October 2019 — BUILDING SITE NEXT DOOR! AVOID!
There's a huge building site next door meaning you are woken up to drilling noise at 8am! Rest is NOT what you are going to get here.
Staff rude and don't care about it at all…
Also, our room was above the kitchen, noisy staff can be heard anytime day and night as they smoke outside and are loud.
Hotel was given the chance to put this right, but they simply didn't care so here I am sharing our experience hoping people will read this.
PS we reported the main light wasn't working on day 1, 3 days later, it was not sorted.

This is a nice hotel to stay in while visiting Berlin and spending time in the Kurfuerstendamstr area. Breakfast is included in the price or it cost about 16 Euros.

When we arrived they couldn’t fine our reservation. After 45 minutes and 2 calla that he is stressed, that hus collegue is out smoking, that his phone rings we got our room. He also told me couple of times I booked a single room and althought he had my passport he called me Carina and changed the reservation. After 45 minutes we got our room. Don’t have anything good to say. He said he ses sorry when he saw I got angry. Also a big minus for the smoke hanging around the entrance all the way to the elevators.

Just back from a 4night stay
Almost 3:30pm by the time we got into our rooms, one of the walls had damp patches, TV was crap about 4 channels worked, shower door hanging off, aircon was less than adequate, had the cheek to charge us 1 euro for about a dozen ice cubes in a small plastic cup, no tea/coffee making facilities in the room, was told we could get tea at the bar up until 12am but would be 10 euro per day! I get it it's not the ritz hotel. But for a hotel that is ''supposidly'' 4 star. Yeah. Bloody joke, will never be back.

Very good service and attention, near the center of the city and very easy access at all hours, also very good restaurant and bar.

Very clean, nice breakfast, etc. But old mattress and pillow very big in our two rooms.

It's a nice hotel. Not expensive. It's a great location. Everyone's around.

Personal there is really great. Hotel has a little older furniture but still useful. Breakfast is too expencive but many cafes arounds serves it… Room was cleaned every day really great!

Sad old hotel with olny some of the stuff are nice… I stayed in a three stars hotel and it was way better in almost everyway. The room cleaning wasn't good. The only good think was the location. Never again!

Good location, good deal on room, but a bit small for a "business room". Some staff very friendly, others seem very stoic. Nice bar next to the lobby. Parking is not free, but the public lot is next to the hotel, for €13/24 hours.

"Above average friendly" staff, however, is questionable for me, for which the hotel has received 4 stars.
I had an EZ on the 7th floor, which is very habitual, spartan and cheaply furnished. Bathroom, however, modernized, but mega-small. Not suitable for more than dress size 42/44, since the toilet is left immediately behind the door and you can not dodge to the right because of the sink to close the door. Alternatively, you could get into the bathtub to close the door.
The 7th floor also smells very much in need of getting used to.
TV in mini version with very poor image quality (snow), fixed on the wall without swivel arm.
Breakfast for 4 stars a disaster, far too small dining room for far too many guests. Selection of cold cuts (raw ham, back cooking ham, beer sausage and salami as well as Gouda, Leerdammer and Camenbert) and fruit very modest. Hotel was currently fully occupied with coach tourists. Hotel is more geared towards mass handling.
I've lived in Berlin at the same price much better. But everything is, as we all know, a matter of taste. I rate only because of the central location with okay. After 4 nights spent, I draw the conclusion for myself: Once and never again!

There is no parking for WV Caravelle cars. Noisy in the room that overlooks the street.

Could not fault this hotel stayed there in March for 4 nights. Hotel is located in the heart of Berlin in a residential area so your away from all the noise. The rooms are spacious and cosy and modern would definitely stay here again.

Great location: restaurants and shops close to the hotel, U-Bahn, S-Bahn and bus stations nearby (5-10 minutes walk). The room was clean and quiet. Breakfast area could be larger, in the morning around 8:15 A. M. All the tables were taken, had to wait for about 20 minutes. Food was good.

Good location but a bit old fashioned. The breakfast is very good. The staff is very friendly.

For the price okay. Anyone expecting a classic 4 star hotel might be disappointed. The TV was not used thanks to the size and the poor reception, but you prefer to spend time exploring the city anyway. Rooms were clean which is a big plus but the bed was quite hard. If you want more comfort and size, you should look for something different, if you need a place to sleep and don't stay too long, you are very well catered for here. The proximity to the Kudamm is also highly recommended.

