Very clean very quiet room with air conditioning…

Very close to the ocean, the Mariposa is a small paradise of greenery that offers calm and freshness. The rooms are spacious, bright and very well maintained. Finally, the staff, always attentive to the guests, is very friendly.

A great place to stay in Olon, close to the beach and everything else. The owners are lovely and made every effort for us to be able to park our bikes in the courtyard, which was great. We had a lovely room, we could see the sea, private bathroom and really hot showers. Excellent breakfast served until 10.30am (good if you want a lay-in). Beautiful place, very clean. Highly recommended.

Very good value, reasonable sized room, no A/C or TV but good Wi-Fi. There is a fan in the room, which helps if the heat and humidity makes it hard to sleep. Good view of the ocean from the top floor, nice place to watch the sun set. Breakfast is $3.50 extra a day. Prepare to pay in cash.

Comfortable and clean rooms. The hostel quite cozy with its inner garden and the attention makes you feel at home.

We (25&26) stayed several nights in the beautiful hostel, nearly directly situated at the beach. It is very proper, everyday cleaning, hammocks and sitting availabilities in the garden area. They also have a shower in the garden you can use after returning from the beach. You can get breakfast if you want. The staff isvery friendly and helps wherever they can. We really enjoyed our stay pretty much and recommend this hostel to everyone who wants to pass some nice days in the quiet but very lovely and beautiful village of Olón.

La Mariposa is a quaint contemporary hostel that gets it Right! I almost would prefer to keep this a secret but it would be completely unfair to do so, the owners are top notch in running their operation known as La Mariposa (The Butterfly). The amenities are minimum because what you are getting is a prime experience. It is very clean and the staff is trustworthy and are helpful with recommendations. We would stay here in a heart beat again.
