Very nice evening at the Château de Noirieux.
It is in neighbours that we cross the high grids of the Château de Noirieux for a romantic dinner on the occasion of our wedding anniversary.
We are greeted in the bucolic setting of the garden for an aperitif in the shade of the hundred year old lime trees. The service is in every respect according to what one is entitled to expect from a Relais & Châteaux: friendly and professional, efficient and discreet.
The spring map is offered during the aperitif. It is full of promises and the continuation will reinforce us in our respective choices.
We go to the table in a clear restaurant room, with elegant decoration and pleasant light, diffused by beautiful chandeliers Belle Epoque. Despite the presence of about thirty guests — including four seminar tables — the sound level remains very pleasant and does not require pushing the voice to be heard from its neighbour.
A cucumber gazpacho and a chicken mousseline is offered in the mouth. A success. Arrive at the most successful blends of flavours: the Kamchatka crab and its candied lemon guacamole accompanied by a succulent shellfish jelly for Madame and a half-baked duck foie gras with a strawberry jelly associated with a rhubarb COMPED. Our taste buds are tamed… The dishes prove to be of the same level of research and taste: place yellow "Ikijimé" fried with butter of rustacés and its jus of meat with Sage and a divine fillet of beef fried in complicity of lobster accompanied by a hollandaise sauce with very classical herbs but o co successful mwell.
Before the deserts, we have the right to visit the chef, Christophe Guillemot, who came to greet his guests. This is part of the habits and customs of this type of House and it is very nice to greet and congratulate such artisans of taste.
The desserts are absolutely delicious and particularly successful both in their conception and in their execution (a special mention to "chocolate and raspberry", a delicious chocolate ganache combined with an astonishing sorbet of red berries with chilli of Espelette).
Coffee and tea served in a lounge to finish a very successful evening and that deserves our complete satisfaction.
At the price chapter, the note is at the height of the benefits without exaggeration: €220 for two guests (aperitifs, 2 menus of the Loir, mineral water and coffee).
Recommend without hesitation and the urge to come back very quickly.
