Stunning wedding venue! We had our wedding on the roof terrace of the hotel. The standard is excellent and they really offer a bespoke service at every level, the staff worked really hard to please us. We were quite demanding over the food and what they delivered in the end was just perfect. We received many many compliments from our guests regarding everything but particularly the venue and the food. The terrasse can accommodate around 100 guest and it was fully privatised. The view is amazing and the atmosphere wonderful…

Not a bad hotel, but the design of the rooms is a bit old-fashioned.

Tuesday night it was beautiful, so we decided with my daughter who lives on Bordeaux to go on the terrace to have an aperitif. There is still a long way to go for the service, when you pay 17 euros an APOL it is expected to be well presented. It's a shame to charge this price for a place that claims to be 5 stars. The "peanuts" are served in a common "plastic" Cup, the glass of wine as in the epicureales… simply served. Frankly make efforts, go to the 5 stars of the coast take an aperitif you will see the difference. Both in terms of presentation and service. I had the feeling of being taken for an idiot… I have not digested the note… 34 euros… the day before in a small Troquet everything was better served… and much cheaper.

The rooftop, "night Beach", is worth a visit! On the other hand, would have to choose a little more the entrance to the clientele because seeing someone in a tank/shorts/flip flops in a place like that, it takes away the magic of the place. But otherwise the staff is nice and available! Cocktails are more expensive than elsewhere obviously but it's not embarrassing.

Always a pleasure to stay in this beautiful place!
The rooms are silky (although some are relatively small, especially the bathroom space for 2) and the service is always very good as well as the amenities.
The service at breakfast remains to be improved, while the buffet is absolutely rich and delicious.
The location is ideal.

The location is super! Nice hotel with warm service. Good but expensive restaurant, five stars as not.

We stayed here for a long weekend in April, the hotel was fantastic. Pretty much what you would expect from such a grand building and €300 price tag! Staff were very helpful and courteous. Breakfast was a real strong point and set us up very well for the days of exploring! The roof top bar had just opened on the last night we were in the hotel for the summer. It’s a real bonus for the hotel and well worth a visit for top cocktails and amazing views!

We were able to enjoy the SPA the baths of Léa. Beautiful place with swimming pool, saunas and hamams. Very relaxing.

We only used the SPA in the hotel but that was really good. Great sauna with beautiful view to the city, large steam and a wonderful pool with plenty of beds to lay down and relax. Accessories and supplements are also first class. The only downside for me was the size of the gym which is bit dissapointed but OK for a hotel.

Fantastic Hotel. Special thanks to Jules for making our time there extra special. Alex checked in was quick and efficient, he also taken us to our room and explained hotel amenities. Service in the restaurant were excellent. Thanks to Magali for arranging our dinner reservations and the table location. Will definitely coming back when the weather is nicer.

A magnificent place with sumptuous décor to get out of a harassing shopping. A Napoleonic style with purple colors or absinthe for 2 bars. The floral decoration is always very rafinété, fresh and of quality.
The welcoming staff and the consumption rates at the Orangery bar are quite correct.
The bathrooms are perfectly maintained and the décor is also very neat, the flowers always superb.
Small concern all the same in the summer room with unpleasant fumes linked to a sanitation problem, but it is thus on almost the whole course of the stewardship.

Perfectly situated hotel and delightful staff. Bed was comfortable and shower amazing — and breakfast was plentiful and delicious. The hotel itself though is very traditional — and although many go for that kind of thing — in my view it's getting close to needed a new lease of life.

Very nice setting, perfectly located, suitable map, however the analogy with a luxury establishment unfortunately stops there.
You have to put that in perspective, you are supposed to be in the walls of a 5 star! Yes but…
The staff is globally foreign to anything that can make a difference between a single 3 star and a 5 star.
The room service does not seem to be carried out by qualified staff of a hotel school, but I would rather say by trainees (however sometimes kind and smiling! But you will agree that a smile of quality can be obtained just as well in the Bistro Lambda opposite, the one at reasonable prices and without false promises).
The SPA, either closed or without swimsuits! (He moved you to go and buy one by your own means. Nice! ) not always clean, twisted door handles, scratches on the walls… the furniture seems to be well cushioned since the time!
In conclusion, an establishment well below the expected standing which deserves its 5 stars only because of its perceived quality and not by the quality of the services. In short a nice Pullman from Accor living on his achievements, boasting of assets unfortunately chimeric.

I went there during a afterwork, in the middle of summer. Lounge atmosphere on the roof of the hotel, with a breathtaking view of Bordeaux. Staid clientele, be careful not to Depair! Atmosphere and drinks at the top! I'll go back as soon as I can!

Good concierge to direct me to wine shop. A bit weird that room doesn't come with dental kits. But upon request I did manage to get one. Rooms are dark but I supposed that's legacy from the past. A nespresso machine is there in the room as well, which is convenient.

Very nice and well located hotel in Bordeaux. The rooms are quite dark and the light configuration is a little tricky. The shower was too low for me.

I stay here frequently and am always impressed by the friendliness and professionalism of the staff. The hotel is beautiful inside and out and the restaurants and services are first rate.

