The hotel is very well placed, close to the city centre and the esplanade on the Allier. On the other hand, no parking, you either have to park in a paid parking lot or try to find a place in the streets around the hotel.
We had a good reception. The reception has a character, large wooden staircase and period decoration.
Our rooms were on the second floor, access by the passageway overlooking the courtyard is very nice. We took 4 rooms and were very disappointed with their quality: in 2 rooms the faucet was dated, in another a new shower was right in the middle of the room and in the last of the bare wires made the electricity break when The curtains have been closed! On the plus side, the bedding is firm.
Breakfast is served in a beautiful room with access to the garden. The buffet is all you can eat but we have experienced better in terms of diversity and quality of products. It takes 10 euros/adult and 5/child.
In short disappointing, I advise you to ask for a room on the ground floor based on what we could see the quality and the decoration is not the same!
