Sorry to indulge with the standard cliches about French Polynesia but this lodge is truly a piece of paradise at the end of the world. The rooms and bungalows were recently renovated, the meals are awesome (Robert is a fantastic and passionate cook) and the location is impossible to beat: surrounded by turquoise water with beautiful sandy beaches all for yourself. There is NOBODY in a 15km radius. In May-April, you could find yourself being the only guests in the lodge… OK, probably not ideal if you want to dive in the pass everyday but totally fine if you want to dive once or twice. Local snorkeling is gorgeous especially if you kayak about two motus to the north. It's like the Kia Ora Sauvage in Rangiroa for half the price…
