Reluctant, careless & disrespectful staff / service
Not recommended at all!

Very rude staff! You have to know how to deal with your guests as this is so inappropriate! I have never seen this amout of rudeness and disrespect before!

I had my wedding there, it was perfect arrangement and food quality
Mr. Hisham was coopertaive and very helpful, he is a professional man in treating guests
All in all it was an excellent day.

Awesome place with awesome service. I loved it so much. And recommend it for anyone ❤️

There something weird about recommending a place for its remarkable view or friendly staff.
The astonishing part, is when the place gets fame & becomes a hit spot — they start to be ungrateful & unprofessional.
I am sorry to say that Windsor Palace hotel is one of those places. One of the worst places in alexandria. The respectful apologies that doesn’t mirror rudeness & unfriendly manners for the staff.
Don’t let these places feel selective or have the means to displease their guests.

what I liked, – The location is premium, the view is really amazing super super super, the restaurant at the 6th floor is really nice for breakfast, recommended to have breakfast included, they have alot of options for breakfast, oriental and intercontinental style, your customized omelet is available with added vegetables, dinner and others, the staff is very nice and hospitable, I will repeat this visit again for sure. what are the limitations,
Less of electrical connections is the main limitation of the hotel and the lighting is old so there is no options for lightings the room, they made it to match the vintage style of the hotel, but it should have another bold lights if needed.
The mini bar wasnt that good for cooling, some old furniture needs some little maintenance.

Very rude stuff! Specially whom they’re calling “the reserving management of skyroof”, They are the farethest thing from being managers!
They are dealing with guests as if they’re not paying infront of their useless service, They think they’re one of a time dealing with us like we’re begging from them!, A totally un respectable place and unrespectable people. We were 5 persons we’ll never step there again and we’ll tell everyone we know not to step this awful place.

This hotel charged my card that I used on booking twice for a total amount of 8400 Egyptian. And they won’t return my emails or refund my money even though I paid on arrival. They keep saying it’s a hold on the money but my bank made sure that I’ve been charged. Check you bank statements so this doesn’t happen to you.

It is one of the most amazing hotels in Egypt … Its design is one of a kind … The rooms are spacious and clean … The staff is friendly and helpful … The location is more than amazing.

Beware of Scam Non-Egyptian visitors should be aware of a scam this hotel operates in peak season times. If you make a booking via a third party web site, when you arrive they will say there is a mix up and the booking agency cancelled and it is nothing to do with them. Then they will offer you a direct room booking with them for over twice the price you booked for. I was lucky to find a room somewhere else but at peak season this is sometimes difficult.

Antique ambiance with friendly staff with the Skyroof disco and bar. Too loud for me but I'm sure those who like dancing and DJs will love it.

It's all about the view. The receptionist was polite & helpful… The room was clean & average not something fancy or ancient… The breakfast was good with nice varaities with a beautiful charmig view up there in the 6th floor… The price was so high for the room actually but I think it's because of the sea view… It was a nice experience but next time in Alex I ll try a cheaper one actually…

This is by far the worst hotel I have visited in my entire life. I visited this August and the air conditioning in my room did not work throughout my entire stay. I also had no clean running water for a while day and the hotel could not come up with an alternative solution. The hotel did some painting work on the first floor which meant that all rooms and the corridors smellt of gasoline. The breakfast was also not continental. The options were not fresh and the varieties limited.

I had dinner on roof. The view is great. Certainly the wire worth it. The food was all in serving but I guess it was OK to enjoy view more. I ordered pasta in white sauce, salad and soup. They were good.

This hotel is the worst I've ever been to in Egypt and probably in any country. I can't describe the horrible experiences starting with ACs not working in two rooms I've changed, to their unpreparedness in being able to treat a bride and groom and giving proper rooms and meals.
The hotel needs urgent refurbishment. Authenticity and style doesn't necessarily mean non working and old facilities. Some staff are also making our stay more difficult because it seems they do not know how to treat customers with proper courtesy.
Definitely agree with previous reviews about poor management and customer service. This is just the high level review but I am making a list of all problems and escalating to top management and will seek refund. DO NOT stay in this hotel.

