Good transit hotel, with a really good breakfast. A little old and a little dirty, though. We had numerous spider webs in our room. Actually a problem that can be solved quickly.

I like this chain because you can book large suites with microwaves and areas your kids can curtain off. This one is convenient for Eurotunnel and the ferries and has friendly and helpful staff.

Good cheap hotel if you book in advance. Clean rooms. Good restaurant and bar. Only 5 minutes from Shuttle terminal. Ample free parking.

It's cheap and cheerful. Basic but clean and tidy. It's just what you need really if your only there to sleep. We managed to dine in the restaurant in the Ibis over the road so that saved us a drive into Calais.

Good place. Lots of police habitation in there. Put the price higher than what it is. Nerving. Internet is too slow this days.

Nice clean hotel very handy for those entering France from the eurotunnel. Our room was nice and clean with every thing that you would expect for the price and very handy for the many shops in the surrounding areas. My only complaint would be that we were ignored by a member of staff in the bar who decided to serve the customer who pushed in front of us first and also on another occasion no one was able to get us any ice to refresh our drink for the evening. I really would have though that ice would have been a staple stock item in such a large hotel. On the whole though very good.

Hotel MAGNIFIQUE! I spent a stay at the top. A very good welcome, spacious clean suites with optimal comfort. I recommend this hotel with your eyes closed! 10/10 for breakfast. Oh yes there's a gym!

Not worth the money. To expensive for what you get. As a regular beer of According hotels I was disappointed in this 4 star Hotel!. It looked like prison from outside. The local riot police use it as base for the tunnel. It's squeezed between two Acor budget hotels. No restaurant. Or decent facilities. Room was clean and big and tidy. Tv English channels did not work reception said it was the hot weather… which was wierd as it was only about 21 outside. For nearly 200 euro a night the only saving grace was the location of the tunnel. You can get the same for 70 euro in a lot if places.

For what it is. (a cheap crash pad for a night) it works fine. I wouldn't recommend the breakfast for anything but the most simple needs. I'm picky in not liking plastic cutlery. The shower was good, bed was good, reception was friendly when we arrived. The lack of aircon on the hottest day of the year grated a little but hey it does say budget. I also think the automated check in for late arrivals could prove very useful especially after a 12hr journey from hell… We use the three hotel complex it's on to bookend long journeys to negate the time pressures of fixed crossing times and for that this hotel works fine.

All the usual Novotel standards. Near tunnel and 20mins from Calais ferry. Restaurants available in Citi Europe shopping centre. Caters for families and business.

The rooms are very spacious and especially very comfortable. Breakfast manages to surprise us by mixing classic and very innovative elements. The team is friendly as in many hotels but it has the advantage of being very professional. The free on-demand movies that's the little extra that convinced me. Thanks to Emilie and her entire team.

Excellent stay at your top breakfast, all-you-can-eat and very good. The bedding, what to say We slept wonderfully well.
As for the novotel team suite always as nice. Good continuation and see you very soon.

Thank you to all the staff for this warm welcome, the atmosphere is impeccable especially in this period, football "World Cup": challenge, flags. Breakfast always as perfect and at will with employees at the top as well as rooms always as clean. Again a big thank you to the whole team.

This is the budget hotel. No frills to be expected. But perfectly adequate for an overnight stay when coming from a late train from the UK. They do serve breakfast but I never use that. Prepare for lots of automation and self service. Parking is fenced off.

Very well. The room is a small apartment.
It's just that you don't find yourself with the many switches and the many lamps in the room. When you're looking to light a particular lamp it's a track game!
Fortunately there is a general switch at the entrance. It's easier to turn everything on and use only that one.

Terrible place never stay here. My room was dirty with mould around window. Broken toilet seat. Very noisy. Bad bad bad.

Great staff, very comfy bed. Decent breakfast although a hotel so close to the tunnel should consider providing English breakfast as well as continental. Where did you buy your loo paper from? Probably recycled but not of the class of the hotel! Will stay here again as good value and comfortable.

Best Ibis Budget I have used this year. All lights working, friendly reception. Shame about the midge invasion (had to keep window closed overnight and when leaving the room).

Cheap stay right beside channel tunnel and close to ferry. No frills. Shower cubicle opens on to bedroom area. Rooms are clean but basic. Equipped with double bed with single bunk across (mind your head! )

Excellent location for the tunnel & is dog-friendly. It's a good, clean hotel with friendly staff. The pricing is high for a hotel of this standard & the restaurant is certainly expensive for what is basic food.

The hotel is very good for the price. The air conditioning was not working but I am sure that a passage to the reception would have solved the problem because the staff is very friendly!

