Hotel

The hotel has two floors of rooms that I found comfortable enough. The bathroom is very large and windowed, with a nice shower (missing the bidet). I didn't find the beds particularly comfortable, but for one night it wasn't a problem. The service at the reception is very courteous and the breakfast had a good choice. Too bad for the absence of air conditioning that in the warmer months could come in handy.

Clean, but rooms are small and the 'warm' water in the bath isn't warm enough.

Have had lunch spontaneously. Super schnitzel and Cordon-Bleu. For my taste, it might tolerate a little less salt. The beer garden is cosy and offers enough shade even in summer.

Driving to the Blue returns at the inn Lerner lunch eaten e. G. Pork fillet with vegetables very tasty and plus a bright very friendly people international guests by the fair in Munich nice little girl under the trees on the line of the house room for rent. But it should always be reserved beforehand.

Super breakfast, nice, neat clean rooms. We liked it very much. Happy again.

Was now eating there for the second time and this by a distance of 3 years — was very good! Not too many dishes — which is pleasant — every quality quality and homemade. Small beer garden, good to park there. Happy again.

We were there on Easter Monday, we were thankfully reserved, otherwise we would not have got a place. That food was really good, that vegetarian as well as the food with meat were delicious. The dishes were priced between 12 and €16, which is very inexpensive for the choice and taste. We will definitely come back.

Small but clean, really close to the brewery and rooms are comfortable but small. Bed is one of the best we’ve slept in Europe with big cushy pillows, incredible water pressure and relatively large shower. Free parking and free breakfast if you purchase the option. Don’t get the patio rooms as they face the main road.

Perfect to interrupt a flight! Very good value for money, very clean rooms, quiet location, nice service, extensive, delicious breakfast and last but not least beds with mattresses on which one wakes up well asleep. The breakfast was very good.

Well run Inn, modern standards in the hotel sector. The kitchen is professionally and structurally operated with good standards. The map of the inn is of the size and content of the hotel, factually according to the requirements of guests. However, the opening hours are always checked to see if a better time window would be useful, which will please all potential guests even better. Enough parking in the immediate vicinity, access for handicapped complicated. Overall quite OK to try out.

Very good food, friendly staff and cheaper lunch dishes with daily changing dishes on offer. I can only recommend the hospitality learner.

The staff is very friendly and helpful, the rooms have an upscale, courted equipment and are clean and well maintained!
The food in the adjoining restaurant is really delicious and affordable.

Wir sind sehr früh angekommen, unser Zimmer wurde mit Priorität gereinigt. Das Personal ist nett, wobei die Dame am Empfang von urbayrischer Kernigkeit erschien. Dennoch sehr freundlich, Zimmer sauber, die Größe ist ok6

Beautiful rooms, great breakfast, perfect location for early flight.

Always pleased at Lerner. It's no bargain and our room was a bit dated, carpet especially, but a great location for fans of the Weihenstephan brewery (since 1040, oldest in the world and fabulous beer) and decent location for getting too Munich airport. Excellent breakfast bar.

If you thought time travelling is impossible, you were all wrong. Go there and welcome to 1989 — the dark german ages of sausages, beer, kraut and men who own woman that are not allowed to work. Meet the locals you wouldn´t want to meet — still gives me heartache I had to leave this nice air of fries, pigfat and smoke. Classic west-german trash museum with prices like today. Way to expansive.

My husband and I stayed two nights in June 2017 at Gasthof Lerner and had a wonderful stay. The room was comfortable, the food was great and the bier garten was superb. The staff answered every question we had from transportation into Munich and the airport, to the accommodations, to things to do and see in Freising, including the Weihenstephan Bier Garten. Johannes is a gem.

Awesome location, being within walking distance of the WORLDS OLDEST FUNCTIONING BREWERY! Awesome food there! (Get the Spezi). Hotel was very nice, but pillows could be a little firmer. Very good place to stay if you need to go to the airport the next day.

Gasthof Lerner is a little hotel set in Freising, near Munich Airport. Rooms are not big but are really clean and comfortable. There is a dinner room too, used even for breakfast and lunch.

Everything in this cozy hotel was great. You could tell it was family-owned, family-run by how nice everyone was. It just had that special touch that made you feel truly welcomed as opposed to the at times fake/forced welcome at the chains. The food at the restaurant was fantastic and the portions large for European standards. Room was very clean and pretty large.

Excellent communication and instructions on getting to the hotel. The hotelier waited up for our after-midnight arrival!

Very friendly welcome, clean room, very good breakfast buffet. The Lady of the breakfast service was very attentive. All modern and friendly, but also traditionally furnished. As in most of the hotels for the back of my wife a hard mattress. Wishes or ideas were however seriously. We're going again, only next time during the week, then also the restaurant is open.

Very good service! The location of the hotel is perfect for researchers visiting the university or Fraunhofer institute and also is very close to Munich airport. It is a family run hotel, clean rooms and good Bavarian food. But what makes me rate 5 stars is the friendly staff at the reception. I had a lot of questions regarding the city, travel etc and the the guy at the reception looked happy to answer me everytime I showed up. So if you are of the kinds who don't like to see grumpy faces after a long travel, but rather be greeted with a warm smile, this hotel is a good option in Freising and also the location is unbeatable.