The hotel is 100 years old, you can see it clearly in the construction, lobby, ceiling paintings, elevators, and the rooms, if you are looking for a luxurious stay then this is not the place, but if you are looking for a vintage stay, this is definitely the place! The ambiance is great, the location is magnificent, in the middle of old Alexandria, directly by the sea, overlooking the Citadel of Qaitbay and the eastern harbor. The reception staff are very friendly and great city guides. The staff are very friendly, very professional and very polite. The rooms are spacious, beds are comfortable, various TV channels. Breakfast is very convenient, especially while enjoying the great view from the 6th floor sky restaurant. Also the restaurant food variety and ambiance during dinner is marvelous.

Although we were staying at the Metropole Hotel, we always make a point of watching the sunset from the Sky Roof at the Paradise Windsor. We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived as the Sky Roof has been refurbished with a fresh new look and exciting new menu. The view is as spectacular as ever, the food was delicious and we enjoyed cocktails while the sun set over the bay. No visit to Alexandria would be complete without a cocktail at the Windsor Palace!

A vintage, throwback hotel. It reminds me of the Capone era hotel complete with the gated cable elevators. The buffet was good, the staff was professional and friendly and room service was acceptable. The view was spectacular.

Magical rooftop, the view of the Corniche is breathtaking.

Very antique kind of a hotel and you keep interacting with very warm, helpful and professional staff; from the front desk, concierge, room service everyone is really friendly and well trained. However I give it 3 stars only, because the place needs serious maintenance and more attention to cleaning. Corridors are very dark too.

Great place to stay. The Hotel staff are extremely helpfull and well spoken. The front rooms have a great view of the harbour. The dining room is on the top floor with fantastic views. Will go back there if in Alexandria again.

Hotel itself is great . But the room which suppose to be 35sqm ended up just like a chamber size. Upsetting. But location of the hotel is perfect.

This hotel has a very nice view on old Alexandria as well as the beautiful historic touch of the hotel. I have really enjoyed it. My advice is not to use your own car in the surrounding always jammed streets.

A historical place, the only good thing in the hotel is the roof top lounge overlooking the Mediterranean sea with an amazing view.

Spectacular location in the heart of the city with wonderful view overseeing the Mediterranean. Service is really good. Furniture and style is very classical and brings you back to the classy 40's. The place was originally one of the guesthouses for top VIPs.

We went there for breakfast. Open buffet breakfast at the time of writing this review costs EGP 75 per person. It's not the breakfast in itself that's amazing, but rather the panoramic view of, in my opinion, the most beautiful part of Alexandria cornish. If you enjoy bird watching, seeing the fishermen throwing and collecting their fishing nets, having a seat under the warm winter sun, or merely enjoying the sea and the boats, this is THE place to go! Ah. Breakfast itself is OK, not amazing but fine. But again … you don't come here for the breakfast. You come for the unforgettable view. Enjoy!

Such a historic and majestic hotel! OK, my first impression was like this place is really old, they even keep a very old joplan carpet hung right behind the reception. But as I stayed in the hotel I found out that the is well rooted and thanks to one of the managing stuff volunteered to explain how valuable each piece in the hotel is! I admired the Queen Elizabeth hall with all those ceiling painting and all those belongings of King Farouq; my kinds even had the chance to play Mary had a little lamb on his grand piano! I just wish this place would've been more properly maintained buy experts.

Hotel with sea view, sky roof restaurant and night club. Good food and hospitality. The sky roof restaurant is available for reservations, birthdays, parties, etc. Close to many key places in Alexandria, qaitbay citadel, Bahari, marine life museum, you can rent a boat and easily go fishing.

Pretty cool old hotel. The staff were great. Breakfast had a good selection of foods. The hotel is pretty dated, but cool. The one complaint I would make is that the Wi-Fi was terrible.

The building looks stunning as it was built in 1906. However, the facilities need a revamp. The toilets don’t need to feel as old as the building! The bathrooms had broken tools, irregular hot water supply, and a bit smelly. Lighting design is obsolete. Curtains were broken. Air conditioner was too noisy. Breakfast taste is pretty below average. Overall facilities and value for money was disappointing to an extent that we were considering checking out the next morning.