Used to be excellent. Safe not working, and no movies etc like there used to be. Paid for premium room, but front of hotel, ground floor with lots of traffic noise. Used every year for many years (used to love it), but prices keep rising and facilities get less and less.

The automated check-in process worked fine but the room we were allocated had not been cleaned. Used bedsheets, used towels, rubbish in the bin, etc. We had to use the intercom to call the call centre who were not able to contact the night manager. We were asked to wait and after 5 mind the manageress appeared to verify our room was indeed dirty. After a few more minutes we were finally allocated a room that was ready. From then on the stay was fine. Basic but comfortable. The breakfast was also basic but reasonable quality and pretty good value.

Simple but clean hotel, which is absolutely sufficient for a night.

Great hotel as most of Ibis are. Standard, clean, easy check in and out, a lot of parking spaces and very convenient shoppings around.

Room on the ground floor noisy, we listen to the cars pass without stopping on the road in front of the room.

For me it's more a 3 *, see 2, than a 4 *… (Wood bathroom doors inflated by water, toilets and bathroom are white plastic prefabricated not at all from the level of a 4 *, micro-wave of the years 90 which totally denotes with the style of the room, rough robe unpleasant to wear, single size slippers in which my feet did not fit, some TV channels freeze every 10 seconds, coffee or chocolate paid at the bar during the day when they come from the same machine as for breakfast, …)

Basic but expected. Price was as expected. Ideal for placement next to channel tunnel entrance. Please note that if arriving after 8pm then you must use the automated check in service as there are no staff at reception. Fairly straight forward but was a shock to some other guests who were arriving after us. Rooms are accessed via a 6 digit code on a keypad that is on your room door, there are no keys or swipe cards. The code will be displayed on your check in receipt that you get from the machine. Hopefully this review will at least give you the heads up of what to expect.

For the price, the room is more than spacious, we have to spend only one night but we slept very well. Good value for money.

Perfectly ok hotel for a budget overnight stay. This hotel is located perfectly when leaving the tunnel, making it possible to have an early start the next day when travelling into Europe. Ibis has more expensive and luxurious options in the same place.

Stay here every time we come to Calais. Lovely, comfortable room, lots of space. 5 mins from the Tunnel and 2 mins from Cite Europe. Perfect.

Check in machine down, no personel to help out, much noise when opening the window, smelly toilet, cheap and worn out bed matrasses. Renovation highly recommended.

I would recommend this hotel with eyes closed. The rooms are superb as well as the various services (gym, bar, etc…) And the breakfast is the most comprehensive and good of all the hotel I have ever done. When the staff at the top!

Best value for money, clean room, hot shower, great value breakfast for 5 euro. If you're simply having to overnight before getting on the tunnel you can't go wrong. If you've forgotten to get your pet's worming injection you can even book in with your dog while you wait 24 hours for the treatment to take effect.

An out-of-pair hotel, downgraded. My stay was at the level of my expectations see better, with a gourmet and delicious breakfast. The comfort is there and the staff is really at the top.

Very good reception. Comfortable bedding but noisy ventilation. Breakfast is good but not enough choice for lactose-free vegetarian diets.

We have been staying here for years and have always been satisfied. Is particularly cheap if you want to travel through the tunnel to England by car trip.

Definitely a good place to stay. Very quiet considering it's next to Cité Europe. Room facilities are great choice maker, kettle, microwave, large TV, bath, shower, take, chairs and sofa. Include the breakfast and is definitely worth the cost.

An excellent hotel, just the place to stay either before or after a long drive. Also, the staff are so friendly and efficient. We have stayed before and we shall certainly stay again.

Very nice hotel very well located with catering at 5 minutes, spacious room and very clean, breakfast at will, staff very warm and welcoming I recommend.

Nice hotel with a nice reception hall. The decor of the rooms is a bit old-fashioned is very basic (white plaster and wooden furniture).
The rooms are well soundproof and the hotel is quite quiet.
It is located in front of the shopping center Europe which makes it easy to exit.
A small downside for some employees frankly cold and just polite.

Stopped over for a night. Nice hotel. Rooms are clean and the shower is great. The heating didn’t seem to be working very well but reception provided a small heater that was perfect. Didn’t eat in the hotel but the food did look good and the restaurant was quite busy. Last year stayed at the Holiday inn around the. Order but to be honest this hotel is far better. If you want a drink I would suggest going to the pub over in the shopping Centre as the drinks are quite expensive in here. The car park is secure so no issues with parking. Staff very helpful. We will be back.

Loved the automated check-in option. Bed was quite firm, pillow thin, drain in my shower stank horrendous. It's a budget compact room, you get what you pay for.

