We were booked here by a travel agency. The rooms are big and clean but there is no soundproofing, so any noise being made by other guests (especially in the courtyard) is really disruptive. Also you have to be physically let in and out of the compound… Feels a little like being imprisoned when you're inside, and sometimes coming back from outside it takes 5 minutes or more for someone to hear you ringing the bell at the gate to get in. They also advertise free private parking but it is only at night. The breakfast is good and it's a pretty location with a nice rooftop terrace, but the atmosphere was too uptight and weird for my taste. It is also pretty far outside the city center and expensive compared to other highly rated hotels or rentals in Riobamba.
