It is a beautiful hotel, but unfortunately, the service standard is way below a 5* or even 4* hotel. Room service forgot to clean parts of the room, pillows were without pillow covers, etc. But the worst part is that after having spoken to stuff in person and called 3x and even after lots of promises I still have not received my invoice 1 week after my stay. That’s annoying, a waste of time and simply not acceptable. One item was paid for with my business card and then with my personal card and has never been cancelled on my business card. What a shame to ruin a beautiful hotel with bad service. I’d like to mention that the SPA stuff is incredibly friendly and helpful.

Gorgeous conference venue in the center of Munich, helpful and professional staff. I would like to especially thank Ms Schaefer and colleagues for helping to trace and retrieve a lost jacket!

Sadly, I have to report this Hotel! My review will come followed by my written report. Nice staff but hotel is a 2 star that I have to report. The staff was so nice HOWEVER, I was in my room for less than one hour when I noticed it was PERIOD BLOOD ON THE BATHROOM WALL AND ON THE SHOWER DOOR. I of course called front desk so show them this dried up blood every where. Staff was grossed out as well. They moved me to a lesser room that smelled like mold. Not only that I would put marks on sheet everyday and noticed that they changed no sheets 🥴🤦🏽‍♀️.
As a medical profession it's important this hotel is reported and understand what BLOOD BORNE PATHOGENS means! Putting someone in a uncleaned room with someone else's blood could of cost this hotel to close if anything was contracted. This type of mistake causes risk for diseases which could result in a lawsuit. Like I said nice staff but hotel is NOT CLEAN!
Pics and videos was taken of the blood 🥴 The pics online of this hotel is false and it's nothing French about it but everyone needs to be tranied in cleaning and understand how harmful blood in rooms from previous guest can be.

Poor check in experience! The hotel seems to be aiming to be ordinary rather than exceptional. Loyalty is paid off by a free drink in the bar rather than anything personal. No “welcome back” smile, no personal message from the management in the room, just a check in by the book.

A great hotel, I am absolutely thrilled by the friendliness of the staff. Many thanks to Mrs. Schäfer and the staff at the reception. Had something left, it was found and now it comes to me by post. Very dear and I am looking forward to next time.

Great. Nice staff and very nice rooms.

So we have been staying here for 3 nights in a very expensive suite. Whilst the staff at reception have been quite lovely … housekeeping are absolutely appalling. The fruit they delivered to our room has been left in it to rot whilst we were away overnight. Glasses not cleared. Bathrobes left in a jumbled heap … not how we left them. Water not replaced. And when we did ask for the rotting fruit to be taken away it was simply dumped outside our door by the housekeeping staff. Mimi bar not topped up either. What a massive disappointment this hotel has been.

A Beautiful hotel both inside and out. We were delighted that the breakfast could be enjoyed until 1pm as today was a public holiday. We spent the afternoon in the Spa and it was so relaxing. Everything about our room is gorgeous, especially the comfort or the beds and the bath and shower. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Amazing experience, the Duplex Junior Suite had everything we wished for and the view was breathtaking. The breakfast was as expected really good. In my opinion that is how every hotel should be.

What a great experience for a standard double room! Everything one could need an so much more is available. Designed in such a way that even a normal hotelroom feels spacious. Lovely breakfast as well, plenty of choice and great variety.

I am SO impressed with this hotel! my husband and I are here for Oktoberfest so they are busy and the whole city is hectic. But the service has been so wonderful at Sofitel that I feel we are on our Honeymoon! Not only are the rooms comfortable, classy and immaculate, the people are amazing. At breakfast this morning I mentioned how much I liked their sparkling water, when we arrived back from touring today, there were two bottles in the room with the sweetest handwritten note! Who does that anymore? AND also the ladies in the spa are fantastic! I Love this place, the location is fantastic and I can't wait for our next trip! Wunderbar!

