Up until 10 minutes before I checked out of the hotel, I would have rated it 5 Stars. The service was beyond amazing, the staff are so nice, especially Benjamin and Maxim. The hotel is in an amazing location (30 minute walk to Norte Dame), and near the 'nation' metro station. There is also a taxi station right outside, with lots of restaurants and cafes around it. The breakfast was good however I wish they would have included some halal options, because my husband and I were very limited to what we were able to eat. With that being said, the breakfast is still very good with a wide selection of what to eat. The rooms are nice and the beds are super comfortable, and the rain shower is amazing. The pool was nice, but some people view the pool as a quiet area, and got bothered when my husband and I spoke or answered a phone call. FYI it is not a quiet area, so if any other residents at the hotel tell you that it is, just ignore them. The sauna is a quiet area but the pool is not. So anyways, up until this point I still gave it a 5 star rating (5 nights — Feb 22-27 2018). Now, we had to check out of the hotel at 5 am because we had an 8am flight. We told the man at the front desk to call a taxi for us, which he did. The taxi arrived within 5 minutes, and the moment it arrives, it starts charging. The man at the front desk knew this, and as we were stepping out of the hotel, he asks me: "So are you going to pay the bills or is your husband going to pay them? ". I asked "what bills? ", because I prepaid everything online. He replied "room service and taxes", I then replied "what room service", then he answers in the rudest possible tone/attitude ever "ha ha what room service? ", as if I am stupid. He then tells me that they are charging us for water, tea, coffee. I told him that I will not pay for water because it IS WATER (keep in mind this is a five star hotel, so you would at least assume water is free). I also told him that the coffee and tea were free because our machine in the room stopped working. He says "well that's the first time I hear that", as if I were lying. Anyhow, I did not pay the room service fees, but I did pay the taxes (you can get them refunded at the airport). That hotel man made my review fall from 5 Stars to 4 Stars. Oh and on top of all of that, the taxi man charged us for the wait because the hotel man decided last minute to ask about the bills. I didn't catch his name, but he has blonde/brown hair and a crossed-eye. The way he speaks with customers is very rude. He was the only staff working there that treated us like that. Everyone else there is amazing. I would definitely recommend this hotel, however they need to either fire that man or teach him customer service skills.
