Review of Hotel Merkur - Superior 3*

Our recommendation: Baden-Baden and Hotel Merkur Hotel Merkur is located very centrally – but nevertheless in a relatively quiet location – in downtown Baden-Baden. However, when a hotel is situated in a densely built-up city centre, the noise of one or two guests returning home late in the evening cannot always be avoided. We were able to reach all of the sights within 10 minutes on foot. If you park your car in the hotel's own garage, you have to hand in your car key at the hotel reception, as the cars are moved by the hotel staff to make the parking more efficient. We didn't have any problem with that and everything worked fine. On our departure our car was made available to us within 2-3 minutes. The rooms are modern, very attractive and the harmonious colours exude a pleasant atmosphere. The level of cleanliness also left nothing to be desired. The WLAN was fast and free of charge. In addition to more than 100 international TV channels, several SKY programmes were also available without payment. Another positive feature is the hotel's excellent restaurant and the very good breakfast buffet. The staff were very friendly at all times and are happy to take the time to explain the city map in detail and give tips on Baden-Baden. We enjoyed our stay in Baden-Baden very much, with Hotel Merkur also making a not insignificant contribution towards this. We will certainly be coming back to Baden-Baden and staying at Hotel Merkur again. We felt very comfortable at Hotel Merkur and can therefore recommend the hotel without any reservations.
