It’s a beautiful place, comfortable rooms with good beds, tasty homecooked meals — eating outside, with a wonderful view of sunset in the Auvergne.

Auberges Les Liards is a wonderful destination to wind down and enjoy the stunning landscapes and picturesque villages surrounding is. The place is a beautifully restored traditional farm, the are rooms are comfortable and lovely decorated in different styles making each one an experience to stay, and the newly added Russian sauna is an absolute treat! I stayed here with a group of friends and enjoyed the excellent and friendly services of the owners who could direct us towards the best local producers of all typical delicacies at the local market, cooked lovely meals with self grown veggies and herbs, point out beautiful walks in the area and tell all about the local economy and way of life. Absolutely worth a (next) visit!

I had read a lot of it and I must admit that I was not disappointed. However, although the hosts are welcoming, I found it a great pity to feel (that's my impression) a little obliged to report on the program of the day that my partner and I had planned to do. The setting is beautiful and the breakfasts and dinners are good. I liked the atmosphere and the discussions with the other guests during the meals. So, I just regretted having to "almost" justify myself on the program carried out with the impression that we did "little things" while we were on vacation and that, in essence, on vacation, we may also want to "get it soft". My remark is not nasty, quite the contrary, I wish one day to come back and feel a little freer to (why not! ) do nothing for a few days and contemplate the beautiful Landscape Auvergnat from the terrace room. Thank you!

Calm, serenity and sharing are the master words of this bed and breakfast. Walter welcomed us with open arms, and cooked us great "homemade" dishes! The Nepal room we are staying in is just amazing!

Nature shines in this true ecological inn. We found great accommodations (rooms are comfy and are loaded with charm) and a beautiful location on top of a (easily accessible by car) mountain that give a great view of the entire valley during the day and at night an unparalleled sight of the stars above the northern hemisphere (coming from a city I simply didn't know there were that many! ). It's a great place to hike, bike or just simply unwind with its friendly hosts. We had tasty foods that were all locally produced with great care and it made us feel really welcome, with options for vegetarians/vegans.
Comes very recommended and definitely would visit again!

We stayed here for 2 days and had an amazing experience! The farm dates back into 700 or 800 years and is situated on the top of a large hill overlooking the region. The view is amazing. We were fed delicious vegetarian and local dishes and stayed in the Nepal room, which has a loft that our children had a great time staying and playing in. The animals were great, and there were plenty of places to go walking. The place felt very authentic, warm, and wonderful to stay at. We hope to come back again when in France!

We came for 2 days of hiking, almost neighbours, Clermont-Ferrand, at a time of the hostel of the farthings. And yet what scenery! And what a welcome! And what authenticity!
In the evening, we tested the sauna absolutely irresistible Russian, with delicious set meals and samovar, wood stove, fluffy bathrobes.
In the morning, Astrid regaled us his bread, her jams and we took the hiking path after a final salute to the pretty village of Golden stones and warm welcome guests.

Extraordinary setting. Old buildings renovated by a Dutch couple who have travelled the world and pushing the eco-development to the extreme (choice of coatings).

The simple and warm, welcome at the height of what is noted on the site. The environmental commitments (construction, food and culture. Etc). The exceptional place! A beautiful view, an interior really built for the well-being, natural as possible, artistic.
The friendly atmosphere, Astrid, Walter, their children, Bobby and met guests participate to make the very soothing place.
The report quality/price, some rooms are accessible for limited budgets or so for larger they can accommodate several people which reduces fees!
Damage couldn't have stayed longer to discover the area.
In summary, this is a place I would recommend with your eyes closed.

With our two children (4 and 8 j. ), we now already have two weeks summer holidays for the second time in (*), (*), (*) and (*) spent. The Auberge is located in full nature, far away from any stress and hustle and bustle – still many sights of Auverge are within easy reach. We remember menu and the most beautiful sunsets over the volcanic mountains with much pleasure the beautiful cosy evenings, weather permitting in the wild, with delicious 4-course. The warmth of the host family has made this vacation unforgettable – we have recorded as among friends we felt and come back very happy!
