Made a booking, and was very much looking forward to our stay, only to have the family reach out a week before the trip to tell us they had unilaterally changed the dates significantly because they ‘no longer had availability’. We have tried repeatedly to genuinely understand what the issue is, and had our calls and messages completely ignored. I honestly don’t know what to do with that, but I don’t think it’s fair on us, or an appropriate way to treat people. This is on top of the fact that they give zero flexibility to those booking (no change of dates, no cancellation, pay upfront etc). We took those points, and agreed to our side — I expect the same commitment in return to honour a confirmed booking. I’m sure the place is wonderful, but this isn’t the way to manage things.