100% terrible. I made my truthful TripAdvisor comment, which the Sofitel can’t remove — they said they were going to talk to management and get back to us — haven’t heard a thing. Yet try to delete me on Instagram. They have our money so simply do not care. This is the type of hotel you are choosing. One that just wants your money and cares less about its clients.

A beautiful and centrally located hotel, with amazingly caring and professional team to ensure the guest recieve warm hospitality. My first day of arrival today, the professional staffs already looked after us with their attention to details welcome, from front desk, breakfast bar, concierge to their management, truly great service.

Excellent hotel, amazing staff. No issues whatsoever. This location is excellent if you want to have a home base for day excursions around Munich as it’s across the street from the train station. There was minimal train noise as the lines are all electric. This place will be my pick when I return to Munich.

My son and I stayed at the Sofitel Munich Bayerpost for just over a week at the end of July. This was the best week of my life! On our way from the US to Munich, a 1 hour layover turned into a 38 hour delay sleeping in airports. We arrived exhausted at the Sofitel. They made our stay so wonderful and helped us extend our stay in the same room 2 days so we didn't miss all our exciting plans. The Sofitel was central to Munich and a 10 minute walk to city center and right next to the train station. We had room service for breakfast and dinner daily as we were out exploring for up to 15 hours a day this was so convenient and always delicious! They left us a bottle of water every night, chamomile tea once and a day it was much appreciated, and a box of delicious chocolates on another day. We had a duplex jr suite with a city view that included a sunset to die for every evening over the view of the city. Concierge, room service, housekeeping, everyone was phenomenal, friendly, and always happy to help. I couldn't have asked for anything more and am so happy with our stay. I cant wait to come again next summer with my husband this time!

It is a real Luxury Hotel with mostly fair prices directly at train station. Nevertheless you have a calm room and do not hear anything from outside. All rooms are individually designed with valuable interior. Nice pool with special times for children so that every person can have its perfect wellness time. Gym is too small for a hotel like this. Good bar with nice terrace.

Sofitel pleased with both the furnishings and the large windows, the room was clean and the bathroom too.

I recently stayed at the Sofitel in Munich. This was the final stop on our European adventure. The day we arrived it was my son's 20th birthday, the staff went above and beyond in making it an amazing birthday for him. I had sent an email asking for a birthday cake for my son and they not only made a wonderful cake, they also upgraded our room to a beautiful suite, gave us a bottle of champagne, flowers and hand written card. The hotel is in a great location and very close to restaurants, the train station and shopping. Love the decor of the hotel and our suite was very modern and well appointed. Really enjoyed the spa and pool, such a great place to relax. I would definitely recommend this hotel. I'd like to thank Alec, Victoria and the rest of the amazing Sofitel team for making our stay so memorable! Thanks again! Charlotte.

It's all good. Although on the first day of settlement the iron waited forty minutes and did not wait. The next day brought five minutes after the request.

Room is very nice but small. The bed is okay. It's very quiet but does not have good views. The bar/lounge is excellent. Great location next to the main station for quick day trips. Short distance from Marienplatz to enjoy shopping and night life.

5 stars for the 5 star house! Located fantastically central. The hotel is modern, welcoming and cosy. The rooms are at 5 star level, although in some cases already weak age in small things such as the radio. Nevertheless, the hotel is very impressive with the service. Extremely helpful and friendly staff. The stay is sweetened by trifles and gestures from the staff. The cleanliness in the spa, public area and rooms was outstanding. We will be happy to come back.

Much technology but uncomfortable the room has two floors and the suitcases are left down.

Rooms comfortable, restaurant and bar staff attentive and very attuned to the needs of business travel (efficient service, companionable silence or chit-chat on demand). The location is easily walkable and accessible to public transit (u-bahn and s-bahb) while still being elegant. The neighborhood is a little "bus station" but you're never far from nicer options.

Very well decorated hotel. Spacious lobby and guest room. Very good selections for buffet breakfast. Delicious. The service is slow and hardly see staff smile or give attention to guest except the reception in front of restaurant. Nice bar with good selection of cocktails.

