Staying at this hotel in the middle of summer has been unpleasant for us. There is no air conditioning and no fan and with 3 people in one room, it gets really hot. We were on the top floor on the corner (room 422) and the sun blasts through our room all day. At nighttime, the room remains warm. There are large windows which we open but that makes it extremely noisy as there are people in the courtyard when we are trying to sleep, and it doesn’t make much difference with no breeze. We are used to the heat as we are from Australia but this is absurd. A simple fan would’ve been useful and made our trip better. However, the location is good, the staff are friendly and the beds are comfortable. We are not sorry to leave.

Very Good value for money! Great standard of room for 3 stars. The area is lovely and there are lots of restaurants and coffee shops nearby. Room was cleaned everyday and there is always is staff member on hand at reception. A good experience at an affordable hotel and great for city breaks as not too far from the local SBahn station.

Large rooms, but we had the windows facing the courtyard and they start working at 6:30 crash (disposing of rubbish, getting tables right, etc. Years ago you had probably leased the premises where the bar and restaurant were. Misleading that the signs "bar" and "restaurant" still hang where the entrance once was. They just remind you that the hotel might have been something special. The area is beautiful, but I'm looking for another hotel next time.

One is in good and safe care. It is a beautiful and quiet Area! Breakfast is rich and fresh. Great Restaurants, Cafes and Shops nearby. The remarkable Cantroad And the metro stop can be reached in 5 minutes.

Real friendly staff. We got a problem with the bed and they gave us a new and bigger room right away. Area is beautiful and peaceful. Close to everything with busses and a subway station close at the corner. Hotel is more than adequate for its price and stars. Perfect.

It's close to train station for easy transport to City centre, helpful people that work there and overall nice rooms with comfy beds. The breakfast is just like any hotel breakfast should be.

+Reasonably priced +nice bathroom and shower +decent location +comfortable bed +friendly cleaning and maintenance staff -extremely rude receptionist, when I first arrived he was very rude and short. Never said "You're welcome" even once. I've stayed at dozens of hotels and this was the worst. When the girl I was with arrived she had the same experience. If the receptionist is a tan looking man with curly hair with a lot of gel in it, BEWARE! -since they only give one key, another receptionist had to open up the door for my girl and she got very uncomfortable as he kept repeating how I was a "Lucky guy, very very lucky guy" for staying with her. He repeated the statement several times. Would be a good hotel for the price if it wasn't for the rude and creepy staff.

Very nice bathroom and breakfast is hammer, the rest standard. For the price really good.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was spotless. Great location for families, lots of lovely restaurants, close to a great U line for tourist spots and the bus for Tegel airport has a stop at the end of the road.

I do not understand how this hotel could get so good reviews. For me, it was a nightmare. The room is cold in winter, since the window does not close properly. And if you dare to turn on the heating system — the staff will turn it off as soon as you leave the room — so you can enter a chilly room in the evening. It takes long to get warm water in the shower. So be prepared to have a refreshing surprise in the morning. The walls are really thin — hence, you if you have a room close to the elevator, you might be lucky to be part of each conversation people are having while passing by. Unless it’s 1 a. M. In the morning — than you might be not as amused anymore. The staff… well there is one really impolite man. Well… unfortunately he was my first contact with the hotel, so I was quite shocked about the way the guests are treated and felt unconfutable to enter the lobby. However, I had to change my opinion, because all the other employees are really nice and helpful. So… be aware of this one man. Besides that, the hotel has a good location and is clean.

Nice Hotel… in Charlottenburg… close to Subway (Ernst-Reuter-Platz) or S-Bahn (Savigny Square) also with up to reach… super Breakfast… very plentiful… Price-performance is right… only a few guests would have to abide by certain rules… the only drawback… The underground garage is not an underground garage for me… would offer this rather as an option… a garage is locked… and this is not so… but this is only Besides… otherwise parking in the Knesebeckstraße with 13 euros per day is possible…

I spent five nights in a single bedroom. Pros: — very good breakfast with lots of options. — comfortable bed — booked early and it was cheap (~40€ per night incl. Breakfast) Cons: — small room — even smaller bathroom, the shower is the smallest I've ever seen and has shower curtains that make it even smaller. The shower head can't go higher than eye level so one has to hold it in one hand to wash the hair. — security is from the last century, still using easy to copy keys. — Wi-Fi also has no protection for the guest and is very limited with frequent connection loss. Overall for the price it's ok. But seeing that rooms are now around 120€ per night I can't recommend it at that price.

Good location and easily accessible by meter. Clean. Friendly staff. Neighborhood full of restaurants and where to have breakfast. Good price too. Ability to leave the suitcase in a locked room.

In my view a top hotel, renoveirt with style in a beautiful corner of Berlin near the city centre/Kudamm/Kantstrasse.

Rooms should also be properly sucked at times. Under the beds and in some places you can see the dust. Otherwise nice staff and delicious food. ❤

Staff very nice. Room clean and well maintained. What disturbed me was the old plank floor which constantly "Gequitscht" when running.

I don't understand why earlier reviews were unfavourable. We really enjoyed our stay here. We are a family of 5 and we had a 5 bed room which was spacious, and appeared to have been recently renovated. The room was clean, serviced beautifully every day. The buffet breakfast was generous and the breakfast room was spacious and elegant. Without exception, every staff member we encountered was friendly, obliging and helpful. We stayed 5 nights and would come again. Location is convenient to U and S bahn. Even with young children this would be a convenient, pleasant walk to the Zoo. Good shopping in 2 directions, but we found local dining to be a little expensive.

