Review of Boutique Hotel i31 Berlin Mitte 4*

We stayed at the hotel as a couple for 4 nights from the 16th-20th February. I booked the hotel as a Christmas present, and was really impressed with the low price and great reviews. I made a great choice! First impressions of the hotel are that it's clean and modern from the exterior. Upon entering you are introduced to the very crisp and boutique style of the hotel, with a minimal colour scheme of white, black and red along with a lovely wooden floor. We were welcomed to the hotel by the reception staff before a quick check in involving a quite form to fill out, and a credit card deposit (not uncommon abroad, so bring a credit card! ). We were given our room number, as well as the password and username for the (very good) free Wi-Fi that was accessible all over the hotel and we never had a problem. After getting our keys, we headed up to our room (434) and were instantly in love. The room featured a free safe, a fridge (which is restocked, free of charge, with cola, orange and apple juice and water) a Tassimo coffee machine, a flat screen TV, a desk and a bathroom with separate toilet. The room was spotless, clean and beautiful and we couldn't have asked for more. The beds were comfortable, and although we would've preferred a double, we didn't want to give up our lovely view of the gardens. The shower is incredible. A very strong power shower that makes you want to stay in it all day. The bathroom is also stocked with shower gel, body lotion and soap, all by Molton Brown. The bar and reception area is a great area to relax, and there's a live DJ every night as well as some lovely cocktails (although they do cost €10 upwards, and every one makes you want another). We found that the area of the hotel was very accessible for getting to all the major stations from either Naturkundemuseum underground, or Norbahnhof, but the nearby areas were lacking in entertainment, but there is a Subway and a convenience store nearby for any quick food needed. Overall a highlight of our trip. A beautiful hotel, near to public transport, with great rooms, yummy cocktails and friendly staff.
