My partner and I just spent a couple nights at this wonderful place. We found the location away from the very touristy area of Avignon just perfect. It was a close walk (maybe 5-10 minutes) to some of the main attractions and it was easy to get to a bus stop to explore Villeneuve Lez Avignon just across the river (highly recommend). Lots of good restaurants and small shops very close to the hotel. I would say the ONLY thing we found lacking at the hotel: good pillows... they were flat and encased in a thick plastic.... not enough of an issue to rate below 5 stars and Nicholas was kind enough to give us two additional pillows. Just surprising because everything else was top tier and very comfortable. The courtyard in the middle of the rooms/apartments was an oasis that made you feel very much away from the busy streets. Very quiet, well appointed without being fussy. And Nicholas was very kind in orienting us upon arrival with suggestions and directions. Would definitely stay again.

My wife and I had a great time here. Sabine and Patrick who run the place are very friendly and helpful. We had the attic room, which does have very low ceilings as they mention on their website, but the private terrace with a view of a 14th-century tower is amazing.

The room and common areas were all very clean, and the private courtyard, which the attic room overlooks, was nice and quiet which I really enjoyed because the streets can get quite noisy on the weekends.

If we’re ever in Avignon again, we would definitely stay here.

It was a privilege to stay in this immaculate, charming and tastefully renovated guest house located in what was once a 13 Century monastery within the walls of the historic city of Avignon. There are several good choices of rooms and suites and we had everything we needed at our fingertips. We so enjoyed the lovely courtyard in the center of the property. Owners, Sabine and Patrick were kind, helpful and welcoming and we so enjoyed being within walking distance to wonderful restaurants and historic locations. We especially enjoyed stepping out of the front door of the guest house to visit the market that offered beautiful flowers we enjoyed all week, delicious foods and crafts. Parking is available if needed as well as lots of good advice for your stay. We loved our stay her and will return.

We only stayed for 1 night en route to the South of France, which is a shame because we wanted to stay longer. This is a lovely tranquil, stylish place where we had a comfortable, quiet and well-equipped room. There's also a lovely shady shared courtyard. ||The manager was very friendly and helpful and was happy to come and greet us even though we didn't arrive until nearly 8pm.||The hotel is close to all the main sights, yet quiet and very affordable.||Avignon has so much to see, we hope to return for a longer stay.

My wife and I and another couple had two rooms here in mid-September. The hotel and rooms are decorated with architectural elements and remnants of a former monastery. We were able to beat the Provence heat with the room's AC unit. Rooms have a small, but functional kitchenette of sorts tucked into an armoire. Rooms are quiet and surround a pleasant courtyard.||||Patrick was an excellent and helpful host. He was especially helpful in getting a taxi for the four of us to the TGV station at an obscene hour of the morning. The night before, I asked for the name and number of the driver in case there were issues. Patrick said, "If there is a problem, call me and I will take care of it. I don't care if it is 6 in the morning!"||||This was a good choice for our three nights in Avignon. It is fairly close to the Palace of the Popes and other attractions. We also got good advice from Patrick for a nearby laundromat.

Property to recommend — excellent welcome — successful renovation in an old building.

We stayed at Aux Augustins for 3 nights in June and had a wonderful time. Our accommodation was beautiful and within 2 mins of cafes snd restaurants. I highly recommend staying here.

This hotel is a classic european style. The courtyard is so pretty, attractive and also the employee is so positive in helping the guests. Hotel is so close to tha polais de papes and many restaurants. However parking is not possible within or near the hotel. We have to go public parking place with charges.

Pleasant stay in this well-located hotel with its ornate patio, its few beautifully decorated rooms and its patron at once discreet and generous who takes care of you.

Just the sort of experience I was looking for, and a warm welcome from a genial host.

Very nice place in the City Center. The only problem was with car parking.

Monsieur was so welcoming — — — while it was a little complicated he explained everything very clearly. Delivered breakfast (in room) was a nice luxury but did not lend itself to a meeting with colleagues over breakfast.

We booked a comfortable studio apartment in this restored monastery. It had a small kitchen which was good for making breakfasts, tea & coffee and heating food. The room was spacious, well designed and comfortable and we had a large modern bathroom. It's in a great location just minutes away from bakeries, supermarkets, bars and restaurants and short walk to all the attractions. We had a car which we parked for free at the Les Italiens car park which was a 10 minute walk away.

Just exactly as you see in their photo and website. A wonderful place.

Perfect location, wonderful spacious rooms, one of a kind people that are there to help!

Great place to stay inside the old city walls, easy walk to everywhere as the old city is fairly small. If you have a car you can park in "Les Italines" free parking lot on Avenue Les Italienes just outside the walls and walk 10 minutes to Aux Augustins or take the free shuttle (5 minute ride). The place itself is amazingly cool and very quiet at night — you have your own private courtyard where they have tables & chairs so you can sit and enjoy a bottle of wine & some cheese and maybe meet T The hosts are great and very helpful; the room prices are reasonable — most of the rooms have a kitchenette and I'd definitely get one of these rooms. Let them know what time you are arriving as they have 1 parking place (blocked by poles) out front that you can park to unload. The hotel is an old convent dating from the 13th century I think and the clock tower is one of the walls for several of the rooms — all have been remodeled so everything is new and modern; the bed mattresses are also reasonably comfortable (not too hard). You'll be happy with this place.

Excellent reception during a stay of a few days in October 2014, allowing me to discover this beautiful city of Avignon.
All shops close. A restaurant just in front of the Augustinians which is very good. The room very 'cosy'. A kitchenette very convenient and the bakery is nearby. The patio was lovely, I could take my breakfast quiet.
So nice I want to renew by booking this time in little paradise. It was difficult to choose between these two places on the same concept.
Then a Board: enjoy two over 2 stays.
