I came back home yesterday, after 4 nights at this hotel with a friend of mine. All in all, the experience was good. But I do have some pointers to be evaluated:
In the hotel bathroom we are advised to save water and only put our towels in the shower if we want them washed. Even though we didn't do that, and even though we hung the sign on the room, saying that we didn't need cleaning we came back to new towels and a cleaned room everyday. Of course, a cleaned room is nice, b…ut when we specifically put a sign saying we do not need it, it feels weird to see that the hotel ignored our wish, and went in anyway.
Our room was faced towards a shaft, which caused the room to be very dark. It didn’t show on the booking site, that some rooms were faced that way, and we would have loved to have more light in the room. We lived on the 1st floor which of course gets less light. But other than that, the room was very nice, had all we needed and a comfortable bed to sleep in.
Friday night, the 8th, we went out to experience the nightlife of Paris, and we came back to the hotel around 2.30. To our surprise the night portier did not want to let us in. He slightly opened the door to tell us: “We are closed”. I had to explain to him that we lived there, our room number and show him the room key! I think it is nice that the hotel provides the security of having a 24h reception. However, friday night was the only night out of the 4, where we were inspected like that, before we were let inside!
On the last day, when checking out in the morning, it said on our bill that we had been drinking a bottle of wine, 2 beers, eaten 2 boxes of Pringles and ranked the water bottles set out in the room. We bought our own water at the supermarked, a long with 6 beers (desperados) and only ate 1 box of Pringles. The girl in the reception, deleted the rest from our bill. But it still shows a lack of finesse in the work. Everything else in the room of eatable or drinkable substans was intact — so how come someone claim otherwise?
