A beautiful setting with attentive and friendly staff. I highly recommend the Villa with private pool. The restaurant and the bar are also excellent The cuisine is local but with a flare We went fishing and caught some beautiful fish and chef Rousseau kindly prepared for us in different styles for 2 days This is our second time here and we noticed it has not lost any of the qualities we enjoyed before We highly recommend it.

The estate is huge, the place is magical, the people adorable, the Bungalows majestic, the restaurant-bar deserves its stars, beautiful diversities of excursions proposed, everything is there! The breathtaking turquoise lagoon. One of the most beautiful hotels I have ever known! The best is to stay at least 3 nights so many beautiful things to see. We loved ♥️ Mauruuru roa KIA ORA RANGIROA ♥️

Everything was perfect. The welcome, the service in the room or restaurant, the friendliness of the staff and especially its menu of the restaurant which in a remote island like Rangiroa, the products are of quality and the cuisine is excellent. Congratulations to the chef who has made his menu a farandole of exceptional and quality dishes for a very reasonable pricing… I would recommend this hotel.

Where to start? The setting is spectacular. I miss taking meals at the open restaurant while staring out at the water!
The rooms are very nice and quite comfortable. The villa with pool was lovely. Enjoyed bathing outside at night staring at the stars.
The over water bungalows have that view. You really have to see it.
The staff are very friendly and the level of service is amazing!
Snorkelling is great right off the shore. Loved going to the pass to see the dolphins.

Best hotel on the island. Beautiful diving and snorkeling island otherwise very low key. Top Dive on sight but 4 other dive shops within 5 minutes walk. Spa had nice treatments. Beautiful Infiniti pool, nice Polynesian cocktail bar.

After we left Bora Bora we thought we couldn’t love any place as much. Boy were we wrong! The Kia Ora is spectacular! The beach is beautiful and the water is incredible everywhere on the property.
The food was fantastic. As a family of vegetarians (one vegan and one gluten free to boot) we were amazed at how much effort they put into making our experience a wonderful one.
The dive operation on the property, Top Dive, was fantastic. We loved the dive masters— all 3 that we dived with. They were fun and safe: just what you want.
I highly recommend this resort. We were here for our honeymoon 28 years ago and this was our first time back, this time with our kids.

Water bungalows with fantastic views and almost no mosquitoes. Gourmet restaurant fantastic. Great bar over the water. Nice staff. Amazing. The water bungalows were completely remade about 6 years ago. The beach bungalows have been recently renovated and look new all round.
The dive center Top Dive is in the facility and has Nitrox. Good diving guides are Hithi, Yannik and Nicolas Bernard when, for once, he's around. Sophie, the receptionist at TopDive, is lovely and does her job perfectly.
The hotel is located in a large environment with grass and palm trees and white beach.

We were there from 13th to 16th October 2016 for our honeymoon.
Also thanks to them we can say that they loved Rangiroa and continue to dream about it.
Ours was a very spacious bungalow, with garden/private beach area and Jacuzzi just outside the window door placed at the side of the bed.
All the rooms were extremely clean and cared for and the restaurant has always delighted us with excellent food and wines (only the slowness of the service, but at the level of overall judgement can not affect our very positive experience).
The sea is extraordinary and populated by various types of aquatic fauna.
To note the presence inside the Resort of the diving company Top Dive, thanks to which we were able to perform our baptism by diving in waters among the richest aquatic fauna of the planet (there are species present only here).
Among the excursions proposed, the tide did not allow us to make that to the pink sands, but we more than compensated by visiting the terrestrial paradise of the Blue Lagoon and bathing with lemon sharks and black fin.
We left the heart in Rangiroa and if we had the extraordinary fortune to return, the Kia will now remain our choice.

Quiet, quality of services, location.

Very skimpy hotel with all the amenities.

I liked this resort because it is quite simple compared to that you can find in Bora Bora. Breakfast and dinner are fairly good even if quite expensive. Staff was nice. Bungalow are on the water and water is really fantastic. We did not use their diving center but the other dive center which 200 m far away from the hotel and which was suggested by our dive master in Italy. We really get great time with them and the diving in the pass in amazing you can see whatever fish you like and hopefully meeting dauphins at 30 / 40 m down in the water. A very great experience. I would like to come back there!

Mine is not a recent review as seen from the photos but anyway Rangiroa is unique. The Kyora a little less, although reading the reviews has definitely deteriorated, the feeling for us Italians not to be appreciated is palpable, however an unforgettable experience for nature, the resort does not have large beach but the view you have from the pier you can Quietly do without the beach, the staff is helpful and always polite. The hike to the Blue Lagoon is still in my mind after years, a paradise. Great dives near the pass, quantity of small sharks never seen compared to Maldives and Australia, ditto in excursions, the most beautiful of the islands (Atoll) I have seen in Polynesia.

Stayed here for the first time and it is amazing. The hotel has all the amenities you need, the rooms are clean and the service is outstanding. They will cater to all your needs to make sure you are happy. Their welcome at the airport and their farewell when you leave will make you never want to leave this paradise.

Amazing location hotel seems tired and food just fine.

