Wonderful hotel and room, le 123 restaurant and perfect buffet breakfast, have a nice stay.

We had to get married at the castle hotel, in view of the health situation we had to cancel. Management has no humanity and thinks only of money. We had no physical contact with the management, only by email and they took advantage of the health situation to take their time to refund us only half.
I don't recommend this place.

We ate at the restaurant and had access to the pool.

An idyllic place, a competent staff, smiling, listening, attentive. Spacious rooms, clean, everything available, I recommend this place for a moment or two or even in a group. The restaurant, le 123, is at the top, a delicious, service impeccable.

I only stayed one night but enjoyed my stay. The building, grounds and my room were beautiful.

A real shame for a hotel supposedly 4 stars! Swimming pool in a deplorable state (tile broken and dirty, the subway's jump seat shower completely moldy, shower head disgusting, etc. ) door of steam bath is not closed, in the bedroom, even finding coffee cup unwashed, radiator rusty, hairdryer broken, carpet stained, faux king size bed (just 2 beds a person and against the other). Staff that attends more to know or it will go out in the evening that of these customers, garden furniture dirty with bird dung and table not cleared for a moment… in short, a very bad surprise and photos on site misleading!. A leak of any emergency.

A hotel completely left abandoned, swimming pool and spa unsafe. Really a shame for a 4 stars.

I can't put 4's at this 4-star hotel

During our 3-night stay we stun on a few points unworthy of a 4.

The pictures are misleading, the castle is right next to a hotel complex.
There is no spirit of the "castle surrounded by a huge park".
Besides, the park was not as huge as one might think and the maintenance left something to be desired (yellow grass, weeds. )

Disappointed on several points for the room:
Balneo Bath HS (justified by the fact that "the company holding the maintenance contract had gone bankrupt and had to wait until it was in legal redress to be able to call another company. " Aberrant!
but… no info during check-in!
Safe HS "it has to come from the batteries, I'll take care of it". We're still waiting.
Thermostatic faucet very hard to handle to cut the flow of water and without safety to block the setting of the water temperature (inoperative nipple)

Windows too high to have a view. Anyway it was view of the roof of the restaurant and its solar panels.
By the time we arrived, a tea bag and one of sugar had been opened and. Repositioned in the presentoir probably by the former client. Finally we hope!. So no verification?
No mini-bar, just a fridge with water bottles. Offered, phew!
No explanation for how the air conditioning works.

A welcoming and chalerous place. The castle as well as the rooms are superb. The meal is a bit pricey but very good and the breakfast offers a wide variety of choices.
Only snag the pool whose water was a bit murky and seemed salty.

Very friendly and pleasant staff. Comfortable bedding and room not bad. However, park and setting less bucolic than one might have hoped and restaurant to the kitchen quite unremarkable.

Disappointing!
Very borderline clean (dust, mold, suspicious dripping on the walls, fridge with food stains) and after having it noticed, the receptionist tells us that they will redo the room when we are at dinner. We're still waiting.
Technically, dirty equipment (towel dry or greasy and dusty hair dryer), missing earthenware, broken toilet door handle, toilet brush incompatible with these.
In short, for a stay to decompress, it was missed!
Hearty breakfast. Good bedding. Cleanpool to review with algae at the liner limit.

Lovely hotel in a quiet location. Great Chateau conversion with only 20 rooms or so. 15 minutes from La Rochelle. Restaurant seems nice. Lovely and friendly staff. Spa was average.

Looking at it from the outside is rather impressive, but our room was disappointing, rather small and no controls for the air conditioner on a hot summer night. We could not find parking space for our car and had to park some distance away. Clean and comfortable bed though.

The welcome we received upon my arrival was very professional, for me to taken up to my room, presentation of the hotel, … For the rest of my stay of two night, the staff was very warm. The hotel is luis is well maintained and the exterior very pleasant, especially the park at the back which is relaxing. The room is very spacious, very well equipped, very quiet and relaxing. I would like to point out that, contrary to some opinions that I have read, I have no complaints on the cleanliness of my room. The only small remark I could have is that when I wanted to take my shower at 6 o'clock in the morning, the water was not very hot. Regarding the spa, nothing wrong quiet, clean and relaxing space herbal teas is nice. The breakfast is at a correct price is 15€ but could be a little more varied. The quality is impeccable. I will come back here without any worries.

A very friendly hotel which is also a great reception place for various events, such as weddings. Staff to listen and very pro, restaurant at the top. To recommend.

