Set in quiet natural surroundings, Hottituvat is a 30-minute drive from Tuusniemi town centre. It offers cottages with wooden interiors and a private sauna. Seinävuoren Rotkolaakso Nature Park is 31 km away. A fully equipped kitchen with a stove, fridge and dishwasher are featured in all cottages at Hottituvat. Each has a sofa, TV and a bathroom with shower, washing machine and clothes dryer. Most have a terrace. Leisure facilities include a private beach area. The nearby Joujärvi and Savenkaita-järvi are excellent all-year fishing spots. Popular activities in the area include swimming and berry and mushroom picking. The nearest grocery store is 30 km away. Kuopio city centre is a 1-hour drive from the cottages.

Few, very few kilometers away from any paved road, there are some few "cabins" or cottages, almost as middle of nowhere. Only that nothing is a huge forest and a Lake of RESTful waters.
After the obligatory sauna, it would be unforgivable to not dive into the Lake… unless the time of the year is not propitious because the ice cover its surface.
