➜ We spent a night here.
The apartments are small, without TV, but
but clean and snabble.
The gold washing was fun and you were allowed to take the washed gold in a small ampoule.
The hiking trails are well signposted and inform about German positions in the Second World War, which existed in Tankavaara.
The food in the restaurant tastes good, but the portions are small and so overpriced that you should think carefully about a visit here.
➜ Happen by chance traveling south, a pleasant surprise! Really nice and quaint place, it almost looks like an old west corner in Finland. Staff very friendly and helpful, good restaurant and offering typical dishes like reindeer. The bungalow was very rustic and cozy, with 2 beds at a square and a half and two singles. In the bungalow there was also a delightful fireplace, probably very useful in winter when I think it makes it really cold.
