I love staying at the Dann Carlton. Service is top notch. Staff is friendly and the place is well located. It is about two blocks from Carolina Park and about five blocks from the mall and stadium. The area seems safe and had plenty of places to enjoy great food.

Great place to stay while in Quito. Staff is professional, friendly and effective. Many places to eat within easy walking distance. Park is nearby as well. Fantastic breakfast available at the hotel.

I've always loved the hotel. Its areas and the bouquet of flowers they have at the entrance. The staff is very friendly.

Super good attention of the hotel staff, you could better signposted inside the hotel… Like improving the toilets, especially the auditorium area. Overall a very good hotel.

Stayed for a family wedding 4 days. Hotel was excellent. Staff was excellent. Liverpool bar was excellent. Also liked the cafe for morning and afternoon coffee and sweets.

Nice atmosphere. Good-sized rooms. Free Wi-Fi available. Iron in the bedroom but no board. Shower over the bath. Comfortable armchair and sofa.

Very nice hotel, very friendly staff. Great variety in their breakfast buffet, I was able to eat well and quite being vegan. The hotel has a good location that you can walk to other places including La Carolina Park, when you return to Quito, I have to return.

I take a surprise the best tria or tripes with potatoes and SARS as my grandmother that rich.

Excellent. If gym is very good and the pool and humid area is the best of the hotels in Quito, although the rooms have a multi-year construction, the upkeep and warmth of the place makes up for it.

The hotel in general is fine. It is a 5-star Latin American, which in Europe and USA can be between 4 and maybe a good 3 stars. It does offer good services such as breakfast, restaurant, cafeteria, gym and pool, but all well old. The pool and Jacuzzi do not have a very good maintenance. All services are paid in part.
The counter service is excellent. The dates I stayed were during my birthday and I received a cake in the courtesy room.
When I asked for change for Wifi coverage, I was offered without objection.
They lend umbrellas if it rains in the street.
Good reception to the visitors.

Not a luxury hotel, but it is very clean, modern and centric. Big convention rooms and dinners. The style is very nice. Great for staying around the business center of Quito, this place is within walking distance of the main malls and there are lots of things to do there. Looking to host a small event or gathering? Definitely take in to accounting this place.

I doubt the management of Dann Carlton. First, I lived in the No 136 room, but the wall of first floor was painting, it was very smell. The hotel didn't inform me change the room. I asked the front desk changed room for me, then I lived in No 236 room. Unfortunately, I missed my passport in the safer. The house keeper picked it up, and didn't return it to me. I still lived in Dann Carlton for about ten days. Then I left the hotel. Before I left Quito, I couldn't found my passport, and I backed hotel, asked them to help. But they just searched it on the computer, then told me they can't find anything of me, and they would input anything that customer missing, even a sock… I went to the hotel four times, the manager just was seated at the front of computer, saying sorry to me. At last, I missed my flight. And second day, I went to the hotel again, asked another lady help me to search my passport, she asked housekeeper to search. Then they found my passport in a room that always in the hotel but they didn't record in computer. BAD MANAGEMENT！！！！！！ During I lived in the hotel, the waiter once forgot clean my room one day.

Went to the restaurant at lunch time on Sunday. Place was full. Buffet was generous. Aprox US$25. Oo. Live Music.

Good hotel and event place — lots of meeting rooms. The cafe in the lobby is great for a coffee, snacks, or lunch.

Fantastic hotel! I would compare it to some of the nicer hotels I've stayed in in London but for half the price. They also surprised me with a piece of amazing birthday cake for my 30th. The beds were amazing, the room was amazing, the facilities (bars, pool, gym) ALL amazing. Would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a fancy getaway.

The service is good, the food is somewhat okay. Good hotel for events though.

Standard rooms are nice, maybe just a bit dark. Cleaning is done almost on a daily basic. There is pretty good gym, with a small swimming pool though. Staff is always ready to help!

Breakfast buffet is surprisingly good! Rooms are clean and spacious. A little outdated but for Ecuador really nice. Bed comfortable. The service staff are hard working and quite amiable. Love the cafe in the lobby. Lots going on, pretty vibrant street with all of the bars and places to eat. In a nice part of town. I thought great value for rate which is under $170USD and includes breakfast. Parque Carolina is close by.

Noisy rooms… But when you don't mind sleeping with earplugs it is a very nice hotel.

Horrible experience at this hotel. Went to Quito, Ecuador for a friend's wedding. My boyfriend arrived 2 days after me and the hotel picked him up. They charged him $30 which is okay, but later I found out that my friend, who's getting married, already paid the $30. We also ordered room service and paid on the spot for the meal. But when we checked out, they charged us again! My friend reserved the original price for the 4 nights extra that we decided to stay. But when we checked out, I had to argue for me to get the same rate. Please do not book this hotel! Horrible and cunning people!

Great location in upscale part of town. Many choices for dining, Quicentro mall, Supermaxi, Parque La Carolina all within walking distance. The gym is one of the best I've seen anywhere, with pool, saunas and more. Rooms could use some modern looks and furniture. An excellent choice nevertheless!

Good hotel with helpful staff. Breakfast is very extensive with more than enough choice. Every day they have different products, which is nice if you are staying for several days. Fruit juice is freshly made, fresh fruit and a small salad bar and several choices of bread and warm 'snacks'. Omelets are made on the spot. The rooms are quite large with a comfortable 2 persons bed. Bathroom is clean with a bath, lavatory, a shower in the bath and a big mirror and sink. A hairdryer is fixed on the wall and there is complimentary soap, shampoo and conditioner. The TV is in front of the bed and there is a desk with a chair and an extra seat with side table. Unfortunately I was here during an earthquake, but staff was professional and took good care of us. When we were waiting outside they provided us with water, coffee and tea and eventually gave us green light to go back to our rooms.

It has good restaurants gym with swimming pool rooms. For events a good care and is located near all for a good price.

A year ago I was with my wife and it was an extraordinary experience. The attention on the part of the staff very good, the place very comfortable, beautiful, clean. Amenities, Internet access, dining rooms, etc. Completely flawless.
The kitchen spectacular. Varied and with flavors local and international. It is located in a very safe place, so that you can take a walk in the afternoon without any problems. Easy to reach.

Nice, medium size hotel with great service. Good mix of business and tourist clientele. Excellent breakfast selection, with all sorts of choices. The lunch and dinner restaurant, Opera, was also very good. Room was decent size and bed was very comfortable, though perhaps a bit dated. Good size bathroom. Very convenient location in an upscale neighborhood in town.

I always stay at the Swissotel when I'm in Quito, but the Glenn Carlton looks like a great hotel too! Near the Carolina Park. The Joker's casino is right in the back of the hotel, and about the only place in Quito where you can play sone live poker games.

Been there one night in 2006. They just were innovating. Liked the place.
