can't think of one bad thing to say about this place. So glad I stayed here.

Great location — located in prenzlauer berg. Surrounded by small Berlin fashion shops, bars and restaurants (kastanienallee, kollwitzplatz) and yet in a quiet location, with garden, kitchen and lounge. On the border to the center, which is also in this district, all within walking distance. The hostel offers a very pleasant and relaxed atmosphere.
