After booking from a hotel of the same group when we arrived we were told it was complete. Very bad organization by the ibis group. The reservation was not attended to, but visa hasn't released my money yet. Shame on you!

All right but too long service with a toddler. Difficult to hold it in place.

Impeccable service, nothing to say about the staff, air conditioning in the rooms, original breakfast that happens in the short straw that is connected to the hotel and that is very greedy!

Full value for money! If you are looking a bed for the night during a road trip to Spain or South of France, this is perfect! But do not expect anythibg close to luxury!

A seat for 2 in the room which is quite large and clean. Not even a small bottle of water even less kettle with an infusion. Three stars? A surprising decoration.

A good breakfast, with good fresh produce, but the hot drinks come from a machine! The rooms are certainly with good bedding, but nothing more.

To spend a night without sightseeing is fine, otherwise you have to look for something else. Now the rooms are clean and the staff nice.

Ibis Budget Caen Porte de Bretagne… A very good address for a stop on the outskirts of Caen… for who wishes to stay in the best quality-price ratio… The team through her home, its versatility and its availability is very professional… The establishment in a hotel in its class offers very nice benefits. Spotlessly clean… I would highly recommend this hotel… Beware there are several IBIS at Caen… My opinion regarding the IBIS Budget Caen Porte de Bretagne located at 1 avenue de Fresne to Bretteville-sur-Odon (14760).

Great value for money. Very clean and comfortable. Added bonus of a secure car park and good location for onwards journiew to the west coast.

Not a good value. The hotel is in a vast wasteland with no decent restaurants nearby. The hotel's own restaurant is not recommended. Every expense was spared in designing the rooms. There's no dim light for the bathroom, so if you need to use the toilet at 3am you must choose between total darkness and a blast of wake-up light. The bathroom light switch is on the outside, so anyone else in the room gets blasted also. There's one light switch that controls every light in the room. This means it's impossible for one person to be up working late while another has a reasonable semblance of darkness — — even in the rooms that have a separate sleeping niche. The Wi-Fi was unusable during our stay. It was so slow, even late at night and at 7:30 AM, that web pages would either time out and fail to finish loading, or take in excess of 15 minutes to load a page.

Despite that we had a bad night because of young room-mate who do not know respect and that the night is made for sleep! Even so, we loved this hotel for its staff (who have wanted us to change rooms) and for the cleanliness, may be next time we return we will have more luck and I could put on a better note ;).
