Great Location and Friendly Customer Service! I stayed here the first week in May this year upon the start of my European vacation. As a former American Expat, this place was always my home-away from home as it is in the heart of the Black Forest. The staff serves a hearty German breakfast and a pot of fresh coffee. The hotel is steps away from the roman Caracalla Spa and pedestrian shopping area. You can walk along the stream down to the Rose Garden and pass by all of the grand old homes and hotels. Whether for a few nights or a whole week, this is a diamond in the rough. Happy Travels!

Room is lovely, very near to the caracalla therme baden.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Ideal location: Terme Caracalla is a 2-minute walk away. Shops and cafes are practically "around the corner". Friendly and welcoming service. On request cooked porridge for children for breakfast, which is very valuable for Russian moms.
The hostess Zoe recommends excellent restaurants in Baden-Baden.

A charming hotel in a great location. Just down the street a little ways from the Friedrichsbad (a highly recommended experience as well). This was our second stay here and we'll be back the next time that we are in Baden-Baden.

Nice hotel with good breakfast. 3 min walk to Caracalla. The only thing is the bed which was not firm enough.

Excellent hotel. Amazing location and very pleasnt staff. The breakfast is delicious and not expensive. Cons: the hotel is old dated and in winter time the room is cold and the heating is not sufficient.

We stayed at the hotel 6 nights during our wedding anniversary. During all days we felt really at home. This is not big, but very warm hotel. The hotel staff is very friendly and provides personal attention to each guest. We observed this not only relative to us, either also to other visitors. Receptionists are always open to give a help to the guests in any subject or question. Even if you don't speak any of multiple languages they know, just show in gestures, what you need. The rooms are clean and quiet. Breakfast is fresh, tasty with variety of food. Hotel location is really in the center of all interests. Few steps from Caracalla and up to 5 minutes walk to any tourist/shopping area We would like to thank each staff person: Zoia, Jasmine, Sebastian and Victoria for their pleasant service. Stayed here from 2nd till 6th Jan… and would definitely book it again if we had to return! Even our 4yr old referred to it as our "holiday house"! Fantastic service from beginning to end… we dealt mainly with Jasmine and she really helped us out a lot… her help made our holiday so much better :) The hotel itself is lovely and is literally a stones throw away from some very good restaurants. All in all a great experience for our first time in Germany!

Fantastic hotel, lovely staff and delicious breakfast — you're a 2 minute walk from the main baths (Friedrichsbad and Caracala) and close to everything else. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Lovely hotel and staff! We will definitely return here for future trips to Baden-Baden. The hotel is ideally located; it is only a 2 minute walk to the spas or the historic Roman ruins, one only needs to walk down a flight of stairs to the next street for a wide array of dining options, and it is only a few minutes farther to get to lovely parks and museums. The room was wonderful, and the breakfast was good.

A pleasant little hotel in the oldest part of town. Rooms are simply furnished and comfortable. It is within walking distance to the 2 thermal spas. They provide towels for guests to the Caracalla Bath too. Very thoughtful indeed. Most importantly, the reception staff are most cordial and helpful. They can speak several languages and always wear a smile! Though there is no elevator in the hotel, it is still manageable with the staircase up the 1st level. Being a hotel garni, the establishment serves breakfast only. A generous buffet breakfast awaits guests. Excellent value for money, I would rate this hotel as outstanding.

Hotel is in a pleasant location. The staff was friendly. The room was however very small, the light switch for the mirror lighting in the bathroom, you had to be looking for. I would not stay at this Hotel. Price-performance isn't quite true for me.

This was one of the best hotel experiences I have ever had! I researched this hotel on line through Trip Advisor but I did contact the hotel via phone as there were three persons in our travel group and I had several questions about the types of rooms available. When I telephoned I was greeted by a very friendly, charming, and extremely helpful young lady named Anita, who spoke excellent English, which was very fortunate as I am American. Anita was able to find the perfect rooms for our group and was able to answer each and every question I posed to her. Upon arrival, everything was exactly as explained to me… the rooms were spacious, very well decorated and clean! I was even assisted in finding excellent restaurants near the hotel for evening meals, and the hotel even made the reservations for us! I think it is extraordinary to find a hotel that exceeds your expectations… and this hotel absolutely did! Thank you Hotel Rathausglockel!

We had a wonderful stay at the Hotel Rathausglöckel. The suite room was absolutely beautiful, the breakfasts were delicious, and Sebastian and Anita were helpful and gracious hosts. -Benjamin and Kate.

I like this hotel very much! The perfect location — just a few steps to all main activities in Baden Baden — about 100 meters to Friedrichsbad and Caracalla Therme. Convenient car parking. Very nice breakfast — hot and cold dishes including smoked salmon. There are several very good restaurants nearby. The staff is very friendly. Just ask them if you need any help.

In the Centre, but away from traffic or any noises, a hotel with clean rooms, spacious and elegant. Staff extremely friendly and helpful at reception and a high quality restaurant. A must try.

Nice "quaint" Hotel, with winding staircases. Very friendly, obliging staff. A great advantage of the proximity to the Caracalla, only a short walk away. The food was not quite as convincing, but the Restaurant was at the time, completely Packed, maybe it lags. Otherwise I would have 5 stars.

Great hotel, superb food and fantastic service. Would highly recommend it.

The wild garlic soup was very good, the pork main dish with Spätzle was good. It took far too long for the food to arrive and the staff made no effort to speak English.

Very convenient location to both bath houses as well as shopping district. Nice view of city and a very good, reasonably priced restaurant. Staff very helpful and accomodating. Parking a bit of a challenge but you can drive in from north to drop off luggage and then park next to the gradeschool. A good value for the money. Wish we stayed more than one night.

We stayed for one night, and had a wonderful stay. The staff was very accomodating, helped with our luggage, and gave us a parking card to park our car around the corner in the underground lot. The location can't be beat — right next to the spas, a block from the shops and restaurants, and up on a hill with views of the city. The check-in staff was a young woman with lots of enthusiasm and very helpful with directions, maps, and helping us figure out where to go to buy a cuckoo clock for my mother (Triberg! ). The room and bathroom are both very spacious and comfortable, and the breakfast was plentiful and excellent.

Great little hotel, right in the historic centre, everything is within reach. The restaurant is an insider tip in Baden Baden, super nice service, delicious regional wines, regional dishes. Had better make reservation lucky enough to get a table.
