Very cool building with a 5th story terrace that overlooks the city!

I love so colonial that it is and feels I highly recommend it for world travelers who seek an experience cologne.

Basic but friendly hotel not necessarily 3 stars but depends on what you expect?
Love the colonial style of the place beds and pillows are hard if you like that.
Could do with putting a toilet brush in the bathrooms.
Not the most comfortable hotel but in terms of old colonial boutique style it gets 10 out of 10.

If you're used to North American Standards, the beds are a bit hard and the water pressure a bit weak. But, this is a very nice hotel with spacious rooms and good service. I would certainly stay here again.

Relaxing retreat from streets with gorgeous courtyard and rooms of all sizes tucked away or facing into central lush courtyard. Perfect location in old town and near La Ramba lanes (lots of restaurants).

From the location it is a practical hotel. Even the old walls can inspire. However, the equipment deserves only one star. The breakfast buffet is barren and extra payment for extras such as cereal or yoghurt. We had a very small bath where the drain was dripping. The shower had only lukewarm water.

Hotel San Francisco was a great place to stay in Quito! The artwork was vibrant and historical, the food was very tasty, and the rooms provided a nice sleeping area and hot water!

One night stay in low end room. Functional and comfy enough. Might be nicer to stay in more expensive room. Good location 5 min walk from main square and other attractions.

We traveled here on a charter bus, so I can't comment on the transit possibility of this hotel, but once you're in, you find yourself in a cute little hotel tucked away in a busy area. There is a grocery store right next door. There is complimentary Wi-Fi that is not very reliable. Rooms are what you'd expect in Quito with just soap, shampoo and towel supplied. Absolutely beautiful terrace though.

The Lobby is fantastic, breakfast in former prisoner area tunnel has good coffee, fruit, scrambled eggs and bread. Rooms are plain, bed very hard. The room had too much light at night. Location is great.

A breathtaking view of Quito and a retractable lobby/courtyard roof make this a great destination for travellers to downtown Quito.

Located very close to colonial part of Quito. Plenty of restaurants and shops close by. Very safe hotel. Days Inn comparable.

Historic and beautiful, but the rooms and bathrooms and beds are slightly uncomfortable, and smoke and noise drift into the rooms. Staff were very kind and helpful. Breakfast was good enough, scrambled eggs, toast and fruit.

This is a lovely place to stay in downtown Quito. Pleasant staff, lovely building and a quiet atmosphere — apart from traffic. Get a room as far above the street as possible.

Absolutely lovely! The old colonial style house is a gem and they have a nice little terrace on the roof from where you have a great view over the old town of Quito. We've been staying five nights at the beginning of our journey and will very likely stay here at the end of it again.

Totally recommend to everyone willing to explore Quito's wonderful Centro Histotico. No other hotel can beat their great combination of absolutely great location in heart of historical centre, charm of 300+-years old historic building yet with all modern facilities and warm welcomeness of their young and helpful staff. Well done Hotel San Francisco de Quito! Hope to stay with you once more!

Stayed here many times. The staff is very nice. It is definitely not your five star Sheraton, but it still has a homely atmosphere. The rooms are plain and simple but cozy.

We highly recommend this hotel. Wonderful staff and location. They were very helpful when my wife became ill.

The care is good, the rooms comfortable. The location is the best.

I must say that this hotel was great. What made it great for me was Havier who went out of his way to help this gringo find the rental car I "miss placed. " Havier thankyou. The hotel and staff are great. I would recommend the place to anyone. Although I had car issues while there, Havier and the staff were great. The hotel was top notch, perfectly located and the view from the top floor is spectacular. Thank you again Havier Doug B.

Very good and economical, it is spectacular because it is in the historic center of Quito, which is wonderful.
