Botel Marina Hostel

We really liked the Botel Marina. The entire décor is tastefully modern and clean. Our room was spacious, as was the bathroom. The only drawback of the room (probably applies to all rooms) was that it is very clairvoyant and we were able to follow the "activities" of our neighbors …
The breakfast buffet is typical of the country, relatively extensive and has offered good quality. The restaurant, which will later be operated in the same room, we could not try, but the room is very nice and friendly and the prices should probably fit. The bar on the top deck is also beautifully designed and invites you to a leisurely end to the evening.

Sideer beautiful and clean hotel. Staff very friendly and nice. Since we arrived very early (04:00, believe), we were allowed to sleep in the room at no extra charge in order to sleep and freshen up. Was a positive and beautiful experience on a ship which was converted into a hotel to stay overnight. It is sometimes something different and only recommended.

Room small size but no need more, extra bedding and very clean bathroom.
Located in the Harbor, easy access to shops and bars on the pedestrian street.
Possibility to pay in euros, reception in English possible.
Friendly welcome to the hotel, a little less at the restaurant in the evening but breakfast service very good, buffet very garnished.

Interesting place to eat a lunch. Food isn't that god but prices are ok.

It was just so unexpected… we got to Rijeka in a rainy afternoon (not uncommon… we found out), no reservations whatsoever, unknown to the city, with no Wi-Fi or very limited, etc… with everything against our odds. Suddenly "Carmen" suggested us to try Botel Marina. It was the best thing it happened to us. In just one night we knew the best staff ever, the best food, refreshing "pivos" or beers, entertainment at night (dancing to "The Beatles" renditions), etc, etc. Strongly recommended!

Great pace to stay, well priced, plus very near the centre of town. It's my first choice when I go to Rijeka…

Loved this place! Mostly quiet and small. I don't need a huge room and all the amenities, just a place to lay my head and shower. The price was way under what a 4-star place wanted but who needs bellboys and breakfast when you can sleep on the water? Restaurant on board. Staff speak excellent English. They even arranged for a taxi this morning so I don't have to walk to the train station before dawn. Would definitely stay here again!

Particular as an alternative solution to the classic hotel. Small room With some design flaws. The bed however was worthy of a five star hotel… New sheets and very comfortable for a nice rest.

This is a very old retired yacht/livestock carrier/ferry vessel who in recent years found it's new carrier as a hospitality and restaurand facility. The engine is replaced with boiler room and bedrooms, which existed even before. Except engine, all of other equipment is still present on board, including dining rooms, saloons and terraces The rooms are cosy, the food is fine, the service is professional, and the overall experience is just excellent. Marina lives.

One of the most interesting places where I ever stayed. A boat in the middle of the port within walking distance from all the interesting places in town. My room was an actual cabin with all the necessary amenities. The garage space is converted into a cool reception with a hipster vibe.

Now certainly not a luxury night, but an experience to sleep on such a big ship. Just cool.

Very good spaghetti carbonara there… also the rooms are super.

The location was great, since you can see the sea from your room, the interior was overall quite nice.

Rooms inside a ferry readjusted to hotel. Basic but functional rooms. Nice breakfast on the deck of the ship. The proximity of the hotel to the center makes the solution also particularly advantageous from the logistic point of view.

Awesome place with cheap rooms! Sound comes through between rooms a bit though. Room discount for the in-house restaurant. Also has a bar. Really cool and unique place to stay for a bit with a great location.

Cool location, sometimes live music, and great restaurant and friendly staff all was perfect.

The very good location, the cheap price and the charm to stay on a 80 year old cutter are the strongest pound of this botel. The breakfast was also really good, had less expected! The reception helpful and nice. Volume has to be planned, since at the same time a larger school class has stayed, which the teenage certainly found great.

The idea is appealing, but those who imagine the rooms as "states room" will be disappointed. The cabins are all locked in the hull of the ship and the portholes. Think it is adapted engine casings. The breakfast is of high quality, service and ambiance but remind strongly of a school canteen. At regular price I consider it overpriced (like everything in Ex-Yugoslavia), as online bargains it can be quite interesting for one night.

Very nice place, I like it a lot. I visit it a few time a week, polite stuff — reasonable prices, nice intetior and view, good feeling all at all.

Really good hotel in a great location. Rooms are nice and the food is very good but if you can't climb stairs you may find this botel a bit difficult cause it's 4 levels and it has no elevator.

Breakfast good and room clean but slope! So also in bed inclined position! But everything funny made unfortunately staff very different! The one very friendly and the other just the opposite, even outrageous.

Great concept, a boat with a hostel/restaurant/cafe. The restaurant is great, very affordable and tasty! It offers daily menus at a price of 34 kuna! A must to visit in Rijeka.

Great place with a nice view of the marina. Restaurant with really tasty food at affordable prices. There is also a daily menu which is usually cheaper than the rest of the menu (served until 3pm! ). Cute cafe on the top deck.

Beautiful renovated passenger ship in centre of Rijeka. Everything you need is in a 5min walk radius. Delicious food in their restaurant offering Mediterranean food as well as a gluten-free menu. Great and warm staff, beautiful rooms with bathrooms. An experience everyone should try…

Location: Top, located directly in the harbour. It's a ship, after all. ;)
Rooms: Super comfy beds, great facilities.
Service: One of the best I have experienced so far!
Conclusion: At any time again.

It is not a classy hotel, but it's all there. The rooms are larger than you would expect on a boat. Everything is wrong, this is funny. Small but good Breakfast with healthy (fresh) stuff, and the normal sausage-cheese-bun things. Price-performance is very good.

An interesting place in a city of mediocre. We just went to get something to drink at the bar and we thought it would be nice.

Very original site. On deck there is a bar giant very well decorated. Sell craft beers.

The restaurant offered wonderful food, and was hosted by an pleasure of a waiter. Breakfast was lovely and the location was beautiful, very central. Only downside I would say is that there was a function on the top deck (a salsa night which ran on to the early hours of the morning) which sounded lots of fun, but made trying to sleep very difficult.

Stayed in the hostel section. Very nice, clean with a price of € 20 including breakfast. Courtesy is present in all the staff. For dinner, go up to the top deck where you can enjoy typical local dishes of fish and meat dishes. Early breakfast organized in buffet, allows guests to choose from dozens of delicious foods and drinks for every taste. Recommended.

Very nice b (h) otel with hostel character: creative, friendly staff, superb location. Only minus: rooms are pretty loud and you will hear your neighbour snorring.