Rooms are like 2 star hotel rooms. Hotel is good looking outside and inside as long as you aren't in your standard room. Luggage holding for an extra cost. Rooms really poor. Bus to Tegel airport 400m and near are a lot shopping and eating places.

Very good hotel and the price is good as well. You have bus stop around the corner, there are a lot of restaurants around and a big variety of shops nearby. Would recommend Berlin Mark Hotel to anyone that wants to visit Berlin and don't want to spend a lot of money in a hotel. There is no parking but there is a Lidl with free parking few meters down the street.

The hotel is supposed to be a 4 star hotel but I highly doubt that. Maybe it was, 10-15 years ago but today I would give max. 3. The rooms are old and totally outdated, the corridor smells dusty, the AC does not work, the fan in the bathroom can not be turned off by any means and makes an annoying sound, the shower is so small you can barely move in it without accidentally bumping into the tap, the bathroom is very outdated as well, parts of the door from the shower are broken. Every wall has marks on it and basically all doors are damaged. The only positive thing I can say about the hotel is that apart from the fact that the room is totally outdated, they are at least clean (sometimes (! ) if you are lucky to have a room without a broadloom carpet because these carpets are dirty all over the hotel). I do not recommend it, chose another hotel they are not worth your money. P. S. The staff is not friendly at all. (Even though the hotel promotes itself as having friendly staff members)

The hotel is OK. Definitely not the best hotel but reasonably priced.
The breakfast here is great, was worth it.
Unfortunately, the hotel is only accessible via a kind of call centre. The colleagues there unfortunately did not have everything that was discussed passed to the hotel…
The hotel does not have parking. You can park in the nearby car park, but you have to walk into the hotel. In principle not bad in summer, only at — 10 degrees wars really not funny:D.

Great location in West Berlin, great service. The room was very clean. Atmospheric old building, not so long ago renovated. Everything is in perfect condition. Breakfast is on the level. There are several good restaurants nearby.

Nice enough but overly impressed considering it’s 4 stars Shower a tad small. While washing my back hit the valve and turned it to cold. I reached pitches I didn’t know a 44yr old man could reach after puberty Decent location though.

Not worth 4 stars. The location is good for city breaks, the entrance area makes something and the breakfast is fine. Otherwise the rooms are quite small, the hotel is overheated and quite used, the beds are uncomfortable. The TV is small and the picture and sound quality leaves nothing to be desired. I did not like the staff described as so cordially. On the contrary, the reception staff were inflexible and not particularly friendly.

Has a good location… warm regards and the rooms are clean. I really recommend…

Unfortunately, only one star can stand at this point. The room is unfortunately really in the years. Pictures say more than words.

Unfortunately, the stay was very disappointing for me. From a 4-star hotel in Germany I am accustomed by far different. The rooms are very outdated. In the bathroom several tiles were bound and the silicone gaskets in part no longer exist. The shower could not be properly closed, so the bath was then under water. The TV is so small that you could hardly see anything from the bed. The image quality was also not good. The breakfast was fine. For me the most impossible was that the first morning while I was under the shower stood a strange couple in my room because they wanted to look at my bed because they were dissatisfied with it. After I had digested the shock and the staff talked about it, I was told that my room was not deposited and therefore a second room card was issued. Except for a short apology, I received no compensation for this incident. Arrived at home, I noticed that I had forgotten something in my hotel room. After I was confirmed by mail, there was still no answer to the question whether the article could be sent back to me. I absolutely can't recommend this hotel. Unfortunately, a lot of things went wrong from front to back.

Room very small. TV — reception disturbed and hardly possible. Hotel — Equipment I can't give 4 stars. Everything looks very much taken away. I can't recommend it to anyone.

Cheap, central and very cosy, I recommend it to those who go to Berlin.

The staff was extremely polite and nice. Breakfast was good enough. But. I really doubt that it is four stars. Very poor facilities for such level. Rooms were tidied every day.

Forget it, it's an insult to Italian cuisine.

Don't recommend it. Housekeeping is rude and enters your room without knocking while you are sleeping. Internet is bad and some receptionists could use some more customer service training. They did try to make up for their mistakes and Andreas was particularly friendly and the bed, even if its just two twin beds together, is comfortable.

Moldy shower… Broken shower… Broken Closet… At night half past twelve then room move… Hotel comes extremely in the years. Do something!

Excellent location, next to shopping center and meters from the exclusive Avenue Kunfusterdam. All transport nearby. The facilities are in condition, could be better. Very full breakfast. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Location is great, but they have a very high selfstim to say is a 4****… I would say 2 1/2 would be enough… Everything is old, the shower was clogged in every room, I even ask to change but it was the same but at least wasn't smelly. Elevators were old and Scarry, they are renewing but way far from 4 stars.

