A lot of people mentioned the museum is somehow one-sided about Stalin. But there really is a room (1 st floor, to the right of the stairs) exhibiting the history of large cleaning and massacre launched by Stalin. Guide will not lead people to the room, but tourist can check it by yourselves. I think it's fully understandable that people from such a small town like Gori still enjoy the fact that a world-level politician was born and raised here. At least, they don't need to feel sorry about it.
I was a bit underwhelmed by the place. Enormous number of photographs of Stalin looking important, meeting important people and shaking hands. There is only a small amount of English translation, but enough to get the one-sided gist of the place.