I struggle with writing this review. I'd like to give 3 stars. I just can't justify it. Let's start with the main issue, deferred maintenance at the property. We reserved an over water bungalow, which is advertised on their website as air conditioned. There is an air conditioning unit, and it was running; however, average daytime temperatures in the room were 83 degrees (28c) when it was approximately 86 (30c) outside. The average nighttime temperatures in the room were 79 degrees (26c). Immediately upon arrival, we requested someone from engineering to come look at the a/c unit. No one came. Several hours later, we made a second request with the front desk. Finally, that evening someone came, looked at the unit and left without fixing anything or communicating with us. The next day, I stopped by and asked to speak with the general manager about the problem. I was told that he was not available. I requested again that someone look at our a/c unit. While I was out, someone did stop by and told my wife that "it was working properly. " We were never offered alternative accommodations or contacted by anyone from the hotel staff or the general manager to see if our issue was resolved. It most certainly was not. We were extremely uncomfortable in our room and no one seemed to care. So, we made arrangements to leave the property after 3 nights of a pre-paid 6 night stay.

We were there one night for a couple of dives. The whole time we were there they were burning leaves/ garbage. It was bad. Eyes were bloodshot by the end and 2 of the 6 people with us couldn't leave the hotel room. When I mentioned the issue to the reception they didn't seem to care. Even our scuba masked smelt like smoke. The rooms were nice but please take your leaves/garbage and burn them off the grounds or not on a windy day up wind…

The location was excellent and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended. The Good Beach.

Beautiful! My room was one of those with a small private pool… a wonder to get up in the morning and dive directly into the water!

The Kia Ora is the best place we have stayed in the last 15 years. We have stayed twice in over water bungalows with windows in the floor so you are always close to the sea. The rooms are well furnished with a private balcony with steps to a bathing platform just for your use. The bathrooms were refurbished recently and are well up to standard. The restaurant is excellent and the bar well stocked with prices below rip-off Papeete. The staff are all friendly and the hotel grounds are beautifully kept. The dive centre is excellent with pass flying in Tiputa Pass just around the corner. You can hire bicycles to tour the island. What else can I say? We love the place!

Great food and relaxed experience. It's not luxury so much as it is elegant and authentic.

Paradise. The best resort in Rangiroa.

We recently returned to the U. S. From a 10 day vacation in Tahiti; 4 days at the InterContinental Tahiti Resort on Tahiti, 3 nights at the Tikehau Pearl Beach Resort on Tikehau, and 3 nights at the Hotel Kia Ora Resort & Spa on Rangiroa. Although we absolutely LOVED our entire stay in Tahiti which is a truly magical and beautiful place, our least favorite stay was at the Hotel Kia Ora Resort by a long shot. The bad news is this was all driven by the staff and business practices. The hotel and rooms were simply OK, least favorite of the three resorts where we stayed. One thing that really set the tone was the head waiter at the restaurant which you typically frequent several times a day given the limited local options of the small island. Even worse, we always got the same waiter who was neither friendly nor courteous but instead regularly short, mostly arrogant, and unresponsive to requests. It was a real turn off daily to a point where it was almost comical. This was further exacerbated by the hotel’s policy of having you sign the meal check before you even ordered with no validation of charges or sign off after your meal. Your only receipt validation was during hotel checkout where we caught numerous errors and overcharges. We did call these out and they were promptly corrected but the policy and process overall was a bit weird. Their meal prices were also higher than we experienced at the other resorts.

My wife and I just did a 1 week stay at this resort for our 4 year anniversary.
Their shuttle picked us up at the small airport and brought us to their beautiful front lobby area where we were met with smiles, a warm welcome, a flower lei, cold juice and a cold wipe towel.
Check in was fast, easy and effortless, we were then driven by electric cart to our Pool Villa Bungalow.
Upon opening the door and entering, we immediately could see that the bungalow was tidy, clean, well furnished and exceeded our expectations of quality. We were very pleased to say the least.
The grounds are beautifully maintained with a full time matinence crew always making sure everything is as it should be. Just a gorgeous place with a well manicured landscape, my wife was able to pick fresh plumeria flowers for her hair everyday.
The French cuisine based, on site restaurant and bar far exceeds what we expected.
Service and staff treated us like VIP.
The entire resort staff always greeted us with warm vibe and nice manners.
Not once were we ever made felt that they didn't care about the quality of our stay.
To sum it up. From the beginning to the end of our stay at the Kia Ora Resort, We sincerily must say that it was a total pleasure and exceeded our expectations and vision.
My wife and I would definitely book a vacation there again.

Enjoyed my stay here, you have to expect insects every place you stay.

Not very well maintained resort in Rangiroa. The beach villas are not completely sealed therefore insects and small animals can easily enter. The staff is nice and helpful. Majority of the food and drinks are good, but expensive. There is basically no, few umbrellas and sunbeds close to the pool.

1estrellaEverything was perfect until a problem occurred. There is when you see the real faces and professionalism of the management. They gave us a bungalow infested with cockroach! After 2 nights of no sleeping they changed us to a "superior" bungalow for the last night. Only because it was the only place where they could guarantee no such insects. After our complains, they first argued that we might confuse the cockroach with some other insect. After showing pictures and videos of them was argued that they were typical an healthy local animals in Rangiroa (?! ). Was worst the way in which the director of the hotel (Gerard) treated us and managed the situation than the infestation itself. Hopefully no one have a problem in the Kia Ora. Because everything is perfect and kind until you have a problem. In that moment, they stop being nice, they have no commitment to the client and 0 empathy. I was a horrible experience that I wish to no one.

Dream place, great food, wonderful staff especially Miriama and Cinthia, inaccurate room cleaning for the cost!

It was the perfect location for our honeymoon: beautiful, great staff, lots of activities and secluded :)

If heaven exists must surely be close by.

It's been recently renovated. Has many nice and expensive. Don't rent them scooter is a wheelbarrow and costs an eye.
