I am not able to comment on the rooms in this hotel, but their customer service is second to none, hands down. Background story… I booked 2 rooms for my family after finding out that our flight from the UK would be 5 hours delayed, through the airlines website, as we would be too late to pick up our hire car for onward travel at the airport. As a result of miscommunication and because they thought we would not turn up, they took in guests from another overbooked hotel, so they had been given our rooms when we arrived at 2:30am in the morning. Hotel Østerports staff couldn't have treated us any better. Their night porter rang over 20 other hotels in an attempt to find us rooms, then offered us to stay and relax in the foyer, offering us refreshments, and giving us breakfast before we left to pick up our hire car. Furthermore, they arranged for us a full refund and waived the cancellation fee without question. Yes, the hotel is right next to a main rail line into Copenhagen Central Station, so there will be noise from the passing trains in the standard rooms, more so than in the deluxe rooms. Breakfast is what you would expect from a 3-star Hotel, maybe even better, so no complaints. If I need to book rooms in Copenhagen again, I wouldn't hesitate to go back to Hotel Østerport, purely on the basis of the way they made light of an otherwise chaotic situation.

The hotel is clean and well maintained and thats the only good things about it. In the other side its located directly by main rail line so expect all the noises you can think of. Windows are isolated good but the shake from trains going fast just by the window will keep you awake. Beside forget to open windows in hot summer due to noise. Even management are kind enough and locate ear plugs for you in the room. No car parking in premises, so you need to find parking in the streets nearby. Your room can be located about 150m from reception as its very long hotel so expect some walk. Try to ask for a room in the other side from railway, it might be quieter in there. Also don’t take a room at floor 1, its the ground floor, opening the window might be unpleasant. You can see rats playing near rail lines.

Horror! My daughter was bitten by bedbugs. And the rooms are not like in the photo. Just once again a big horror.

Great location just next to Østerport station. The hotel is newly renovated so the room was really nice and the interior was too compared to the price. We were three overnight guest in a room with a queen size bed and one bunk bed. Receptionist could be a bit more welcoming.

Very nice renovated hotel in front of the train station with a very good welcome, bike rental, shelf available for the city tour.

Impossible to sleep the rooms are 3 meters from the tracks the noise is constant as trains pass every 3 minutes.

Nice hotel in the centre of Copenhagen. The staff was very friendly, and our room was clean. Although they had renovations going on, it was very quiet, except the trains going by next to the hotel. I expected to be disturbed by them by night, but that was not the case. It is well situated, to the Little Mermaid it took us 15 min to walk, to the city centre (Rundetarn) 20 min.

Good price. The only problem is that in the rooms you find next to the train tracks you hear a lot. Otherwise, perfect.

This is not the first time. Now here is a repair. What is terribly annoying… The rooms are very clean and the Internet is very slow. In principle, it is not. The room was very clean.

It’s good hotel. Love the location across the street from main train station, direct from airport. 24 min Walk from downtown. Make sure you are not on the railway side “right” it’s noisy. But it’s being renovated now, the design looks woow. Let’s wait and see, I could give it 5 stars when they finish renovation. Decent breakfast is additional cost.

We stayed at this hotel mainly because it was mid-range. The train tracks are right next to the hotel, but it doesn’t make too much noise if you keep your Juliette balcony door closed. Enjoyed our stay here, it’s clean and does the job. Not central but nothing in Copenhagen seems to be too far away. Close to Østerport station and The Little Mermaid. Would stay here again!

This is a pleasant hotel. If you stay in the train side you may need noise cancelling headphones. I had a basement room in the train side and it took some getting used to. It's worth it! This place is so convenient. Walk to Nyhaven, or to the Little mermaid. The hotel bar is nice too. Great breakfast.

Great place with all comfort, very peaceful and near to the city center. All receptionist were kind and helpful. Definitely will go there again if I have the chance to.

This is a good value for money hotel. On the other hand breakfast I think it is expensive. It is better to eat outside or in town instead. This hotel is convenient for those who want that tonight not far from the airport and close to life at the same time. The hotel is right in front of the subway and the city is feasible on foot from the hotel. The Egyptian receptionist who is also called Mourad what a coincidence.

Location: 8/10 Staff: 6/10 Breakfast: 7/10 Room: 5/10 Cleanness: 7/10 Amenities: 6/10 The hotel is well located, near a train station and also just a couple (15) minutes of the city center. The staff is ok, didn't seem that friendly to me though. The breakfast is satisfying, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages, pancakes, bread, fruits. It was good enough for me. The room was terrible. Old and in urgent need of a renewal. Not clean, not enough light. The light switches aren't well planed. The bathroom is terrible, with the shower being a hand-shower. Not so clean as I expected, though the towels were changed every day. I'd recommend unless you're really on a budget. I was on a business trip and not traveling on a budget, btw.

Staff was friendly and rooms were ok. Sheets were not changed every day, shower curtains were dirty. Unfortunately, every 45 minutes a train roars by your window and you stand up in bed, even at night ☹ Rooms could use upgrades, and there was only one power outlet making it difficult for business travel. Breakfast was great, and the hotel is close to many businesses and ways to get around. I would stay here again if I was backpacking through Europe and 20 again. Not for business travelers, who need to get all the sleep they can get because of jetlag.

