Great hotel, private beach not among the best in Bora Bora but with all the amenities.
Being immersed in nature is not to worry if you find insects, gecks, cats and small pigeons.

Staff very friendly and helpful, the setting is idyllic but the services of the Bungalow are to be reviewed. Flat also on the restaurant.

The Hotel Sofitel Bora Bora Marara Beach Resort is the perfect place to relax and have tons of fun. We stayed there on our last trip to Bora Bora, and I cannot think of a better place on the island: great beach, snorkeling, easy access to motus, beautiful garden rooms, fantastic food, and much more.

It needs renovation. Some facilities in poor condition. Poor service.

Good value for money for this luxury in Bora Bora. Possibility of a private transfer but not obligatory from the airport with typical welcome on the pontoon. Many paid activities offered such as scuba diving but few activities offered like paddle. Nice bungalows close to a small but sufficient beach. Nice pools facing the lagoon. Breakfast was very good.

Family friendly and quiet. Need to improve a little servici.

This was the most AWSOME experience our accommodation was out over the sea. There is just nothing negative to say only positive. We even had rain like we have never seen before. Wouldn't change a thing. If you ever get the chance to go you would only have the most amazing memories to keep close for ever.

The Resort is conveniently located and has breath taking scenery. The staff is beyond phenomenal. EVERYONE is friendly and goes above and beyond to make sure you are comfortable and have everything you need. HIGHLY recommended!

The scenery is unparalleled spectacular you can't describe it with words. Very good service and rich food. The only bad thing is that in booking says they speak Spanish and it is not so but still we understand with them.

It was a very nice hotel. The only problem, when C is wind the wool of the roofs falls to the ground.
Everyone is very kind.
The chef is very good and the sweets are great.
The breakfast is very varied, you find everything.
The Sofitel's beach is very small, but there is a public beach a 10-minute walk away.

Beautiful Overwaterbungalows… every TSG will fie drinks… Unfortunately the food is not worth the expensive prices… dear to the Maitai rüberlaufen… there we ate top… In the Sofitel ravioli ordered FPR 35Euro… 4 ravioli on a Dosengaften sauce… where please idt the Gold verstzeckt… urgently learn to cook again…

Friendly & fun staff. But pillows are stinky. Probably from all the previous customers sleeping on them with wet hair.

Spent some of our honeymoon here over Christmas 2016. We had the best time. The resort is definitely showing signs of age and is in need of some renovations. In the end we weren't there for the hotel room, we were there for the view and it can't be beat from the Sofitel Marara.

It's a quiet place. Ideal for couples. They offer romantic dinner for couples and dinner show. It has a paradisiacal view. Very good attention. Very full breakfast. The rooms and the bathroom are very well equipped, are very complete, are spacious and comfortable, there is a minibar free of charge and for coffee or tea, only charge the snacks, beautiful view from the balcony and the interior of the room. On the beach you have to tread carefully because the corals can cut you. I recommend wearing closed shoes to get into the water. The staff speaks French and English. There is a boat Q you can cross to the Sofitel Marar to use your facilities whenever you want or to go downtown. You can do multiple activities and the hotel offers you the necessary for this, eg snorkel, kayak, etc. For sunbathing there are many Canmasteros and towels. I recommend it!

The best day in my life! Great place! we went to the sofitel pivate island and we had good food drinks and snorkle its a real paradise // el mejor día de mi vida! Espectacular! Fuimos a la playa privada de sofitel es soñada con buena comida tragos y snorkle es un paraíso.

Excellent hotel, excellent location, excellent service of the perasonal. At the entrance we had difficulties with the reservation and the management resolved very favorably the problem. The breakfast an absolute 10 with a great variety of choices and the excellent dinner. There is buffet twice a week and show included. Food suitable for celiacs available. There is internet in all the facilities and it works perfect. They offer free water every day.

Tupendo Place, good food, distracted staff, moolta slowness in serving.

Amazing stay. The look and feel of the place is stunning. Customer service was excellent. We'd love to get back for a few more days.

Exceptional staff, great coral garden, very good activity desk. Renovation is ongoing, so the somewhat tired facilities should soon be better.

While there are nicer resorts in Bora Bora the service is great at the Sofitel. Our over water bungalow was damaged in a storm but the hotel made every effort to accommodate us. They put us in the best bungalow available, refunded any cost differences, and took extra special care of us. We were very happy in spite of the change in room.

Beautiful hotel and location! Great welcome! But customer service throughout kinda sucked. Breakfast was terrible and terrible service through it.

For half holiday we had cockroaches in the bed… otherwise the place is nice, the beach is very small so the sun disappears too early. But we still could not forgive for the cockroaches, too bad because they ate well. This happened in 2011 now I do not know if they have solved.

This is the island of wonders, where everyone would be at least once in your life, and my wife and I had the privilege to go on their honeymoon in 2012. A place to dream, the photos do not do it justice. I often dream to get back there again.

Heaven on Earth exists … and I want to go back there! Everything wonderful, wonderful staff, excellent food!

C not bad for a weekend!

Celebrated out 30th year anniversary, stayed in OTW got sun all the time it was shining. Did the Romantic dinner — it was ah Romantic… the views were awesome from the top of the Private Island. Took the kayak across towards the private island and snorkeled at the coral gardens, snorkel TREAT! Rented a boat to check out all the other OTW bungalows along the motu while spying flying fish and excellent views of Mt Ote. A short walk to Matira beach, swimming with the rays was also a wonderful surprise. Met awesome couples, from Chicago and Quebec-keep it up and you'll celebrate your 30th too! The staff was AWESOME! Loved Anita! Must add, before going, checked the weather and EVERYDAY, the forecast reported THUNDERSHOWERS! WELL — as you can see from my review — NOT! So enjoy Bora Bora as my husband and I truly did. (Miss feeding the fish already) Unforgettable!

Best month of my life! I originally planned to stay here for one week. Ended up staying for a month! it was the most incredible time I've ever had in my life, peaceful and quite. Just what I needed at the time. I stayed at the club Med which is no longer there but the entire island was where I actually felt I was. Took a jeep tour through the jungle, talked to the locals spent time in little tiny grocery stores along the side of the road and never felt more at home. At the end of each week I kept calling my travel agent and requesting one more week please! I arrived after spending a few weeks in the Caribbean. As much as I love the Caribbean for their diving and snorkeling you can't beat Bora Bora. If it's on your bucket list please move it to the top you will not be disappointed.

Had a great honeymoon! Stayed in both beach and overwater bungalows. Loved the overwater one but both were nice. Lots of Sex! But no warm water (besides the ocean) can't wait to return!