Good neighbourhood, close to public transport such as the metro and buses but a 40-50 minute walk from the Brandenburg gate. Friendly staff, when checking in we got some good advice on things to see and do in Berlin. Breakfast is extra but the selection is good and the facilities are good. Wifi isn't the fastest and doesn't provide the best connection but is passable. Our room was small for 5 people but the beds were very comfortable and the bathroom reasonable. Price is a little above what we would expect but Berlin is not the cheapest city, I was happy with the hotel overall.

Family of 4. Large and clean room, contemporary style. Metro and services a few tens of meters away. Quite low prices. Lacks fitness center. It was preferred to have breakfast outside (at least 3 bars a walk from the hotel) due to the excessive costs of the same, however in line with what is practiced in the main European capitals. Ultimately, good stay.

Nice hotel, in a nice neighborhood. Not luxurious and a bit old, but still the location & cleanliness is perfect. Also there are many restaurants around the hotel serving different cuisines.

Nice and close to the zoo. The staff is kind and helpfull.

We upgraded to a comfort twin, so one up from the standard. Room size was good. Clean and tidy. Downsides, we had a problem with lack of cold water which was quickly resolved. Tea bags weren't replaced which was a bit stingey. Noisy also, didn't get a good night's sleep. Cleaning trolleys are dragged accros the courtyard early in the morning. But good value for Berlin.

Good location, very clean and tidy. Comfortable beds and good temperature inside. Someone is always at the reception which was helpful. Only a quick walk to tiergarten a huge park in central Berlin. Only thing is that shower only had a curtain and bathroom was soaked after use.

A very nice and cozy hotel with a pleasant ambiance and good rooms. Very often stayed here and barely had anything to complain about. The staff is extremely friendly and responds immediately when you have a complaint or problem. By far not a matter of course in all hotels. The cleanliness always top. The very quiet location with the many restaurants nearby makes it a top recommendation.

In travel for business I had a problem with my reservation despite a receipt from my travel agency. At the end (the receptionist preferred to discuss with young ladies) I got a small room in the back yard.

The Hotel is great… It is posisioned quite well to the different Subway stations that let you go anywhere real quickly!

Booked online for the period 14-18 August at a convenient price, the addition of a person already previously advised about 1 month before which we were assured a price of €10 per night turned out to cost us 5 times as much, hotel of which we Benefited only for the overnight stay given the cost of €15 per day for breakfast, discreet structure although very very basic, there is no air conditioning in the room but only the radiators.

Nice and quite cheap hotel considering its central location in West Berlin. Clean rooms, minimal service.

Very poor hotel based on the price. No amenities, no a/c, slow unsecured Wi-Fi, parking that costs just as much as it does on the street, and no roomservice. On the plus side the staff was very accommodating. Would not recommend to others.

Ok place to stay. Trainstation Berli. Zoo is near and some nice Restaurants and Bars are nearby as well. Hotel itself is clean and with basic rooms. Nothing bad but also nothing fancy. Perfect for a short term stay.

The Hotel is not in the city centre, but it is really… Less than 200mt there are bus and Metro stops (from Friday to Monday they travel 24h)! Clean and spacious room! Friendly staff (except the Italian receptionist)

The toilet seat in our room is broken and they wouldn't give us coffee for the second night we stayed … but otherwise it was clean and comfortable and in a nice area …,

I didn't like it at all. I regret that I reserve hotel here. Old fashined room, bad lighting, bad socket and bed position, no view through the windows, almost empity room, In my opinion it doesn't have any thing that a hotel room normally need to have in Germany standard.

Good Hotel for a city visit. Staff in the Breakfast room not really friendly and sometimes listless. Because of this, however, is not of great importance for the Hotel overall seems to be clouded and it seems only a little. On the Whole, therefore advisable.

Unfortunately, that was only one staff at the reception friendly and good humored. Our room was absolutely too small and because the Windows in the courtyard outside, we heard the continuous persons or smelled the cigarette smoke from the outside persons. When the check was from the staff only asked: Have you at our Breakfast eaten, or the bottled water consumed? Was both of us deny and thus we were immediately adopted. It is a pity that this Hotel did so not for his guests are interested. Unfortunately no recommendation.

I stayed in this hotel for three nights in November 2014. The hotel is straightforward with good room facilities and continental breakfast. My room was on the 4th floor towards the back and was clean and quiet. The reception staff were helpful and spoke good English. The hotel has free Wi-Fi. The hotel is a short walk from Berlin's main shopping street and is close to an underground station for simple access to the rest of the city. There are a number of nice bars and restaurants a short walk away. So overall, recommended.

Not a bad place to stay. The staff were nice and breakfast had lots of different choices in foods and drinks. The room was very basic not very Maney TV Channels to watch after a long day but there is Wi-Fi and overall 3/5.

Throughly enjoyed our stay here. Very convenient to subway station and heart of city. Loads of restaurants nearby with an excellent coffee shop right next door. Very helpful staff.

The staff are very nice, but the hotel is run down, and really horrible Wi-Fi with no cabled internet in the rooms either. We swapped three rooms before we could find one that was reasonable, but still, horrible Wi-Fi and plumbing.

I do not have the slightest idea how this place could get 4 stars from DEHOGA. I was stuffed into a room better fitted for dwarfs, more precisely smoking dwarfs: It's a smoker's room. Disgusting. My complaint did not generate much interest. Sleeping was only possible with open windows, but that's not the nicest thing in winter. The shower's door is broken, and the shower itsself takes forever to get warm. Next time, given the choice between this place and the park, it will be the park. Certainly colder, but without a lack of clean air.

Bikes included, as well as free Internet! Rooms are very comfortable and super clean.