Nice hotel in a good position, close to the little Mermaid and not far from Center. Very close to the osterport station it's not very quiet due to the trains since the hotel is really on the railway. Very good breakfast and hi speed internet connection.

Front of the hotel is nice, and the free breakfast if you book online is great. The front desk staff — some were helpful, and some were rude. We asked for a double bed, and were given two singles pushed together. We asked for the double bed and were told we didn't want that because it's too small. Had to ask 3 days in a row. Rooms and hallways are old and outdated, but function.

This hotel was okay; basically, you get what you pay for. It was in a really convenient location, next to a major train stop and close to tourist attractions. Yes, it's literally next to train tracks so you hear trains all day/night, but that didn't bother me at all (it was actually pretty soothing). The hotel provides ear buds too, so that's good for light sleepers. The room was pretty basic, nothing decorative inside. It was clean and all the linens looked clean. The bathroom was clean too. The hallway was dirty; it's definitely in need of some improvements. The staff was polite, but I wouldn't describe them as friendly or kind (it might be a cultural thing? ). Of the three staff members we encountered during our stay, not a single one said good morning or good evening during the many times we passed them. In summary, a good place to stay if you're on a budget and looking for something easy and convenient.

Hotel is OK, the location is very good but every few minutes a train thunders over as it lies directly on the tracks. However, it will be quieter after about 11pm.

You'll want to get lucky with a room in the other side of the hotel away from the train tracks. Solid walls to reduce noise it seems but the trains are RIGHT there. They even provide two pairs of ear plugs. Ha. With the window closed its fine but could get stuffy depending on a warm summer day. Even closed, a light sleeper will have troubles but maybe not with the ear plugs. We didn't notice the complimentary plugs up on the desk until check out. Oh well.

I found it a nice place to stay during business trip. Some of the furnishing in the room might look like old style. Standard options for vegetarians in breakfast. Pleasant stay over all.

The hotel is next to the train tracks and sometimes annoying. Some rooms are excessively small, although they are clean.

Value for your money, however not fancy in any kind of way. Train track very close, you hear the trains passning. Good service and breakfast.

If you are looking for a bed and breakfast, it looks great inside but remember it is right next to the railway and half the rooms look onto the lines gr8 for train spotting not so good if you want to sleep!

Nice and clean, the lobby looks like 5 star, the rooms no, but still are cozy.

Very unpleasant shower. The water is lukewarm on the first night even if it has been put to the maxi hot.
The shower head has been blocked by limestone, in addition the water pressure is not adjustable. It stings on the skin. We got it by hand, and it's better.

The rooms are right next to the railroad tracks, fortunately it's not very noisy.

The train will keep you awake. Price wise you can do way better than this. Room is tiny and dated. If you leave your luggage they'll direct you to a room anyone has access to. Only plus point: really close to train station.

My room was ok, fairly clean and very neat. Small bathroom. The location of my room was probably no less than 10 meters away from the train tracks, that had trains running every couple of minutes up until the late evening. The hotel did supply earplugs, but you could still hear and feel the rumble of the trains running by. That was my only concern about my room. Nice location, easily reachable from the airport, good and friendly staff.

Convenient location but not much the beds. The mattress is soft and the pillow is too big. In addition, at night, if you keep the window open they enter the noises of the train, while if you keep it closed it is too hot.
In addition, luggage storage is possible in an unlocked room and not close to the reception. Breakfast is just OK.

The hostel is more than valid, great location next to Østerport station and the overall quality of the property is good. Although you see it is not brand new It is all well maintained and cared for. The proximity to the station is not problem for the nights that are very quiet! The price-quality ratio is very high, especially for those who come to Copenhagen to visit the city and use the hostel just to sleep.

Good location, though right by train tracks so can get train noise, didn't bother me really. Nice clean rooms, good breakfast and friendly staff. Free Wi-Fi, free ear plugs and other standard amenities provided.

One of the worst I have been to ever. I don't think it's any close to a 3 stars hotel. Terrible sound proof, u can hear neighbours and upstairs talking，walking around, having sex… The train runs right outside the window, shake the whole room every 5 mins. The hotel only looks nice in the bar and reception, as soon as u walk towards the room, and of course the room as well, all looks kinda old. Things looks kinda clean but old so can't really tell for sure. Not much contact with staffs but they seems alright. We ordered a double room, but there's only one bedding was prepared. There's an extra in the closet but u have to put the cover on etc by urself — I didn't pay to be a room service staff myself. I ordered double room, would expect things prepared for 2 ppl. Oh, and here's only one plastic glass prepared in the toilet instead of 2 as well. Over all, not what I expected for.

The very friendly, the breakfast I felt pretty good, very well located and very satisfied with the service in general. All according to what I paid for.

Booked a double & they give me a twin room instead, stupid staff just bullshit its a "double room with twin bed", altering the definition of double room, thanks retards.

Excessive price for a rather small room. Window directly next to train tracks, so it's very loud. Not recommended. Breakfast was ~10 Euro extra.

Hotel long and narrow, it looks like a train! And is close to the railway, but the rooms are well insulated. On the other hand is quite central and walk you go anywhere.

So close to the train railway that every time a train pass by (very frequently) all the room shakes and it is noisy for sleep comfortable. And the Wi-Fi signal is more than poor.
