Lovely lunch an a generous glass of yummy rose!

Went here for a meal on our first night in Prague. Arrived about 21.45, and relatively empty. Food served within 10 minutes of ordering. We both had potato soup to start which was delicious. I had goulash with the recommended side serving of bread dumplings which was really nice. My husband had fried pork in a bread crumb type of coating with what looked like a potato salad/coleslaw type of side. Ade had a dark beer which, when I had a sip, had a sweet taste. I had a glass of red wine, cabernet sauvignon according to the bill, which went down very well. Bill came to about £35 with 10% service charge as extra. Would go here again.

Amazing place with romantic old style rooms. We hope to return there soon!

Had a lovely meal with excellent house wine after a visit to the castle, a really good find.

This hotel is nice but with a few drawbacks. It is up a big hill right next to the castle and makes for a long walk when coming home at night (or u could uber for cheap). Also no air-con. But a lot of places are like this. (they have fans). Great breakfast and also a great family room on the top floor with 3 beds. Perfect for a family of 4.3 minutes walk to castle.

Absolutely recommended! Great little 4 star hotel on the Prague side of the castle. The reception is at the Golden Star Hotel. The reception was perfect, sparkling wine for welcome and for every 1 bottle of water. Super dear everyone. I can only recommend it.
Our family rooms (was kind of a suite) was great. Overlooking Petřìn Tower (Prague's Eiffel Tower). All lightning-blank clean! Breakfast small (the Red Lion has only about 8 rooms) but totally fine. Of everything involved. Better than in many larger houses! Really great, with warm part and even sparkling wine to take yourself. Very cosy and relaxed for breakfast.
Wi-Fi worked perfectly like home. That is important for everyone these days.
The castle is a 2-minute walk away. Perfect. Absolutely corresponds to the 4 stars.

The experience here was amazing, the hotel works under the Golden Star Hotel up the road. We rung the bell and a lovely man came down from the hotel to greet us and show us around. The concierge in the Golden Star was just as friendly, they gave us lots of information. The castle was directly up the road and there were tonnes of shops nearby, cafes, restaurants and general shops, the metro was just a ten minute walk down the steep hill. The room itself was spacious, old fashioned but cosy, good sized bathroom and a big bedroom! Very warm despite the minus temperature, breakfast underneath the restaurant was also well catered. Would definitely recommend.

Very beautiful hotel in the Heart of prague. The rooms are very big and clean. Good staff!

Very nice hotel, we felt at ease. Our room was great: large, spacious and cozy. Breakfast is quite sufficient: different kinds of sausage, cheese and jam and quite a few other things. The location is the hammer and all the staff are very friendly. We stayed with our kids there (1 and 4 years) and always felt welcome.

The hotel is great, in the most prestigious location in Prague! But! ) The most prestigious place in Prague is on the mountain and every evening, 500 meters to the mountain from the Charles Bridge! Who is fat and lazy, so do not like. I was happy!

The place is beautiful, the interior of the hotel under the old age, the room is clean, liked. But, the key to the room 1, for a family of 4 people, downstairs restaurant (tasty but expensive) and a wicket, closing on the same key. The husband went out to smoke, automn slammed and walk… And yet, the elementary absence of the same shower cap, gel 1 PCs and others, can spoil the impression even from the most chic place.

This is a nice place to stay and have lunch. Home made food in a cosy atmosphere near Prague Castle.

I was with my husband having lunch at the restaurant of this hotel. I ate a delicious roasted duck and he had pig. For dessert we split a “hot love”. Everything was great, the service, the food, the wine, the location and the prices! We loved it and we recommend.

Perfect place to stay for sightseeing! Clean and nice Rooms makes this Hotel for a great starting point to Explorer Praha. With Breakfast great!

Low budget hotel in a nice location. Old furniture in the rooms, free bottle of wine, no elevator and no help with the luggage. Proper service at the reception desk which is located in another hotel. It's a good low budget place to stay in.

Excellent location, friendly staff, beautifully furnished rooms. The bed was a bit too soft to my taste, and I never got additional shampoo and body lotion even though I stayed for five nights. Everything else was just great.

Authentic food and excellent no fuss service. The atmosphere is old Prague and away from the harsh tourist buzz. Highly recommend this restaurant.

I booked via last-minute on the same day, however, upon arrival, I was given a room at Golden Star Hotel next door run by the same owner. Most probably, they didn't even prepare the room at the time of booking. This was a scam, and the stay was just as in a cheap hotel with a standard rate. Ie, I have paid over 100 USD for disappointment.

The room was very nice and very comfortable, but the check-in was at the golden star hotel. Not sure if it would be good for disabled guests as no lift.

I loved our stay here. Small place, no elevator, so it may be a problem for some of you. But the location was perfect. They don't have parking, but nearby there is a place they help you to park your car, just try not to get lost. They provided breakfast in the basement, very nice atmosphere. The room actually fooled us at first, we entered the room, there were 2 best, so we thought we are all set. Then as we walked further down the corridoor we noticed there was another room to sleep in, a better one, it took us a minute to realize that we got two rooms essentially. There was jakuzzi in the bathtub, and we have a decent view from the window.

Best hotel&service one can find for the money. Great rooms with lots of space, food is great and the location is perfect for touristing around the castle&petrin hill.

We found the food and service here to be excellent. The dining area was warm and cosy with charming Czech décor, very welcoming on a cold winter evening. We had a starter and main course, both were excellent, accompanied by a bottle of argentine Malbec. We both had decided to avoid the 'traditional' Czech menu as we have found this is generally the same wherever you decide to eat in Prague. Instead we opted for the speciality and chef recommendations, and were not disappointed. Our knowledge of Czech phrases is growing but still fairly limited, so we were pleased that the waiter spoke fluent English and was happy to do so. His service was polite and professional.

Very cozy hotel with kind, helpful and very polite staff. It is located in a beautiful centre of Prague city. Close to all important sightseeing. Not expensive at all :)

Charged 390 but ordered a food for 260 : (.

We stopped into the Red Lion because of the specials listed outside. The ambiance was nice, though the music was playing too loud. The food was the worse we've had in the Czech Republic other than McDonalds. The meat was tough and the chicken mediocre. The soup was flavorless. When it came time for our bill we saw that we were charged 120 kc (about $5.50) for a. 7L bottle of water and 50 kc for four small bread rolls that we didn't order. Thumbs down on this one. It's a tourist trap.

By far the worst restaurant we do on prague!
The terrace is poor and in full sun. It looks to disturb staff who did not have the slightest smile of the entire meal. While we were there, a group of 4 people to asked to move a table which was partly due to the Sun, that they were denied while the deck was almost empty!
Side not better food, very little choice, nothing extraordinary in the proposed bit of dishes and desserts really bad.
And the Bill, the bad surprise! In addition to being the most expensive we've had during the stay and for Kouronner (I of phony Word) at all, they do not take the blue card, forced to leave ATM down the street!
Frankly, the amount of the restaurant now in the street, avoid this one!
And if the hotel is in the same vein, avoid the hotel too.
