We ended a fabulous 7-day stay at the George Opera Hotel with a group of friends. I'm not used to writing reviews, but this time I felt it was imperative to post some impressions about the location that hosted us during our vacation in Paris.
First of all, the hotel looks impeccable, like new. The rooms are spacious and extremely, extremely, extremely clean. Nor could it be otherwise, given that daily cleaning is done, vacuuming and the towels are changed. I haven't met so much attention and efficiency when staying in 4 or 5 star hotels.
The rooms have air conditioning, are equipped with instant tea and coffee machines, mini fridge, hairdryer, cosmetics, etc. The products in the mini fridge are free, and the refueling is done daily. Also free of charge, we benefited from an open bar in the hotel reception, with sweet snacks, peanuts, juices, coffee, water. Based on the customer card received at check-in, access to this open bar was provided, also free of charge, in any of the over 70 hotels in the Astotel chain located in all corners of Paris.
Breakfast. Many possibilities: omlets, sausages, French cheeses, cereals with milk, jam, fresh croissants, candied fruits, juices, yogurts, milk, coffee, tea. Everything is impeccable and fresh.
The staff impressed us with kindness, permanent smiles and the help offered, on their own initiative, for any approach: reservations, taxi, transfer, recommendations, indications regarding tourist routes, etc. The hotel management treated us with the utmost attention and surprised us by offering us two bottles of champagne in one of the evenings.
Everything was impeccable, and the ratio between these accommodation services and the related rates is fabulous in Paris.
In terms of location, the hotel is brilliantly positioned, 10-15 minutes walk (walk) from: Paris Opera, Galeries La Fayette, Louvre, Notre Dame de Lorette Cathedral, Pigalle, Sacre Coeur, Nord. All these lenses are within walking distance. For all the other two metro lines — line 12 — Saint George station (160 m from the hotel) and line 2 — Pigalle station (400 m from the hotel) — they allow you excellent connections and quick access to other areas of the city. I warmly recommend both the hotel and the staff. For us it will remain the excellent location whenever we are in Paris.