All super class as it should be in a hotel of this price range. TMF It is a bit stingy that fast internet costs extra. Honest people?

Very well managed hotel room with a still walking location to the city centre. The modern development in an old post office building has a special charm. The staff is friendly and helpful. The food has a high quality.

I chose to stay at Sofitel Munich, because of my accumulated points. And who would have know that I will have a problem with my ankle and kind front officer;Heidi & Isabell helped me with changing room & I celebrated my 12 year anniversary with my husband. I am very touched and appreciated their support and understanding the need of my problem. I feel very terribly sorry to bother both of them but they are very very insisting to help, but caring and comforting me to not worry. This is why we stay at Sofitel brand! AND this is why I will always come back here and tell my friends to stay here! Love you and the team at Sofitel Munich very much!

We had a beautiful stay with our little dog. The staff are very accommodating and extremely friendly.
Our Fellnase was also considered with dog beds and cups in the room.
The breakfast was a dream! Everything you want.

The service is very good and the hotel is spotless!

I was invited to a small feast and must say the hotel has its own charm, the central location and the proximity to the train station is great. The staff was friendly even though it took some time to get something to drink. That's why a star deduction. Otherwise I can only recommend the hotel.

Beautiful place. Very cosy atmosphere. Friendly staff and great quality. Room also comfortable. Only snag, the shower room and WC, where you don't feel like you're in a 5 star.

We had such a great stay at the Sofitel Munich, in one of the panorama suites on the 8th floor. The room was spacious and nicely decorated and had a rain shower. All the staff were super friendly and helpful, and they gave us great recommendations on local nightlife and sightseeing. Really convenient location right next to the main train station. I love the secret pool, which is possibly one of the coolest pools I've ever been in. The whole spa/sauna area is nice and relaxing. We enjoyed a delicious dinner at the Delice Restaurant downstairs. Thank you Sofitel.

I was there as part of a meeting. Little atmosphere, lasting difficulty in resupplying lunch. If there was something, crockery and cutlery were scarce. This does not fit into a luxury hotel. Good central location, but close to the train station no charm. Nice staff.

Impeccable service in the Isarbar with impressive constancy. Even on several visits there is not a criticism.
All the utmost respect from an otherwise rather critical observer (really a pity not to mention a name here).
Overall, the hotel is a real haven, right next to the uneven busier train station, and has a good-looking view of trains.

The hotel is centrally located, right at the central station is still quiet and very luxurious. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The hotel is definitely worth a visit.

Our room was upgraded to a suite, surprise champagne and cake was delivered to our room (free of charge) not long after arriving and the spa was very relaxing. The staff was extremely helpful and quick to do their jobs. The people working in the spa provided you with information about different products and encouraged you to use them at your disposal. Overall we were thrilled with our stay and will definitely recommend the Sofitel in the future!

The 5 star hotel is perfectly located at the main train station, so it is easy to reach from the airport by S-Bahn, and as a starting point for exploring the city is just as perfect.
The staff is very friendly and accommodating.
I had a room with a bathtub to the courtyard. Absolutely quiet, modern furnishings, clean and with everything you would expect from such a hotel.
The Sauna/Wellness/Fitness area is also very nicely designed. With nice relaxation area and large pool.
Breakfast is good but for €40 I would have expected a little more.
But at any time again. Was a very nice long weekend.

Nice building on the outside. Decoration in black and grey. Spacious and poorly decorated spaces, or lacking in decoration.
Large rooms, being narrow with excess furniture. Well-equipped, good services. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

I like everything about this hotel. The rooms are superior — the interior design is excellent, you hear almost no noise coming in from the outside (absolute silent), beds are cozy. The service is above average of most 5* hotels that I know. I like the bar of the hotel too. Recommended.

The reception — as it is for a house of this quality — is extremely friendly and all wishes are read from the eyes.