The rooms are actually only average, however the hotel is in direct proximity to the Ku ' dam quite inexpensive. The breakfast buffet is OK and is constantly refilled, but slightly overflowing. It's best to get up early. When we were here people could watch the as many food under the tables as on top. Terrible.

For one night in central location OK, unfortunately of the 4 stars not much to see. The breakfast is good and the location really central, but the bathroom is dirty, the walls need to be painted badly and the carpet that lies everywhere has its best times also behind it.

We stayed two nights here. Breakfast is great. Service very friendly. The hotel is in need of renovation, the carpets in the hallway, floor 6, motel-Moderate, TV is the ornament in the small room. Beds roll apart. Wi-Fi, maybe for 5 minutes. Thought, here are 2 to 3 stars, but never 4. More than 2 nights is not recommended. Very good location.

The hotel was ok. Pieces of the bathroom were falling apart (door handle, paint was flaking off the shower door, the drain of the shower was loose, lamp was broken). Sadly the hotel had 2 individual beds and not a double and also single sheets. Room heating was fine and the breakfast was fine too. Location was very good, close to the christmas markets and city centre.

You don't feel comfortable here. The breakfast buffet is OK, our room was okay. The hotel is absolutely in need of renovation and I would only book again if I was looking for a cheap hotel easily via Jugendherbergenstil.
80Euro for a double room is a price here, but this is unfortunately the only one.

Our visit to this hotel has been and really enjoyed! Food was good, luxurious it is in the entrance area and Wi-Fi is also available! The only downside is that most customers are at the side. Where you don't have a nice view.
But otherwise the long is perfect! About 5 minutes to the Kudamm! (On foot)

Slipped in the tub in the shower and really rudely smashed his back. At the reception the hint was given to anti or similar. It has been taken note of, no excuse or asking if you can do something for me.
Incredibly rocked off the store. Good location, but that's it too.

Good location in city centre, modern bar and reception area but the bar was slightly pricey for the location as to be expected from a hotel. Room was extremely dated and disappointing, no kettle, no working fridge, no free ironing facilities available, no safe in the room.

The room was very compact, and the place not very new. There are stains on carpets. However, the service is good, breakfast is quite nice: coffee and milk, different kinds of yogurt and seeds and other fillings, eggs and omelet, meat and cheese, bread and croissants, jams and fruit salad, etc. The cleaning is done well, the taps and mirrors in the bathroom are shining as new. No slippers in the room though, but it was clean enough to be barefoot. The water is hot right away, no need to wait. For the people who need literally bed and breakfast and not much space in the center of Berlin, I would recommend.

Really a dump. Brown water dripping from the ceiling in the hallway. All furniture in the extremely small room is damaged. TV cable is missing. Outlets are damaged. Walls and floor stained. Dust everywhere. Cobwebs in the corners.
Prefer to stay in a hostel than again in this hotel.

It is a scam \ is a fraud price of 4 stars and hostel rooms, book a month before a double room with queen bed and I got 2 separate mini beds, a shower tray of 60 x 60 that stuck, a small and sad room and a TV of 10 Years of 15 inches maximum when I try to cancel the reservation I was threatened with charging my card the total of the reservation.

4-Star reception, rooms of 3. Very good location U-Banh (Metro) to 4 minutes, S-banh (nearby) to 11 minutes. It has a shower tray, German-only channels, Wi-Fi with restrictions. Of 5 receptionist with whom we spoke 1 spoke Spanish. Good breakfast. I wouldn't be disgusted to go back. I add photo of the views from the room.

It was ok. I had a big room for a reasonable price. I didn't like that they want a payment for the luggage deposit (1€ each bag/trolley). It was ok for the rest.

It's like they got those 4 stars out of a cereal box. I had to ask to move rooms 3 times upon arrival due to the dirtiness off the rooms. I genuinely would not let my dog sleep in the rooms. The lobby is nice and a select few staff are nice. I would not stay here again, I have stayed in hostels that are cleaner. Location is good though.

Excellent hotel! Near from everything. The public transport stays less than 4 minutes by walk. Near from a lot of restaurants and The zoo! :D Enjoy the area!

C is a nice GD hotel, spacious and pleasant rooms.