Very good location close to sightscenes and view is perfect, elegant majestic hotel The room toilet is below average (concerning smell ¬ very well cleaned).

It is not so clean and it's very old. The staff is good and friendly. But the management is not taking care of the furniture and maintenance. The location is nice but a bit noisy area. The view of the sea is amazing. However we stayed for 2 nights only and will continue in another place. For those who are picky like us, this hotel is a bad choice.

They have central heating system with inadequate capacity to supply all rooms. I had to take cold shower twice.

Wonderfull view to Alexandria's east port from the roof garden. Nice place to organize weddings' receptions.

Good central Location, clean rooms and modern washrooms, roof restaurant excellent for breakfast.

The hotel is old style and very attractive the service is good the location is super with easy access to downtown and transportation the breakfast is on the roof with super view of the sea.

Can be much better, smells bad, more like a wreck, and too much overpriced. I can get a room in a near by inn with quarter the price and almost same level.

It would require pages to tell the amount of things that went wrong in a three day stay at what they call a hotel. It was the worst hotel experience in my life and I have been to "Hans Brinker" who's marketing is based solely on being the worst hotel in the world. My stay at Windsor's palace was a joke and I will not bother to elaborating because honestly its not even worth the time. The amount of disrespect, carelessness was way beyond unprofessional and a picture is worth a thousand words. Ps. That is how they choose to fix broken air conditions. By putting trays and bags of ice inside so it would give the illusion of cold air and burn the place to the ground as it starts melting on piles of wires and electrical circuits.

It was a good hotel, I tried to get a room online but I found it in higher prices than I know about that hotel prices, so I went there and got a room directly from reception. The guy at the reception was not that professional, he gave me a wrong room and tgen the room I wanted and didn't delete the first wrong room, which made some little problems while I'm checking out till they understood the problem. But in general the room was clean and good. Only that unprofessional guy and the rude girl who are responsible for halls reservations.

The hotel is 1920's but still in relatively good shape. Our fifth floor standard room was spacious but under the kitchen. The breakfast buffet was great. The blue sky cafe was courteous but the bay views are to die for. Don't look out the back (standard rooms) except for laughs. The elevators are out of this century and almost worth the price of admission. But you have to see the night and the breakfast views from the sixth floor breakfast room and cafe. Service was friendly.

Very poor management. We made a reservation via email 2 weeks before arrival. Called them and sent visa information, we received no reply. 3 days later at 8pm the reservation manager sent us an email with a form to fill, sign, scan and send in 24hrs or they will cancel our booking. We replied back that we can not scan and send same day as we are traveling and will send it 5days later — which we did. We came to the hotel today and found they canceled our reservation.
What turned it into a big problem is how he management dealt with it. The reservation manager didn't want to meet us until we insisted to. His reply was meaningless: 'I sent u an email. U didn't reply. ' in careless tone. We asked God the manager and he was even worse. He came 15 minutes later, didn't apologize or state that it was the reservation manager fault that he didn't get back to us or reply at the time. He was rude, careless and unprofessional.
We used to go this hotel since 2005. It's quite a shame how the hotel degraded into such pitiful management system.

Beautiful Hotel. Friendly Staff. Comfortable to stay. If you get the seaview room, only problem is that due to traffic right in front of the hotel, there will be some noises from the car. Nevertheless, I, myself is very sensitive to sound at sleep, but it wasn't impossible to cope with.

A wonderful place to experience that Golden age era hotel with it's grand foyers, parlors, staircase, and rooms. The view from the roof top restaurant and cafe is magical, the rooms are comfortable, the staff friendly, and the location excellent.

Historical place, helpful staff, delicious food and most of all the wonderful view and thr sky roof lounge, in general quite nice place to stay.

Staying in the hotel was a delightful experience, the room was very clean, the Wi-Fi was excellent, the staff was so helpful, friendly and gentle especially Mr. Labib and Ms. Hadeer in the reception, and Mr. Mohamed in the roof restaurant, wish to spend my next vacation there.