I only visited the cafe, situated on left hand side when entering the hotel. Since I lived in Munich, I never booked a room there. But often used the cafe to meet people. It's very posh. Service is amazingly friendly. Near main station, so it's very nice to go first for relaxing drink after picking up your visitors from main station. They have international newspapers there. And coffeetable books.

This is a very upscale hotel with a wonderful spa, and delightful, affordable packages! The entire interior of the hotel looks like it could double as a posh museum! Whoever the curator is, they're definitely doing a superb job. The service, bar and room made our stay a very pleasant one. Sofitel is definitely a gem in Munich!

Munich Hotel Classics directly at the Central station. The hotel is well located and offers ample space for meetings and events. Parking spaces are limited and not free of charge. Rooms are modern and of high quality.

This is my second stay at this hotel because I've been dreaming of the incredibly comfortable beds since I was here last. They are still just as perfectly soft with fluffy pillows and blankets as I remember. Staff here are also very nice and service is efficient. The bathtub is large and perfect for a hot bath. The location of this hotel next to Hauptbahnhof is excellent, as it's incredibly easy to get anywhere in or outside the city.

A good hotel good price quality 10 minutes from the beginning of the city center and is beside the central station. With all the urban transport lines available.

Very nice and Noble hotel. Right next to the HBH of Munich. The rooms are large and lack of anything.
The beds are very good. The only thing I find a pity is that the prices in the restaurant and the prices of the bar are too expensive. Here the relation to the money is not correct. Would be good if the management takes a thought. Otherwise a top address.

Clean and well maintained hotel in a very convenient location. There were some minor hiccups in the beginning when our room safe wasn't working and sink plunger was stuck however these were remedied swiftly. Room is small but well configured and in great condition. Bed was very comfortable and really loved the spacious shower and hi-tech toilet! Carpark was also spacious and automatic doors helpful for luggage. Staff were friendly, helpful and accommodating as you would expect from a 5 star hotel. Highly recommended and would stay here again without hesitation!

Very good Hotel with great service and in a super accessible place.

The hotel is well located and very beautiful and comfortable, but some of staff were less than pleasant. The front desk agent when I checked-in was more interested in talking to her colleague than checking me in and the concierge was quite rude when I asked direction to the Lufthansa Airport bus. So was the room service lady to whom I spoke after I had to hung up because my through got so dry that I could not speak, once I was able to call back to order her answer was 'WHAT? '. But I have to admit that 1 gentlemen at the front desk was very helpful and I tried to upgrade my internet access and the breakfast staff were very friendly. For a 5 stars hotel, one would expect a 5 stars treatment from all their staff…

I've stayed at this Sofitel about a half dozen times during business trips to Munich. It's elegant, with lovely, comfortable rooms, great workout facilities, and a helpful room-service staff that has always been willing to find me gluten-free vegetarian options. Very close to the train station, and easy access to grocery stores, a few restaurants, and taxis.

We loved it… then a room fragrance was installed and I can't stand it. That's a pity. The breakfast is bombastic and also the ambiance next to the location really impressive.

It is very nice and it is very modern but the rooms are a little small.

The location is very good, the bed is very comfortable, the hot water in the shower is endless, basically satisfied.
The only drawback system, check-out time is very punctual, after 12 o'clock noon, only 6 minutes, the magnetic card immediately opened. You can be a good advanced, but the department is too score.

Brasserie Délice is a decent, easy going restaurant with a laid back style and a nice small bistro-like menu. Service is unpretentious, very friendly and caring. Excellent selection of aged meat. Unfortunately kitchen is not consistently high class and doesn't meet always high expectations of a 5* house.

I expected more from a 5 star hotel. Wouldn't have been bad if it was a 3 or 4 star hotel but I expected top notch service, rooms and amenities and it was simply not there. A server spilled an entire beer on my friend and they didn't even apologize or offer to comp our drinks… She may have been in shock from creating such a mess but the bartender or someone could have stepped in to make things right. Like I said, these type of things shouldn't be happening with a hotel that claims to be 5 STARS. The location is convenient besides the central train station.

