Never before have I seen customer service like what I saw in this hotel. A couple of members of reception staff should not be allowed to have contact with customers/people in general. Our payment for the hotel was refused because of a supposed problem with the network connection. We attempted twice to pay, but when we kindly suggested to the man on reception (I will not call this man a gentleman) that he should give us a confirmation from the terminal he got really angry and told us that we don't even speak Czech anyway so why do we need it. The woman, well she looked at us like we were something scraped from the bottom of her shoe. When we went to the room we found a pair of old trainers in the wardrobe. The man on reception found this hilarious when I took them down to him and gave us no apology. If you want to be treated like rubbish then I recommend this hotel wholeheartedly. These people are nasty, aggressive and sly.

Very comfortable, friendly hotel Alton. Thank you to the staff for the warm welcome, delicious breakfasts, clean, warm room and smile. Here I want to return more than once. Will recommend to all friends. Alton is well situated: close to metro, not far from the centre and delicious restaurants, cafes. Have Russian speaking staff. Alton, prior to the meeting.

The hotel is awesome and very easy to get to places but what makes it even better is the staff.

Very nice hotel with big rooms, helpful staff and excellent breakfast. Located right next to a Metro station and easy walking distance to the train station and Wenceslas Square. Quiet rooms and lots of good restaurants in the area.

Very friendly staff. Good location. Vaclav Square is a short walk away. Breakfast is modest, but for 3 euros you can diversify. The room is not big, but. There is air conditioning, hairdryer, kettle, refrigerator and safe. Recommend.

Great Hotel. Got into it by accident (changed instead of Abe), which we have never regretted, as compared the impression with the rest of the party, Kotooaya got in Abe.

We booked the room on the wrong weekend and while it was kind of them to transfer the room from the holiday weekend we originally booked to a standard weekend, they were unwilling to give us the real (lower) rate. Service was bad. Lots of side-eye from the desk guy. But it is very central.

Alton is situated very near to city centre, with direct tram and metro from I. P. Pavlova station (1 min walking from the hotel) (tram 22 runs through this station) Rooms are similar to what you see in the pictures. Quite silent and cozy environment. Helpful and friendly staff. A decent breakfast spread as well. Highly recommended if you are looking for budget hotel in Prague.

Beds/pillows are terribly uncomfortable. I’m having difficulty sleeping on such a hard flat unsupported mattress. Also I’ve been smelling cigarettes on the 3rd floor hallway for the entire stay which I find very bothersome. The location is great and staff is kind however the hotel is a bit dated.

Great location to go anywhere either by foot or by metro or tram, however easy to take, clean, good breakfast and free, basic but comfortable hotel only missing the bidet but alas it will not be the only hotel without it.

Great hotel in Prague! Friendly staff and a great breakfast. Only 10 minutes on foot to Wencelslas Square. Metro and tram service are basically outside the hotel door. Would definitely stay here again!

Very well communicated, rooms as shown on the page. Very good release. Clean with herbidos and a small refrigerator. I highly recommend it.

The hotel is like! Pros: 1. The location, near everything — the metro, tram stop, obmennik, magazinchike and of course Wenceslas square, where close to staromeska square, and Charles bridge etc; 2. Numbers for Europe are very good, quite acceptable for the price. The rooms are cleaned every day; 3. The staff is friendly, know languages. 4. Air conditioning, especially when the abnormal heat this year; 5. Wifi works very well. Minus one — Breakfast monotonous, same thing every day. Well, it is tasty and not had time to get bored.

Bad Customer Service The front desk guy with glasses had a bad attitude. I asked about available rooms that I saw on agoda and asked if I could pay in cash instead. Asked if I could see a room as well. Very rudely stated all rooms were booked by online hotel booking services and that I needed to go thru the online booking and all the rooms were being cleaned and could not be shown. I asked if I could use the Wi-Fi to book a room. He replied Wi-Fi is for paying guests only. I was going to book a room but after nerd glasses front desk guy wasn't even willing to let me use their Wi-Fi to book a room… I took my business down the street to Hotel TYL (which is cleaner and has nicer customer service and about the same price).

Friendly staff and great location. You will find everything at walking distance like food, shopping, metro just 1 minute away, tram stop 1 minutes away and bus stop just in front of reception. 15 minutes walk and you are at main train station. Money exchange just next to hotel and offer great deal with no commission. Quite and beautiful. Room is specious for two person. Loved our stay. Definitely come back.

The hotel is adjacent to the central area, is about 1, 5 km. Clean rooms, breakfast buffet.

The hotel offers excellent service, good value for price and quality. The hotel location is most convenient. I lived on the 5th floor — fridge, safety Deposit box, air conditioning — full set of all there. Highly recommend. If you come to Prague again, will stay again only here.

Breakfast delicious. Eaten at different times all just enough.
Recommend a walk not only down to Ječná Wenceslas square and the historic center, but also up to the Holy Church, Jugoslávská Ludmila (a couple blocks), and from there to the left up to the wonderful city of the Riegrovy sady Park.
Magnificent views of Prague, plus bonus almost close see Prague "bojkonur" — — — rode with when they climbed on her children) ) ).
