I would not recommend this hotel which is dirty noisy… The shower cord leaks from everywhere… with a hot shot a cold shot … lousy! ¡!

Very good value for money. The staff at the hotel is welcoming, I found the room comfortable and the breakfast served is very decent. Certainly the elevator is narrow but at least there is one! I would not hesitate to go back on occasion. (By the way: I advise the disgruntled to try the 4 star hotels overpriced that swarm the area)

Excellent value for a hotel located 3 MNS walk from the Republic Square and its many metro lines.

Don't expect anything of this hotel. Beyond the poor facilities, the worst thing was the lack of consideration of the people cleaning making too much noise.

The rooms are some small ones. Breakfast at the hotel is not included unless you make a prepayment but there are a lot of cafes in the vicinity. Beautiful decor. There are cameras in the hallway. The toilet looks bad, but shampoo and soap comes in. There are TVs and cupboards. The administrator is constantly changing one worker speaks English and the other does not.

The hotel is dated and the few renovation attempts are inconclusive, lamme of badly laid parquet etc but it is clean and the staff at the reception and very friendly and nice, its location is interesting, so the value for money is good.

The room price was not excessive for the location of the hotel! It is really well located compared to the bus and the metro! The stops are very close and you can get to the various attractions of the city! There's a mini elevator. The rooms are very small and are not suitable for a young child (no cot available). We had taken ours but were placed in a triple room to be able to install it. But without a young child, it's enough for a short stay. You can hear the subway at every pass and the whole room shakes (we were on the 4th floor). The breakfast offered was not bad but not worth its price (7). In short, perfect to spend just one night.

Dirty blankets on the beds. A last resort hotel. Should be €20 per night not €111. Will never stay there again.

Comfortable, quite clean. The bathroom smells a bit bad and the elevator is very small, fits a person with a suitcase or two very tight people. The Internet connection is slow but you get a key for every phone or PC you have. The beds, towels and sheets are very clean and there is a stove in the room.

I had a bad expirience in the Hotel my room was covered in bedbugs and I asked to change my room because the insects bitted me and they told me that the whole hotel is full of the bedbugs and all they can do is to change the duvet of beds.

The rooms and the bathroom leave a Little to be desired… As well as improving the cleanliness, but cmq you are out all day to visit Paris and you fall only to sleep… So, it's more than good!
Price for the rooms. CMQ cheaper than many others!

Location is very good, very close to Metro Oberkampf and Republique. Rooms are just enough to sleep, should be cleaner though, I didnt have the breakfast. Service is very good.

Well Located… But I don't understand why booking it is as hotel… It's pity… All dirty, broken, bored sheets, five people in four beds, hospital blankets… Broken and crumbling cabinets… Disappointed, embittered… They gave me a crappy room for nothing like the photos… nn take him into account… Never.

From a 2 star hotel you don't expect much, but cleaning is cheap. Never seen a lift so small (2 dwarves are tight) In The master bedroom lacks closet with doors, The bedside tables are not there, there are 2 dirty chairs. Bedspread with various Tagliuzzi, the curtains at the window are plastified and all bukerellate. The bathroom lacks curtains, not phone. It Would be a little Enough to make this hotel more liveable because the area is very pretty. Negative Evaluation.

Convenient since it is close to the Republic square. Paris by the way is not that cheap.

Hi, if you're interested in booking Hotel Voltaire Republique, DON'T! The hygenic conditions aren't european standard and there are too many bed bugs! The rooms are infested! They have a serious problem! I was bitten on my whole body at night and got an allergic reaction from it! I immediately escaped from that place. Even if it's cheap, there are far many other hotels for a nice stay in Paris! It must be an imperative for every hotel manager to provide their costomers a healthy and safe stay! 12.09.2017: Dear manager, I have lots of proof… Do you want me to post my pictures? I didn't get the bugs from public transportation…

A shity hotel! The most worst hotel I've ever stayed! I got bedbugs bitten, at least 15, 16bites! Dirty places, there were all dust n spider net inside the room!

Worst place ever! dirty rooms. Rude staff. It was a waste of money. I refused to sleep there.

It's value for money and they have very friendly staff. But, their elevator is surprisingly too small.

Unbelievable. Worst hotel I ever visit. The place was dirty and full of BED BUGS. When I asked for a refund for the remaining days, the "manager" screamed at me and even sent an email to me cursing and threathing me because I posted a bad review at a survey. Its not a 2 star hotel. Its a nasty place, where everything is broken and at night bed bugs wont let you sleep. They gave me a new room, and guess what? I read at review about the same room being contaminated too. This place completely ruined my stay in Paris. I had to find somewhere else to stay after paying for 3 nights. PLUS, I HAD TO WASH ALL MY CLOTHES WHILE IN PARIS since everything was full of bedbugs. The manager doesnt have a clue of what a costumer service is. Do not stay in this hotel, is nasty and worst is the person in charge who doesn't appreciated those who feed his belly.

Central location, but the atmosphere at night is a little thin. Justitos breakfast.

A good hotel well located. It's not luxury but we see rarely better on Paris.

BASIC HOTEL, beside the Bataclan, and the square of the Republic, with a lift for 2 people, innacessible for a person in a wheelchair, not cheap, just to sleep hotel, metro

Simple hotel a stone's throw from the metro.
Unfortunately the positive notes stop there.
We stayed in a triple room in March. Cold room and basic and also the floor of the room was not particularly clean. The situation improved on the second day, after cleaning the room.
Even the bathroom wasn't in very good condition with roofing tiles in the bath partially detached. No hairdryer in the room (you can ask in reception but is one to divide with other guests) and free Wi-Fi only available in the lobby on the ground floor, but not in the rooms.
If you land at CDG take Rer B (ticket € 10 per person per way) Nine and take the metro, get off at Du, 5 République. Arriverere at the hotel after a few minutes on foot.

I've never before had bed bugs but I did here. Also, the family who appeared to be living in the next room made noise until well into the morning. Everything else was just okay. Not overly messy or rude staff or anything.

Please, I am begging you DO NOT STAY HERE. I have travelled the world and have never had an experience like I did here. Not only do they have bed bugs but the bed bugs carry scabies. I was hospitalized for three days with an antibiotic iv.

Not that bad at all for few nights stay. Very warm, quite. Only smell of waste in bathroom let it down. Yeah and you have to pay for Wi-Fi not good. Nice breakfast and staff is lovely. Very good location. No bed bugs.

Bed bug infected hotel.
Unable to speak to the owner despite several attempts.
No favorable reaction from the personal.
Charged credit card has the happened and not at the beginning.
Now we understand why, unable to be reimbursed.
They know although we na no recourse on our way back to the country. (Canada)
Disagreeable to have lost a day has disinfected suitcase, linen, van.
We were 9 people.

Avoid this hotel if you want to spend a nice stay in France.

Very Sorry, but this Hotel is not good at all. We reserved separate beds (room of 3 and 2) because we came for work, instead they gave us shared beds. And worst of all, there is probably a plague of bedwants/lice because two of us got bitten a lot. One of us is sick now and has allergy everywhere. I would recommend everyone NOT to book at this hotel.

A hotel for small budgets, the warm welcome and the room small but functional.

My friend and I kicked off our summer of backpacking at Hotel Voltaire. We got bedbugs. We informed the manager, who told us that it was our fault, not the hotel's and we were lucky that he wasn't charging us for damages! Don't stay here.

The only good thing about this hotel is the location. Extremely noisy, both at the back and the front. The courtyard could be slightly better. The wallpaper was dirty and the carpet filthy. Extremely overpriced. My advice: keep away unless there´s nothing else available.