Loved it. This hotel is incredibly centrally located (right beside a huge transport station), gorgeous interior, has a spa (no hot tub though! ), and lovely rooms. The staff are also AMAZING. The wonderful, friendly and super helpful lady at reception (Helen) went way above and beyond to help us out when we realized at check in my husband had left his passport in a hotel an hour South of Munich. She was amazing and figured everything out for us! Thank you for making our very last day in Germany so stress free (when it could have been a total nightmare). Would definitely recommend the hotel and will stay here again if we ever have the chance.

The worst hotel ever. I have no idea. How they got 5 stars classification. Unfriendly staff, no professionalism at all and they treat you like if you are staying in 1 star hotel. I asked them to bring me a bottle of water and they simply said "you can drink from the sink" it's drinkable!

Good luxury hotel with a wonderful spa and very good breakfast quality. Rooms are all quiet and Depending on their category very comfortable and designed differently. Bar with great selection. Gym a bit small in comparison to to other luxury hotels in Munich.

Very large Sofitel that still manages to give five star service despite its many guests. I have stayed at this property with my large dog many times and always receive a warm welcome by the doormen and reception staff. I much appreciate their small private dog garden as sometimes the neighbourhood around the train station late at night does not motivate me to go wandering! The breakfast is a not-to-be-missed culinary adventure.

Very nice hotel but personal haughty.

This is a nice, well appointed hotel. It's well located by the train station. However, it's not 5 star quality. The service was slow at times, but over all friendly. Be cautious as some rooms seem to have been refreshed more recently then others, so this might be something to consider on check in.

Were on 10 6th, 2016… only to football look as… the staff was very nice. Especially since we were not guests… very clean and centrally… Toilets super which I very important find… The bar totally beautiful…

You should visit the Café on the ground floor of Cafe well and always with a little sweetness to. Of course doesn't come cheap.

The room was a bit cramped but still nice. Breakfast was very good. Customer service was as expected. The location is great since it's right next to the train station.

One of the best hotels I stayed in. Everything was very high quality from the hotel bar to the hotel rooms. The rooms are very stylish and have a Bose sound system (at least our room did).

We stayed there for almost 3 weeks starting at the 25 of July 2015. ALL of the staff were very supportive to our family and to my ill mother, who came to Munchen for treatment. One particular staff who really helped me was a receptionist called Max. He was super friendly all the time and he stayed on the phone with me for almost 40 min while I was lost in the city at night with no data service on my phone to guide me back to the hotel, that guy should be on a higher position! The restaurant was more than wonderful and I was practically addicted to their food! Thank you so much guys for all the smiles you've given us. We will see later on for sure.

I was unfortunately not a hotel guest, only here for a Conference. The hotel is well maintained and immaculate impression. Staff is super friendly and accommodating. You will be greeted everywhere. Catering for the event was also first class. Super delicious food, ranging from breakfast to coffee and cake in the afternoon. Location is central in addition to the main train station and in the heart of the city. Very good connection to public transportation such as train, Metro, trams, taxis and buses. Highly recommended.

Fantastic hotel next to train station. The staff and quality of service have been amazing. The room was not huge but beautifully decorated (it's all a matter of personal taste though). Great selection of gin at the bar. Only minus is the immediate surroundings, vicinity of central station is not ideal for a romantic evening stroll…

Extremely worst hotel I have visited, staff are unwelcoming, too busy, no attention to details, upon check in, they gave me very bad room facing the wall of next building, after I expressed my disappointment that I didn't like the room, the reception lady showed me even more worst room, even smaller room without bath tub, very unhelpful staff, they gave me the key told me go right upstairs 3rd floor. No explanations about restaurants, breakfast information of tours, no escorting to the room, room is too poor no view, whenever I'm calling the reception lady for adapter or connecting the Wi-Fi, very unhelpful, informed the hotel that the bathtub is totally blocked, not fixed till now, my room was not cleaned until I had to ask at 4:30 pm!