A very nice hotel with large rooms. The time has remained in this hotel in a positive sense. The rooms are clean and nicely decorated. Very friendly and uncomplicated staff. The breakfast buffet does not leave any wishes open. We'll be back!

Everything was good except restaurant. Actually very much disapoint with Gordon ramsay.

Perfect place right in the center of Bordeaux. Everything is within short walking distance. It's right in front of the Opera House.

Wonderful place with superb bars and restaurants. Only reason for not 5 stars is the low shower head (although I'm just over 6ft) and lack of HDMI socket on TV in room.

Super Rooftop, excellent but expensive.

Just beside the Opera house, the traffic is convenient, but the room is small and the lighting is very dark, finally please the waiter to help us send a light to solve!

Very dark rooms. At breakfast and especially in the bar of "hot", they lack staff; The waiting time can become long.

This is an excellent Hotel with great staff. Yes the rooms are on the small side and a bit too dark. Great location for exploring Bordeaux and plenty of restaurants in the locality.

Old hotel, is used to create, building materials are advanced, but there are some inconvenience to the design, such as the face of nowhere to put cosmetics and so small can not be very handy to use! And the light in the room is too dim!
Breakfast is really very rich, there are delicious can Lilou and advanced yogurt, if asked me to this hotel feel, I will be very straight heart said: I miss its breakfast!

This is just review of check in. Just coming in from a AGO to BOD flight I was less than patient with the gents ahead of me that seemed to be negotiating a mortgage verses a room. Someone must have noticed me glaring and game to assist me and took me personally to my room. The bell man didn't even linger for a tip! So far service great. Interesting bath products are from SF (my hometown for decades still the greatest place on earth) Wi go spotty, my own fault for not planning ahead for travel Wi-Fi, a MUST. Excom global customer service rocks. Sergio is amazing Great locale easy transit and walking. Chose it due to dove tailing another trip. NOT my style but cannot complain.

Good hotel made great by great customer service. Got to hotel earlier and they accommodated early check-in. Had some noise issue with our room so they moved and upgraded us, excellent location and decor. Only down side is the standard hotel breakfast.

His restaurant is a fairytale for the palate.

Stayed here for three nights, very good location. The bathroom was very small and I had to ask the cleaners to clean the bedroom whilst we were out after the first night as I woke up with hay fever with dust around the lamps. I think the decor is very nice however would prefer more lighting.

The only Palace in Bordeaux. Exceptional location in the heart of the city. Finally a real quality bedding that makes you go excellent nights.

Very pleased. Beautiful building, excellent location, great staff, we had an awesome room (upgraded), they have an apparently nice rooftop spa (didn't get to see it; closed at 21:00, my only peeve. ). Highly recommended. Stayed one night in April 2016, and I travel a lot.

The staff during our stay couldn't have been more helpful. There was always someone at your service. Our room overlooked the plaza that faces the Grand Theatre. At night the lights and action were exciting. Our stay always included breakfast in the dinning area upstairs. It was a wonderful buffet breakfast. The hotel has lots of charm and old style…

The hotel is beautiful, luxurious and classic hospitality is pleasant and efficient, staff all categories is perfect, great breakfast and brunch indescribable. It is, and by far, the best I have ever had to do. The spa treatments are excellent. Of course we regret any little bit size the spa facilities (small pool, little space to the relaxation area), but weekends are not that St. — Valentine's day, we hope that the rest of the year we would feel less in "overpopulation". Everything is designed to make our stay a moment out of time. When you have the chance to enjoy it, we do: without moderation. Thank you.

I should not be rating this hotel as we did not stay there but. We did enjoy coffee and brunch while viewing the spectacular square and opera house. The waiter was the best. Probably out of our price range.

One of the flagship Bordeaux place. Ideal location on the Place of comedy, a nice team and caring, a framework and a great view. It is always a pleasure to go there!

An espresso at € 5 on the terrace of this luxury property should entitle a minimum service and attention. No server to install yourself, endless waiting to order and to pay the Bill. We will not soon forget.

Decoration is gorgeous. However, building is little bit old, the room is small. Wifi Internet service is unstable. Staff are not polite as other reviewers pointed out.

This Hotel is a very nice hotel. The food was delicious and did not disapoint. The staff were very polite and helpful. I recommmend it for anyone with a strong stomach.

We were there 4 days and adored. We actually used the Hotel only for Sleeping, no spa, no Dinner no Breakfast (very expensive but you get everything — — > no use for us). The Housekeepers were as clean as expected, never seen seen them (except on the Floor going to the next Door to hide, so we wont see them), never disturbed, my cloths I through on the Chair were hang up next day. The cleanest Bathroom in France I`ve ever seen. Free Nespressomachine in the Room. Room was always cooled down to 23 degrees (we had 37 in Town — — > very happy to return to Room for shower and cool down) Conclusion: Worth the money you spend. Best Location in Town — — > central, quiet, always heard a: "bon jour" from every Staff.

I would never return to the grand hotel due to their terrible customer service. I got food poisoning at their michelin starred restaurant and suffered all night. I politely explained it to the staff the next day and they offered no apology. Since then they have implied it was my weak stomach. They are arrogant and unwilling to admit mistakes and improve.
