HOSTEL20 Bordeaux HIFRANCE Hostel

Very nice environment… Yet I went there in times of Covid for a 2-month internship…
The atmosphere and the good mood were present.
In addition the hostel is well placed (on the Quai des Chartrons) almost 20min by tram from everything you can do in Bordeaux … Really great.

A beautiful welcome and a great atmosphere with a great mix of ages and personalities! Even when it rains (and in Bordeaux it often rains) the atmosphere in it is warm!

I stayed at Hostel20 while ago but I keep very good memories of it! Met a bunch of cool people, staff was great, room and bathroom were clean! I'll be back someday! Best.

It is a great hostel both if you want to party or study! I needed to go early to bed and after 11pm it was very quiet! Breakfast and dinner are good too, you can get to know people at the hostel. Thank you!

We booked a private room at this hostel with a reservation under Tanya Kocer. The atmosphere and location were great, but it was a very bad experience overall. We booked this because of the air conditioning, and our room did not have it. I do not recommend this place in the heat of summer. It was overall a very dirty place to stay, the sink in our hallway did not work and did not have mirrors. They have a very small community refrigerator for up to 30 guests. Due to not having air conditioning, we had to sleep with the window open and ended up with about 15 mosquito bites. The window was in the ceiling so if it rains, you are out of luck because it is locked down by the staff. Be careful with the upcharges as well, you are not allowed to bring your own alcohol and they charge €2 each, and also charge for any type of breakfast. Not a knock on the staff at all, they were great.

The attention very close and familiar, made dinner and PubCrawl, and the guys that attend are very nice. Very good experience.

A great Hostel with a fantastic atmosphere, you can opt in on a shared dinner which the staff cook which is tasty and reasonably priced. Watch out for the tall worker Paul he's so dry he could well be a Cabernet Sauvignon.

Don't drink when you're there. They will throw you out. Most of the staff are fine but the night guy is an idiot who hates drunk people. In Bordeaux! Many people come to enjoy the wine but be very quiet at night or he will complain and you will be out with no chance of a debate or reasoning. I was just messing with the guy according to other witnesses but he has no sense of humour — maybe he's in the wrong job.

V friendly hostel with chatty happy staff, a bit more expensive than I would have liked hence 4stars but cheapest in Bordeaux.

I Have been there a few times and want to book there for. 31st March 2018 till 6th June 2018 but it seems fully booked. Is there anywhere else at a good rates in Bordeaux during theses dates. Thanks Need information as soon as possible.

Really cool corridor upon entering! You can rent bikes here for pretty cheap and they have free coffee/tea. The only bad thing was that it smelled like smoke and there was some loud drilling at one point.

A real economical hostel with friendly and multilingual young people, a good atmosphere in a place filled with history, close to public transport and the centre of Bordeaux with a real welcome to try…

Very friendly staff, great communication. They all speak great English, they are kind and welcoming. They create opportunities for travellers to connect and socialise.

Pretty nice experience overall. Really the only hostel in Bordeaux so I'm glad it's not a bad one =)

Well located hostel nr to Bordeaux centre. Staff v friendly! It’s a brilliant budget hostel if you’re passing through or hoping to meet new people. The €5 group meal gave a family vibe which was fun. Jono & the Team were great. Well recommend!

I really enjoyed my stay at HOSTEL20! The staff is amazing and the dinners are the best of every day, great chef Anthony! Super well located in the central area of the city. I hope to return soon, thanks guys!

Cheap and cheerful. A 15min walk from town. Bit rough around the edges. Good for meeting people. The self catering area is a bit grimy. Beds are fine though.

Great location and atmosphere in this hostel. The staff were friendly and social. Bathroom and toilet were top notch. Lots of different rooms besides for sleeping at your disposal. The home cooked dinner and breakfast they offer, at a low cost, gives you a feeling of dining with friends. The downstairs hallway is a perfect place to store your bike. What prevents this Hostel from getting a full 5-star review is the noise; if someone was walking in the hallway in the sleeping area it sounded as an army marching. Besides that, with earplugs — I'd definitely visit again.

The environment is very good, although in the alley, but very close to the river, evening too late (11 points) to walk back to the river many people, services and facilities are very good OH.

Nice and cozy hostel in Bordeaux center, very near to tram B (Chartrons) and just few steps from the wine museum. You feel like you're staying in a house more than in a hostel cause the building is a typical bordelaise one that has been adecuated into a hostel. It's very nice actually! The staff is very kind and it's always willing to help you. You can have dinner for just 5€ which includes a glass of wine. I recommend this place!

Fantastic hostel with a charming atmosphere and a great mix of people. Clean rooms, great dinners and the staff are all amazing! Really good area in Chartrons near the quays with lots to see and with easy access to the rest of the city. Loved it!

This place is really nice. It's not like modern hostel with all the fancy things but more like free and solidary. Staff is very friendly and willing to help with everything. The place is in an old and nice building with a great patio where you can chill with other people. Tram stations are bearby and the river is really close as well. Peaceful place with an unique atmosphere.

This is the 2nd time I've been back to Hostel20 (stayed there during the Euros last year) and I couldn't have been happier with my decision! The staff are so helpful and friendly and the breakfast is fantastic! Would Highly recommend for groups as its in a great location with transport minutes away.

I have stayed here a couple of nights and I felt at home. Cozy atmosphere, super staff and great location make hostel20 one of my favorite hostels that I've ever been to. Highly recommended!

Great stay in hostel20, its situated in a truly historic building close to trams and next to the river. Breakfast and dinner are provided for a very cheap and reasonable price. The hostel gives you the opportunity to meet people from all over the world and the staff were extremely helpful as well!

Historical bulding, well cleaned, super staff and well linked with the center. Suggested to all travellers.

Very friendly staff. The rooms were very clean and they had a wicked sunroof in our private room. Which auto closed when it started to rain so we got back to a nice dry room! Will stay here again.

Frankly I just go for a stay of a month and a half and I am delighted. The team is in the home, the patio is beautiful, the dorms are not in a bunk bed which is very comfortable. I recommend frankly this hostel.

The atmosphere is super cool, has a kitchen and communal dining area the beds are super comfortable and excellent care.
