Unfortunately I have seen how the quality of service has been deteriorating over the last few years. It is a wonderful historical, tourist place but the administrations and attention that is received do not cause you to return. We have brought foreign friends on different occasions, but we will no longer do so because the treatment we receive is embarrassing. To the owners please change management.

The price of the menu is exaggeratedly high for what it is, all they offer is a home lunch for $28 per person. They should improve or include some service such as a guided tour of the hacienda for example to make it worth the price.

Terrible service in food. A potato locro, a loin of skirt (being the hard meat we were told that it was not thin loin as we were offered) with a little potatoes and two slices of tomato and a piece of cake 28 dollars plus taxes.

It is a very nice place and there is excellent attention and it is in a beautiful province Cotopaxi.

I love Hacienda La Cienega — I have stayed there many times over the years. Beautiful 1 meter thick historic walls — great gardens and a large menu.

I stayed here for several days and the experience was wonderful. The staff was excellent, the breakfast was absolutely yummy. We wished we could have stayed longer!

Beautiful place, it was amazing being in a 500 year old Hacienda and hearing its history.

Contact with nature breathing pure air makes us return to a past full of nostalgia but at the same time be taken care of with a lot of kindness if you want to return to a time where it was easier to enjoy the sordid world La Cienega is the perfect place to rest Sar.

This was one of the best places we visited in all four trips to Ecuador. Truly an amazing hotel with plenty of history, great food, excellent staff and true eloquence. A must see place.

Nice grounds and nice rooms with fireplaces. Be sure ti always ask for the big menu (full menu). We had it our first night and the portions and variety was fantastic. Due to a language barrier and staff not asking preference 4/5 nights we ordered off the specials menu as it was the only thing visible and offered. Selection was limited, portions smaller, and price was considerably more. Recommend having at least one person fluent in spanish and english to ensure staff and guests are clear on what prices and included accommodations are.

I went to meet him and try the restaurant, the house and hacienda in general has its beauty and its history but the service is lousy and becomes more notorious for the prices of each dish, there was an old lady apparently in charge and asks the waiters to do certain s functions and these are even disrespectful and raise your voice. I don't think a customer deserves to witness those things and additional a lousy service from the waiters.

I am very sorry to confess that the food has completely malfunctioned, the facilities are poorly maintained and the garden areas and children's games are sloppy.
It is really a pain to look at how it is destroying an emblematic place of our gastronomy and National Historical Landmark.
I believe that it is possible to request support for its maintenance to the Ministry of Patrimony.

The Place from the architectural point of view is spectacular, the spacious and well decorated rooms, some with fireplace, the central garden is very nice. The food is not so special and expensive, nor did I like that they charge 10% of the lodging service. They're All very kind.

A good option to get away for a weekend and have breakfast or lunch in the country style. An entrance with large trees, which form an alley as a tale, leads to a house of Hacienda with many years of history.

Excellent, being there you transport in time and an attention with nothing to reproach.

Great rooms and very friendly staff.

Beautiful three hundred year old hacienda with a colonial chapel that will take you back in time. An iconic place of Ecuador and home of one of the most traditional and aristocratic families that produced several Presidents of Ecuador. Stay here or just have lunch; you will enjoy this experience.

Amazing hôtel. The place is so nice and makes you travel in old times. Staff is really nice. Highly recommended.

Terrible. We left the car in the parking lot and appeared with the rearview mirror twisted, and scratched all over the hood done on purpose. There are those who see the vehicles. I don't think back.

Beautiful views, and two very friendly dogs to greet us. I'm not sure that the water in our room was purified.

Unique experience. Worthy sleeping there one night to discover the typical historic haciendas where rich Spanish families used to live.

The place is very nice, the hacienda has an incredible history, unfortunately the food was not of my total liking.

Restaurant close to the Cotopaxi volcano, a restaurant that was once a farm, very nice food and service was great. Have a beautiful chapel, very nice path of very old tall trees. 100% place for a weekend outing.