The room was found clean and arranged every day, even the bathroom which is small but functional. Considering that this is a 4 star hotel, the room would need a renovation since the carpet and walls especially are visibly experienced. The view is not anything special but the location is great: a few steps from the Kurfürstendamm, there are many locals, restaurants and various shops.
At a distance of 100 meters there is a Lidl and just ahead you will find the numerous bus stops and the metro station.

Staff not friendly and helpful bathroom not at the height of the 4 star ill smelling upholstery including the carpet.

Hotel well located for shopping, the Metro is nearby. Very good comfort and Wi-Fi in the rooms.

Great hotel. Very friendly helpful and attentive staff. Rooms could be updated to a more modern style. But overall, was a good hotel for my one night stay. As a tourist, location is also great. Many Restaurants and cafes on same street. Ku'damm 2 minutes walk. Public transport Also very nearby. Supermarkets and cafes all in walking distance.

Excellent location. We stayed in room 701 ideal for mother and son. 2 separate rooms in one with shared ensuite. Fridge with drinks but no complimentary water. No kettle but cups of hot water available from friendly bar staff open from 11am. Good selection offered at breakfast. Gluten free bread available. Friendly helpful waiters and reception staff. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Very good hotel, nice room. It was a very nice breakfast buffet. Next to the subway, you can quickly get everywhere.

For a city centre hotel it's fine. It's not the Ritz, but we didn't pay Ritz prices, good value for a 3 night stay. The room we have is overlooking the main road, good double glazing keeps out noise, and of a decent size. The bathroom is small but adequate, no bathtub just a shower. Beds are comfortable and there is a flat screen tv, only one chanel in English (sky news) but we're not here to watch tv. It's a few minutes walk to K' dam and Europa Centre etc. Reception is a little chaotic, but the staff are very friendly, multi lingual, and helpful. The included continental breakfast was very nice, a good selection of meats/cheese/bread etc. We would come back again, and recommend to friends.

We went to eat as customers of the Mark Apart Hotel. Dinner is at the buffet, they present a first or a secodo, a sweet and vegetables.

Not bad but we find better value for money.

Booked in yesterday, upgraded free of charge to the corner penthouse suite where we had our own separate lounge, kitchen and cloak room. Rooms were well furnished with suede sofas and flat screen TV's. Staff were very attentive and friendly. Hotel location is excellent and there are a variety of local restaurants and bars which are all reasonably priced. The underground is a short walk away making the rest of the city very accessible. The only thing I'd change would be the duration of our stay as three nights wasn't enough to enjoy this beautiful city. Highly recommend.

So we stayed 5 nights (2 nights a child 14 years) at the Mark Hotel in Berlin and I absolutely do not understand how this hotel comes to 4 stars.
The room we got had only a nice point that it was a family room (Two rooms), it was lived out and the furniture abused. The cupboards in the hallway were not allowed to touch so have the wobbled (Ikea furniture)
The bed was on wheels, the curtains were so dirty, which turned out to be in the whole room! Too bad actually.
We talked to several employees about it, and we always got the answer that the renovations want but the decision has not yet been made in which direction it goes (the concept lies with the boss in Israel). I would not book this hotel any more, as the cleanliness is my top priority. On arrival I made an S on the toilet paper holder in the bathroom, which was still! The foreign company that took over the cleaning of the rooms did not want to understand one (neither German nor English). The work you have spent is flawed!
However, there was also something positive, two employees will remember me very positively. And the service in the bar was good. And made it possible to end the evening pleasantly. Thanks to Laura and Gordon!

So I've seen rarely such a bad Hotel regarding the cleanliness and quality of the service can I write a jetzr not because I just one day you sleep enough also.
The first thing to notice is the entrance door makes loud lerm because it is defective you can cope with. To receive 4 issues of the environment you could give me an answer. Still be ok
But from the moment I came in the room it was dirty walls with stains over cabinets and beds just ugly and old with quirks.

Photos on the net better than in reality. My room was small, it smelled musty. The breakfast was OK but nothing special. Bottom line is too expensive. Will stay here not again.

Hotel is in a great location, Wi-Fi was provided but logs you out after about 2 hours of inactivity. There was no kettle in the room so we couldn't make tea. However everything else was clean and bedding/towels replaced daily.

Very good location. Right in the middle of the centre. The rooms was good and had all the things you expekt of a hotell. The bad thing was the service. They understood english but answered in german so it was hard to understand the answer. Only one person worked in the bar at night so you had to wait up to 25 minutes for a drink.

Decent hotel, great location. Staff was friendly, informed me about free street parking around. The lobby carpet looks dated and the shower bathroom was a little compact. 3.5 star.