We had a stay during the weekend and were rather disappointed.
The benefits are clearly not up to the rate.
Upgraded on arrival (as the room had not been made, at 6pm…) We then dined at the Castle restaurant; Or the service is disappointing, and the person tells you that what you want to order looks like the sole and that she already advised AI head to remove it will have to card. For dishes with more than 30 euros, we hope to have the service that goes with it.
Then came the breakfast, 15 euros not anyone to have some miniardises and toasted bread… ah pardon please specify that you want fresh bread.
I will finish with the Hammam (4 people maximum in) which is set far too strong and so hot that we had a headache during the 4 days that followed.

Discovered with a smartbox, pleasant time spent in a very pleasant setting. Dogs are accepted. Adjoining gourmet Restaurant.

Competent Masseuse and quality care. Welcome and service to improve at the reception level. Some attentions are expected for a 4 star. We asked if we should book the restaurant after our care, no need for the reception. Finally, a group grafted during our care and instead of finding a solution for 2 cutlery, we were entitled to "it doesn't matter, you will come back" we offered a care to our Father: Massage and access swimming pool. Only the massage was carried out and it was extended as quickly to the reception without access to the pool (and without asking him) for the SPA, some work is to be expected to refresh and repair the imperfections, especially in the shower where the tiles are taken off and the Cracked walls at its base.

Nice stay. Just small worries we had not been warned from work at the pool. So asked before.

Very welcoming places. The rooms are spacious. The staff are very helpful. The room service is not bad despite some oversights. The restaurant is super good. Only downside we were not warned of the spa which was closed during our stay for works… We will return without problems.

The SPA is a disappointment. The pool water that was supposed to be heated was cold. The steam room was not working. The condition of the shower is to be revisited, tiles taken off, bulkheads gaps.
Despite the criticism, the management did not make any commercial gestures.
The restaurant is good but not sensational. 2 stars because I'm nice.
Too bad, they have everything to succeed.

Please do not hesitate to remove the duvet pillow covers and the sheet covering the mattress, as I will find you the tasks of coffee, urine and semen! The carpets are unsatisfactory! A Formula 1 is much cleaner than this hotel! If the kitchen is in the same condition as the rooms the hygiene services should no longer be far away! To be reviewed.

Small charming hotel in a renovated old Castle. Swimming pool, sauna and pleasant treatments. Quality restoration.
The downside would be the residence next door that ruins a hair the view.

Abrupt residence at first but very well equipped and functional. Close to La Rochelle and the Isle of Ré. Nice!

As always staff available, professional, and smiling at the reception as in the restaurant. The pool always a plus. You won't be disappointed.

Home not at all up to a 5 star I was put back in place by the head of the reception on our arrival time. Everything is in the look we send a form before our arrival to optimize it and result is cata: waiting in the parking lot, no proposal to wait side bar picked up luggage must be too much requested. The rooms are nice the spa is not bad and the Resto is good quality against very little choice and the staff is quickly in the juice with 15 covers. I will not go back I had chosen this hotel as the hotel of the pornichet turrets was full.

Beautiful location and grounds. Few issues, such as water for the shower not very hot and some mold and rust in the side of the shower. We also weren't able to have dinner past 9:00pm, only desert. The bed was a double bed put together for a king size and was missing the fitted sheet. We were right on the mattress pad. Our room only had a shower, no tub, so ask for a tub if you prefer this. We also had another guest's name on our bed as a welcome letter. While most of the staff were quite friendly and helpful, there was an older French woman behind the front desk with short hair who was particularly rude and unwilling to help with simple questions about the area. I made every effort in French and English but she was not interested and either kept ignoring my questions or giving me short unhelpful answers. But the grounds were beautiful and the breakfast incredible.

Although it's a nice hotel with beautiful rooms I wouldn't describe a small swimming pool and a tiny Hammam as a 'Spa'.

Nice hotel with clean amd spacious rooms, but does not deserve their "spa" name… the 4 place hammam and the very little swimming pool in the cave are at best a nice to have, but no spa complex.

Great spa hotel with nice sauna and pool. Only downside is that the spa closes at 9 pm. Way too early!

Warm, fits great, pool, hamam and care, everything is there.
The Deluxe room was sublime colors warm and clean.
It would have been nice to have a bath but apart from that, I highly recommend this property.

The hotel is tastefully decorated, a host of first choice with a staff always listening and the smile on my face. Hammam, massage, everything is grouped in this place for a great relaxing time.