Worst 5 stars hotel experience of my life … My family and myself spent 3 night at the Hotel Sofitel Munich Bayerpost during the first days of September. At the beginning, the room, the staff, everything was fine. However everything changed on the last evening… When I came back into my room, I immediately noticed than one of my own bottles of wine had disappeared … When I exit the room earlier with my wife, the 3 bottles was still there. This means that between the time we left the room and the time we came back into it, somebody took one of my wine bottle! Right away, I contacted the reception and told them what just happened. They of course apologized and put me in contact with the customer relation manager who ask me right away how much cost the bottle and assure me than they will find out what happened. He also told me that because of the different shifts, they have to wait tomorrow morning to investigate the right people and that somebody is going to call me and let me know of the development. Still upset, but having faith in this fine and luxurious hotel, I decide to have a snack. I check the In Room Menu and choose the club sandwich. I order it, and it arrived quickly. I sat on my bed in front of my movie and when I was going to take a bite…! A FREAKING HAIR! Right in the middle of my club sandwich! Obviously a women hair from the length of it… If there is something that disgust me, this is hair!

Second time at this hotel. Extremely well located for business meetings. The hotel has excellent service and very helpful staff.

Dear Sir Robert-Jan WOLTERING! General Manager Sofitel Munich Bayerpost Dear mister! I want to report you that I and my friends will not use to services to the hotel Sofitel, because 09.01.2014 to the year in the period of 19.00-21.00 hours when we were in SPA for me (Safarov Mazahir) room 307 was 1200 euros and Switzerland disappeared hour in a cost 1500 euros, and for my friend (Hamzayeb Museib) room 335 was 70 euros disappeared from a pocket, a new jacket of Armani of cost is 550 euros and pocket-book of cost of 40 евро-new. Administrator after our caused a request to the police, but not what results it was not. Yet we are guilty hardly. For us time very limited we did not could hire advocate and we 11.01.2014 from a morning it was abandoned a year to the hotel. It is eventual case very touched us, and Administrator before us were sorry and all. Because we once again will not be service to the hotel Sofitel. Thank you for attention! With kind regards! Very well-dressed Hotel in an antique case with modern cultivation, very nicely designed. Also, this Hotel is one of the best in Munich. Great Bar, best kitchen, friendly staff, super-equipped rooms. Unfortunately, in the short term hard to book, everything is Occupied.

Luxurious interiors, great Service and great massages. This a very good location (right next to the main train station). The luxury rooms are quite small, but very gracious and admirable. Pure relaxation for the whole day. Especially the Spa is the Spa to praise. Already when you enter the Hotel you realize that this is something very special. I was in a lot of places and very many Hotels, but I am of the here especially excited and for me it is not more from the head.

Its an amazing hotel but becarfull o leave ur stuff in the hotel because 3 years in a raw they stole expensive things from my room while they were cleaning :).

We stayed for over a week and found the staff friendly and the facilities comfortable and inviting. Be sure to unwind in the cozy and unique pool — — the heavy bubbley things massaged our aches after long plane ride. And have a facial! While I see others have complained that it's near the train station, it was actually convenient for us.

Very good quality and preparation of the Bistro restaurant.

We were here with the family for lunch. Elegant ambience, fresh food and attentive service. For absolute luxury restaurant but is missing that certain something, such as, for example, even more sophistication in the preparation of the food.

Very well located Hotel, from there you can enjoy many places of interest by foot. The Hotel is very nice and also very quiet, despite the very Central location. The only negative point I need to attach the I my got car Parking and for the Parking of 28€ per day paid have and for this price I had a covered car Park is, unfortunately, this was not the case.

Great Hotel High quality with a special attention to design. Very nice spa. The rooms are taken care of, both the comforts and the superior. The only negative is the the cost of breakfast, which I consider the 28 euros too expensive. Still great hotel to recommend.