Very nice hotel, well soundproofed room. Regular cleaning, ready for bath linen and bath Foam. Suites sober and pretty, comfortable, same bed, attentive staff and polite, speaking several languages. Bus service in front of the hotel conveniently located not far from Carrefour and Outlet.

Nice place and a nice change from the normal Ibis budgets we stay In! Could have done with a few more tea bags in the room (only 1) but on the whole a nice place. Some really nice restaurants across the road too — the Parisian was excellent.

Awful hotel. No soundproofing in rooms from corridor. Booked two rooms, both absolutely stank of smoke, despite smoking being banned. Dubious stains on hard bedding.

Rooms and fine and it's very near the terminal. Go out for food though, I had the steak and it was the worst I've ever had in my entire life.

Three star hotel. Comfortable beds, good size room, just let down by no tea/coffee facilities in room. Easy walk to shopping, restaurants and cinema.

Very clean, upscale hotel with bi-lingual staff who are very polite. The room I stayed in was very clean and tiny, and had a wall mounted hair dryer in the shower. I didn't use it, but there is also free Wi-Fi in the room, too. I am however disappointed with the breakfast. Its an extra €10 as it's not included in your stay price, and it's not at all worth €10, in my opinion.

Good hotel with great value for money, very clean room and extremely spacious for a family of four. Great beds and pillows. They accept dogs. Not recommended the restaurant.

Very good price. Great location. Great shower. Just what we needed with out spending a lot.

Very basic. Though you get what you pay for. Rooms are small but do have toilet and shower facilities. No drink facilities in room. Flat pillows. Frayed bedding especially on bunk bed pack. Double bed with single over the top. No good for larger families unless you are happy to book additional rooms.

The Ibis lately seem expensive to me for what they are. Not bad but there are chains that offer the same or even better and better price.

Booked last minute because of a mix up with documents for our vet to travel. Staff really friendly. Upgraded us to a larger suite at no extra cost. Room was really large and spacious with free mini bar.

We always stay overnight here when we go to France and this last trip (we are in Holland to see André Rieu). It breaks up the journey and helps as I don't travel well. The staff are always very helpful and polite. The beds are comfortable and the adapted bathroom is also very good.

Very nice chic hotel. Room was small and basic but comfortable. Breakfast buffet looked enticing, but we got downstairs too late to try it.

If you need a bed for the night and your own bathroom facilities this does the job. Clean, bed comfortable, not much more room than to sleep but the room does have a double and also a single bunk bed. Close to Citie Europe, the Tunnel, Designer Outlet and Auchan. As long as you have your booking ref you can book in at any time — we arrived at 02:00 and it worked fine. Friendly staff and good breakfast on offer for €6 per person. Plenty of parking.

The hotel was a life saver after the Eurotunnel staff refused to allow my dog through, they claimed the passport was filled in wrong but that's rubbish… So stuck in Calais Ibis budget came up trumps! Clean cheap room, very helpful staff on reception called local vets for me and generally helped me sort the situation out. To all other reviewers, this is a budget 2star hotel and you are not that silly hotel inspector from the television… Quick, easy and unfussy stop over hotel perfect. Once again thank you to the staff for all the assistance, I don't know any French only English and Italian.

Very basic hotel, but it's good if you need to take the ferry the morning after, as it's less than 15 minutes from the car terminal. Large and secure parking lot, and friendly staff. Breakfast is ok, but not included in the room rate.

Friendly staff. Stayed for a night, rooms are clean and very modern. Loved the new shower pods.

Often stay here when using the car in France. Simple to find, convenient, great staff, and have beer. When I've dined here, it has been good.

Great location near the tunnel. We use it to stay over before we head further into Europe. Breakfast is great, rooms are great and the staff are fantastic. Secure car park is also very good.

Brilliantly located clean and friendly hotel for good money if you book in advance. Don't expect luxury, but friendly staff and decent rooms ensure a good stay. My 5th visit here.

This was not our first stay, we stayed 1 night 25th may. The problem we had was a cold room (115) reception told us there were no heating on in the hotel. However they would provide a heater upon request, so we accepted the heater. During the night and early morning we where kept awake by a noise which we found out was the entrance sliding doors, we realised we were over the main reception are (end room). Breakfast was a little expensive, extra cost. It was the first time we had noticed that the hotel excepted dogs, dont think we will stay again. Staff were pleasant.

Now an Ibis Budget hotel, still the basic hotel when it was called Etap, no carpet in the rooms now and refurbished, staff all very friendly and helpful, good location for the tunnel, the beach (by car) and shopping. Could do with a new toilet seat.

Only downside: the restaurant which is absent. The breakfast is very very small. There is more nothing other than some fruit and rolls. Then, the English who would like to discover French food should go elsewhere. In fact, next there an Etap who has more things to offer breakfast, cheaper and also own.
